FALL AND CONCERTS

Fall is gorgeous here, and I kept trying to take shots to capture all the beauty to send to Mom in Paradise Hawaii (w/o Fall).  Mostly, it just led to dangerous driving.  Speaking of dangerous driving, the 3 younger girls and I had a great adventure as Brian's tire spun completely OFF (!!!) on our drive to Logan for a fun outing (after getting jobs done), and we waited on the side of the road for Roadside Assistance to come.  Though it kind of ruined our plans, you can't help but love what a beautiful place we live!!, AND the amazing people that kept stopping and stopping and stopping, --all offering to change the tire in no time, and sincerely wanting to make sure we were okay.  Also enjoyed Brent choir concert, and Anne had her first solo recital at a local Nursing Home.

BIRTHDAY VISIT KATIE!

Katie beautifully planned a Utah trip landing right on my birthday! There is something SO strengthening about being with someone who understands your heart!! We worked long hours discussing how to save the world (of course, one family and one child and one day at a time), ate delicious foods, and had a great hike up to Windy Caves (in Cache Valley)  before she spread her goodness to others :). What a birthday treat!!

General Conference

Just when I think I cannot love General Conference anymore, this year brought some gathering that made things all the more precious!! First we had tickets to the Women's Session, so it got Maddie and her roommate up to join us in SL:

And then, great friends from GA flew out to be here this weekend, and a few of us Ensign Women got together for Red Iguana dinner Friday night! What a blast to feel those ties after 10 years since living there!!
Marci Girardin, Breanna McClellin, Karyn Farley, Deisha Shamblin, Char
And it just flies by too fast, feasting on so many uplifting messages on JOY and God's great LOVE for us!!

Swimming,Schooling, Soccer

So, this is how sad "First Day of School" pictures were this year! I had Maddie send me a selfie after we dropped her off at college: (She's loving her afternoon classes, including one w/ my Uncle Larry as professor, has a custodial job at the Marriott Center/stadium, taking Islam and Judaism classes among other normal freshman generals, gets along great with roommate Emma, and is so happy busy, we barely hear from her!!).  We also got a shot of her crazy moving crew a week before classes:

Brent I actually grabbed a shot the 2nd day, since he leaves earlier than my brain apparently gets going!

Emily I remembered in time, and the little girls too, but I think that's because they reminded me:

And Spencer, I just took one today.  It's not even a school day.  Let alone the first, but he's still cute:
And Jane and I are making the most of missing everyone:
Meanwhile, swimming moments like these from the end of summer:

...Have been replaced with SOCCER moments like this:
It's been a fun year, having all 3 kids (Lucy, Anne, Spencer) regularly score goals at their games!
