So, its da last year of 2005. I'm actually waiting for Gaya's call. Eh pandi wake up!!
Anyway, had MM tutorial on thursday evening. Where only 7 of us were there. But it was fun. I mean, with Kai there's usually fun, plus a lotta dumb jokes lah. Haha.. Rajwant and i went to Pasir Ris beach after that.. Had a fun ride.. Desa joined us too.. Picked up Benny at Whitesands..
Only Uzair, Terry, KhorkiEe, Fid & Ifa were there. Terry's marinating skills are damn GOOD! The chicken was power lah.. Haha.. Vanisha came around 10.. And Carolyn and Maddie dropped by too. So we were just eating and slacking.. Haha.. Terry made us play 'monkey' with Fid, Uz and himself. "Monkey", soccer style!

Sent Vanisha off at around12:45.. Got a ride from Hafid!! Haha.. While Terry is the cautious rider, Fid is "all-hell-let-loose" kinda rider! Haha.. But, it was Fun!
Went back to the beach and Fid wanted to teach me to ride his bike. Yup, here's where Sivan the Stunt Biker comes in. I should prolly let Uz narrate the whole story, cause it happened so fast, i couldnt rmbr much! So in the end, i was doing some dirt-bike jumping stunts with Fid holding on to the throttle and all falls down; Me, Fid and the poor Bike. And we all sustained injuries. I felt so bad for Fid, but he felt worse for his bike. Anyway we were at the carpark, tryin to fix the gear and thank god, by 4am, everything was alright. =)

So this little incident has put me off bikes for the moment. But nevertheless, it was really really fun. Thanks Fid! I sure have something to rmbr it by. And of course, the bruises are a constant reminder!

Played daidee and ate somemore till 4:30 and Fid wenta send Ifa home.. So it was good night for Uz and me. We joined Deen & Terry who had already been knocked out lah..
Slept or rather tried to. It was freezing. Left at 9 the next morn and cabbed home, and zonked out. Tired lah..

Premma came over in da afternoon. Got woken up by her. Now when im tired and got insufficient sleep, i tend to be a little cranky. Haha.. so i was tryin to sleep. But it was hard when u haf a mum and a friend who were so persistent in waking me up. Rise and shine for me i guess. Yeah, at 2pm.. had lunch and just slacked with Premma.. thanks for the xmas gift. its damn cool. My 1st white shirt after countless black ones. I made a resolution not to buy any more black t shirts. haha.. see if i can keep it..

Went to da temple in da evening with the parents.. the temple is simply beautiful. its at Ceylon Road.. which is near Siglap lah.. bloody hell, saw so many damn good eating places on my way there.. ya lah khorKiee, u'll never go hungry again man! haha..

anyway, i tried to chat with God. but it was hard to. hmm well ya, so God, i hope you heard what i was tryin to tell you. I think you did. Cause you always do. I just felt this unexplained feeling of contentment when i was in the temple. ahh well, hope things remain like that.

wenta dad's uncle's house after that. uncle is damn funny lah.. he is a joker! well he's only a year older than dad anyway.. haha..

Shalini called. i always have trouble figuring out whether its really her when she calls my home phone.. so it'll be a few seconds after when i finally know its her! haha.. i wonder why..

talked to Dass after that.. deiiii, i hope things are better for you next year. migavum nandri for ennuden paesiyertharku. no matter what anyone says, nee oru nalla nanban! i hope you know that! olunga padi please! paaru lah, unnalae naan tamil-il blog pannugiraen! haha.. loosu lah.. puthaandu vaalthugal anyway! :) PS: i hope you can understand my detiorating tamil spelling! haha..

i learnt that sometimes, letting go is the way to happiness.
and i learnt alot of stuff.. but well, save it for the next year, or the next, or even the year after next. =)

Happy New Year's eve. Dun drink and drive. Really.

