Kids Photo shoot

Look at these munchy faces! Georgia friend Pam Jones (now a professional photographer!) took this shot for us when Spencer was a baby, and I've copied her methods (sheet over the couch in front of a well-lit door/window)to keep an updated picture at least in my wallet.  There's barely a sheet (or couch back) now big enough to be a backdrop for everyone, but there's still something about having so much goodness squished to look at that makes my heart SO grateful to be a Mom.

At least Anne & Lucy had the excuse of being too young to smile on demand! Jane was not in the mood for this kind of fun, but we're just not all dressed up at the same time too often, so we let her have the serious look.  I feel like they grow faster than I can keep these posted! The rest is just the many attempts for a not-perfect, but well-loved moment :).

In Between Packing

So I generally feel guilty for any minute we're not packing, but every reprieve is so welcome, and who wants to see pictures of packing??
Thank goodness for good neighbors (Whitman's) having us over Friday night to celebrate Pioneer Day!

We've taken many trips to the library, and this shot was while Brian & I were at a City Luncheon for the Miss Syracuse pagaent!--Quite a new experience!!
Emily made rainbow cupcakes (a pinterest idea she's been meaning to do for ages, and nothing like moving to make you clean out your candy) (Rainbows remind us of Hawaii Grandma!!)

I also thought of (Seamstress) Mom while I finished my mending so that I wouldn't have to pack it!
We had a GREAT visit w/ cousin Emily & David & family as they traveled home from their reunion! So fun to enjoy that visiting time and sweet children!!

And we went 3 times to our new favorite playground this week.  After finding it one afternoon, we went back @ 9 AM to avoid crowds (and so I could ride the zipline & play!), and again Saturday night w/ a pizza picnic after we'd dismantled all the beds & packed & packed!