Khorkiee and terry paid me a visit today! Haha.. just to eat prata.. i forced them to have an appetizer meal at my place first.. haha.. anyway, we prata-ed at Casuarina Curry. it was nice to see Keerthi's mum. =)
khorkiee as usual, ordered 2 plain. haha.. u r plain man! its not called simple k! amazed at how many pratas terry ate! another bottomless pit.. i stuck to my fav mushroom cheese. haha..
it was good talkin to both of them.. a pity khorkiee had to leave earlier.. and so i waited for terry to finish his prata as we chatted about diplomas and school and all lah. that fella is one practical guy who really makes sense. he has a good head on his shoulder. isnt that good? how wonderful it would be if all guys were like that?! haha..
so kind terry sent me home on his vespa.. okay lah, it was my first time on a scooter. deprived right? i know! i really thought i was gonna fall off.. haha.. and terry was assuring me and asking me if he's riding too fast.. it was fun, really. and i looked like a martian with his helmet! :) if only dad allowed me to get a bike license.. sighhh.. someday k, someday..

oh ya, i went to da doc today. coz i had a cyst in my eye. erm.. under my eyelid? something like that lah.. so doc said he had to cut it open.. now i shall go into the gory details!

firstly he injected me with the anaesthetic. he injected it in my eye! i could literally feel the needle going in.. -shudders
and then he put a cotton swab onto my eye and applied a bit of pressure. i felt like my eyeball was gonna pop out.. not funny man..
after that i couldnt really feel much but the doc was like slicing the skin and all lah. could feel the scapel or whatever its called.. and heard a 'snip-snap' with the scissors.. haha.. wth right..
finally it was over.. doc put some bandage over my eye. wah.. i was a cock-eye there man.. when i left his room, everyone was staring at me.. and this little boy came into the clinic, looked at me and ran to his mummy asking "how come there are one-eyed people"?! wahh.. thanks alot!!

next time, i shall take care of my eye properly. and try never to do this again. now i have a goldfish eye.. wonderful..

You know what, i'm back to square one. Bad news Dass..
Ha ha ha.. I feel like laughing. 18 years and here i am, back again. I'm getting kinda sick of it. But i dunno what to do. Or rather, how to get it over with. Anyway, let's let off some steam: FUCK MAN!!!

That feels better. Have you ever been in a verbal fight? Scream-fest? What a waste of energy. I did that in sch when i was 15 i guess. You do stupid stuff when you are 15 or so. But well, some still do stupid stuff no matter how old. I guess sometimes age can't be just a number. Its a gauge of maturity, at times.

The world did seem different when i was 15 or 16. Well people change don't they? I did. Alot of others did too. But there's still a group of people who are stuck on to themselves and think they are so damn right about things. Lets say "wake up" to them k.

Talked to aunty Ron last night as we were going home. Adults who actually give a hoot about kids' and teenagers' opinions are great. I mean, i don't talk much to dad. At least there are uncles and aunts to talk to. I'm glad i have a close-knitted family. Well, at least some of them are.

Respect. If you can't be bothered to give me the respect i deserve, then you can forget about getting yours. Its that simple isnt it. Kids nowadays have pretty little respect for anyone out there. Signifies something.

Xmas just reminds me of one thing. I'm not sure i wanna be reminded of that.

Yesterday was a great day.. of course, its Shalu's birthday.. But before that, dad, mum, brother and i went to have lunch at this place in little india called "Sakunthala's".
Now you see, that place serves chinese and indian fusion food. So brother and i were searching for good food lah. And what do Mr and Mrs Ramasamy do? They order the-smae-old-food.. Aiyoh kadavallae!! So i whispered to bro, "actually we dun hafta order. the parents have ordered for us. the same old food!!!"

But that's not the issue. As long as i get my naan and brother gets his mutton briyani (which is bloody expensive) we are happy! Brother as usual, was being sucha clown. Mum went "boy, poi kai kaluvu" (boy, go and wash your hands). And brother, "amma, ingae vanthu kai kaluvu, kaal kaluvu appadinu sollakuudaathu!" (ma, dun come here and ask me to wash my hand, wash my leg!"
Okay lah, it sounds funnier in tamil! haaha.. and the way bro said it of course!

So the nonsensical brother of mine was acting like some vellaikaaran, firstly he used fork and spoon to eat. then he didnt want the kudal, which is erm, intestines!! hahahaha.. i hate it by da way! "intestines? atrocious!!" haha.. that was wat bro kept saying.. aiyoh.. how to eat when he is making me laugh?!

Lunch was over and i cldnt resist taking some pics there! haha. my bro cant smile for nuts!! then he drove us back.. Shock number 1. Actually that was the only shock lah! We drove to J8, where bro and i were gonna meet Sajeetha. So dad got out from the passenger seat, and i got out too. and he takes his wallet and asked me

Dad: girl do you want money?
and i was momentarily stunned! and i said no. cause i had enuf cash lah.
Dad: u sure? money for your expense lah
and i said i already have.
Dad: for brother?
Me: he has too. (though its kinda otherwise?!!)
Dad: from my bonus lah
Me: amma already gave me!!!
Dad: how much she gave?
Me: hundred!! -grinning
Dad: -stunned- did she give brother?
Brother who just came to my side, had no idea what was going on lah.
Dad: did amma give you money?
Bro: ah? no.
so dad took out a 50 dollar note and gave it to bro.
Haha.. and mum was happily sitting in da car and watching this drama.. haha..

Dad nv really gives us money when we go out. That's mum's job. Of course now i dun really take money from her. Since i always have sufficient for myself. Yup.

Bro and i wenta meet Sajeetha who was with her friend Guna. We sat outside Coffee Bean and i finally had my caramel ice blend!! haha.. and gundu brother was makin us laugh again! he was lookin at Jeetha's birthday photographs and kannu kaluvuraaning the girls there! oh god..
Deeps came a while later..

And then, bro and i had to go back to tekka.. So we took a bus there where bro was telling me his "sondha kadhai, soga kadhai". Yup.. and we reached tekka.. walked and saw Jeeva's Clan makkals at a saree shop! ahaha.. then we wenta tekka market, where they have the best tea and kopi! sat with aunts and uncle and bro and talked and laughed.. yup.. it was damn fun.. Sivaji uncle was damn funny man.. haha.. well, had to leave since i was gonna meet Gaya and Shalu.. so we left. Met the girls at Mrt station.. and we met Renu at dhoby ghaut.. it was great seeing her. as a handy-dandy person, i immediately whipped out my camera and started snapping away! :)

It was bloody crowded in town. Thaipusam part2. I hate crowds.. didnt have much choice.. yup.. and Gaya the clown checked if we had our handphones with us, so in event if we got lost, we can call each other up. Definitely Thaipusam man.. haha.. since we hadnt gotten Shalu's gifts, the plan was to pay for whatever she wanted.. hahaha. of course Shalu being a looney, she wanted some furry coat or whatever that cost 3oo dollars. haha.. nonsense.. eventually she liked this pink adidas cap.. it was nice.. so Gaya and i paid for it.. and then she wanted some chain thingy lah.. yupp.. she's a certified "Pinky"..

Aanesh joined us after that.. surprise surprise.. haha.. i had seen him like when i was in sec3? that was long ago.. yupp.. dinner at Billy Bombers.. nice place lah.. not bad... talked cock and laughed.. Gaya's rendition of "Rara" was bloody funny..

had to go home.. blahhh.. whats new man.. dad called when i was having dinner. Thanks dad for ruining my day.

By da way, my brother is a certified "Imsei".. for dunno how long he has been pestering me to play that song from 'parthiban kanavu'. tsk tsk..

So that was how my saturday was spent.

You used to be sucha great friend to me back in our lower secondary school days. And then we sorta drifted apart. And i guess we didnt really notice it. But you are the kind of friend who i could always talk to. Rmbr the time we met up for lunch earlier this year? Yup, we were gonna be meeting up after quite some time. And the thought crossed my mind, "what if we dont have much to talk about?"
So we met up. And we talked and talked. We talked about lotsa stuff. Ur jc life, my poly life, our families, our friends and much much more. It was just so easy to talk to you though we havent been in touch exactly.
Renu, you have always been a great friend to me. And i truly appreciate that you are still a part of my life. =)

Glad you like the gift! Shalu! Thanks for coming along with me to get it! Man, i had a hard time tellin mum that it was actually your bday gift! Haha.. And mum really thought it was a hairdryer!
Well, since its mum's bday, we should have let mum rest and done all the work ourselves. But, being the bad child that i am, well not that bad, just a little lazy, ya so here i am tappin away instead of helpin mum.

So we're going to the temple in the evening. And then to my darlings' house. Ohh, its Subash and Suthev's house lah. Yup.. Brother is still sleeping.. Gundu.. Ya, bro came up with a new name for my laptop. I preferred to call it LT. Short and simple. But bro told Sens that i got a new "Lapadappa"! Its Tamil by da way.. "dappa" is actually box in tamil. So its like some box thingy lah. Haha.. Brother is sucha clown. Ya.. Dumb as it sounds, i was chattin with him over on msn last night. He was in da hall and i was in my room. Haha.. No wonder Sens was surprised to see us both online..

So there.. a little slacking.. major slacking? tskkkk... Sajeetha! U bluffed me! ur mum isnt free tmr morning!! So am i still supposed to come over? Pandi! I shall call u later! How's ur diet coming along?! Haha..

We talk about death

There are two life changing events in a life; one is birth. the other is death. while one calls for a celebration, the latter calls for mourning. death is part of life and living. because if someone is brought into the world, its time for someone else to leave.

we can never get used to death. however much you have seen it all your life and heard about it, when it occurs, it just shakes you up. especially if its someone close to you. and the older you get, u realise the more deaths you see. people you have grown up with, people you've known all your life, the person you talked to yesterday, the lady you met at a party last week or even someone you said hi to at someone else's funeral.

and when someone dies, it leaves an indelible void in your heart. people say time heals. it does. time heals but it doesnt allow you to forget what has happened or to fill up the hollowness thats been left inside of you. we think we would never heal, that nothing can make things alright, that death is never justified. we are not born to die. we are born to live. and we did. whether its for a short number of years, or many many years, we lived.

i remember visiting the cemetery just a month and a half back. dad and i were at the children's site. though we make a mental note to remain strong and never let loose our emotions, we fail to. because when u read all those tombstones carvings, its heartbreaking. there were children, or should i say infants, who died during birth or who had died 2 days after they were born. i recall this particular tombstone of an infant who died a few days after she was born. her tombstone had her name carved on it. and if you go before deepavali, you'll see people going there with offerings for the deceased and stuff like that. another thing i recollect; there was an offering of cakes, milk, sweets and a spiderman t-shirt. it was just heartwrenching. it makes u wonder why must these young kids die? can death ever be justified? it makes u wonder, it really does. every visit, every prayer, every birthday of the parted, just reminds me of someone i've missed, someone's who gone. sometimes i go to a place, still expecting to see them. because for a long time, i couldnt accept that the person was gone. the place just reminds me of them. and everytime i'm there, those memories are awaken.

we all have to leave one day. for the moment that we live, we neglect certain people in our lives. we say we are busy. true enough, we are sometimes. but even then, we should make time for them. a call, a sms, a meet up, a letter. whatever it is, something to remind you to be thankful that the person is still around. you may never know what tomorrow brings.

some like to prepare for their death while some just wants it to be over quickly.
let's laugh, live and love. for tomorrow may not be.


i miss you, you and also you..

Saturday was a blast! Met up with Raj bro, Aruna sis, Sajeetha, Deepa and Sens and we were riding all over singapore in bro's car! Damn bloody fun man! With the windows wound down and music blasting! Hell fun man..

We stopped by at Kala Mandhir.. which was at Excelsior Hotel.. is thats da correct spelling.. haha.. and then proceeded on to Marina, where Deeps and i rode Harleys! haha. fake ones of course.. we were playin at the arcade.. i won everyone at daytona!!! as Sens said "the competition was only btw him and me!" ohh, he was unhappy cause i caused his car to crash! haha.. for fun lah!

then we went to bowl, after complaining abt the shoes and service there! ya, it was Deeps, Sens & Raj bro against Aruna sis, Sajeetha and Me! and we LOST!! ahaha.. the lane was rigged.. at least i thought so! wun u feel like that if most of the balls went to the drain?! haha.. congrats to Sens for being the playa with the highest score!

Had dinner at Marina south.. another pure fun moment.. after a while, i got tired of cooking my own food! haha.. so Raj bro and Sens were doing all the cooking.. and Deeps was saving place in her tummy for ice cream! that was toppped off with a frenzy photo taking session! as usual! and after that, off to clarke quay to meet my brother!!

so we drove.. we just wanted to drive around the whole evening.. cause we had so much of fun in da car! great music, great company and Raj bro driving like a formula 1 race driver! haha.. yup.. so my brother met us at Brewerkz.. another interesting place where they actually brew their beer for u. kinda cool lah.. had new york cheesecake there! my fav! and much as we didnt want the day to end, (it was only 10:30pm) Deepa's and my dad called us at the same time to remind us abt the time! haha.. they were together too.. see! if brother-in-laws could hang out till late at night, why cant cousins do the same?! hahaha.. anyway we drove back to send the Lakeside Siztas home! haha.. omg! we drove past little india and blasted tamil songs and brother was like whistling and sticking his head outta the top of the car! it was bloody crazy man.. sajeetha didnt know where to hide her face! hahaha.. But, a little recklessness and a little let-loose-moment never hurts anybody right?! so we drove.. and drove and drove till we reached Lakeside.. that was like around 11:30? and then we took pictures and stayed there till i forgot-wats-da-time! and so Raj bro sent Sens, my bro and i home..

so that was our day.. im glad Aruna sis came along.. she's really a nice person, tellin us funny stories abt Raj bro! haha.. and im glad everyone else came along.. even brother.. though he met us late.. with him around, u're definite to laugh ur head off.. its just great.. overall, Renga's Clan rocks! So when are we gonna do it again?!

Isnt this world such that it only misses a person when the person is long gone? Dun say no. Isnt that the truth? That one can never know the value of someone till they lose them? Why does it take that long to realise that? Was it because everyone around you was taken for granted? When it comes to a point where you think you are losing the people around you, stop and think what went wrong. Was it because of you or was it because of them? And some people oughta know that the world doesnt owe them a living. Hundreds of people die daily. Does all it take is death to know a worth of a person? Why cant we just appreciate them when they are around?

The much awaited thursday is finally here, and the much more awaited friday is a few hours away. if there's one thing to look forward to, its definitely fridays and the weekends.

Had a chat with Gaya last night. Thanks for listening to my complaints! And also Min and Vanisha. Man, some people can really be *******. God knows why.

Sw was damn interesting today. We talked about AIDS. Ms.Prema was tellin us facts and stuffs. Kai was the subject expert. He seemed to know everything! Khorkiee came in and she immediately went "why are we talking abt this?" -puzzled look. Ha ha!

che che.. been searching for a damn blogskin for the past hour or so. and found nothing to my liking. did i mention i'm picky? but still, i couldnt find any that seemed nice to me. is it that hard to find something to impress me? hard-to-impress.

anyway, last weekend was a blast.
went for the PSL bbq at ECP on friday. Met up with Eddy and Cynthia in amk. As usual, Cynthia was late. Wat else?! haha.. got kinda late, so i suggested takin a cab to ecp. had a good chat with the both of them. Eddy's lookin like a bag of bones. Another Ranjan man! Speakin of Ranjan, he came down too, with Gayathri!! :)
I wonder if i'll ever get sick of seeing that girl's face! we just met on wednesday for dinner with Shalini. nevertheless, its always great to catch up with her!
and so, lizhu came down with ig and wilson. zhisheng was there with jianlin. and zixin with the sec4s and a few other juniors whom i cldnt recognise, but they remembered me i guess! haha! it was great to see lizhu too. caught up with our lives. a pity nett cldnt make it.
maryann came towards the end of the bbq. anyway we were playin volleyball, frisbee and catchin with ig n wil who were throwin water bombs at us!

it was really good. was laughin so hard at the silly stuff they were doing. really. gayathri even thought i was drunk. and ranjan! thanks for all the ideas you were giving me to stay there longer! haha. in the end we still left together yea? walked in the rain, flagging for cabs. cabbed back with cynthia. reached hm at 11:45 while that ass gaya and ranjan "lepak" at clarke quay!! idiots!

Dinner at Muthu's was great. was made to wait for gaya and shalu. walked to muthu's with all our dumb jokes. not to mention, lame! shalini ah, haha.. nv fails to make me laugh. well, had a wonderful dinner. and for once, i finished my food! i repeat; i FINISHED my food!! while Gayathri Nair cldnt finish. -gasp
Unbelievable right?! once in a lifetime man! haha.. after eating like gluttons, we went to town! as aanesh said "eating saambar and spitting out fish and chips"! i think he said something like that! haha..
window-shopped. hey pandi! if u're reading this, get ready to go shoppin soon k! haha! lets meet up to buy shalu's gift. rmrb, its 2-in-1! xmas + bday gift! hahaha!



okay.. wednesday and friday covered. what abt saturday?
ahhh! i went to cck to meet suguna aunt, subash, suthev and satheeshh! we went to watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! but since we had time, we shopped around first! yupp.. then before entering the theatre, aunty bought so much of popcorn! those little boys sure cld eat! yup.. was sitting in between suthev and satheeshh.. aunty actually fell asleep during the movie! haha.. it was good, but wasnt up to the expectation. oh well, as Gaya said "u want to sit and watch 10 hour movie izzit?!" haha..
so after the movie, we went to meet Sivaji uncle and had lunch.. went back to their place.. uncle and aunt went out so it was me with the 3 cuties.. they forced me to play paper basketball, paper soccer and carrom. now if u dunno what is paper soccer, u must have had a deprived childhood! that was something which i used to play with my brother and Sens when i was much younger. so well, since i was forced to play, i made the best outta it. paired up with suthev and played paper bb. i honestly wished i had jinghui with me! my shooting skills suck!!! so i think we lost by the way, and of course i cheated a bit lah! haha. then it was carrom. won a game. subash is so good!!!! oh, we were disturbing satheeshh! everytime it was his turn, we would shout out to him and he wld complain that i was distracting him! haha.. and lastly, whew, it was paper soccer! satheeshh and me against the twins. not fair! he didnt let me play goalie! so i was attacking lah. not bad, scored a few goals, and happily kicked subash! opps! and sustained injury when subash and i clashed while trying to header the paper ball!

Overall, it was pure fun! :) they sent me to the mrt station and after that, kept calling like once every 15 minutes to check if i was home! haha.. sweet arent they?! potential boyfriends!

And finally, Sunday! Grandma's prayers! Sajeetha, Deepa, Arasi aunt, Susi aunt, Raj brother with his girlfriend, Sens and Kamala aunt came. Jurong aunt came in the evening.
So mini-cousins-gathering! ohh!! Uma sis came over too! with anthony and raquel! caught up with everyone. raj bro was being a meanie by not sharing the tub of ice cream with us! i stole some anyway! hahaha.. yupp.. in the evening, bro, Sens, Sajee, Deepa and i went down to the playground where we played hopscotch! It was Sens' idea! haha. I WON!! hahaha.. and after that, brother was singing.. our usual routine.. well, i'll be seeing them on saturday, for our Renga's Cousins meeting.. great..

So there. a well-spent weekend. ended it by watching "Kallai Kandaal Naaye Kaanum". Not its actually "Kal Ho Na Ho"! but the former is the nickname that my bro gave that movie! haha.. anyway, that's abt it!
its been long since i blogged so much! so that'll be enough for now!
