Church was so great today

We all went to church late with wet hair. The girls' hair was combed, but not by me, and with no adornment. Edith looked like a lion, Norah looked like a depression era little boy. (her hair is really straight and flat with her bangs split right down the middle.) We don't normally bring snacks for the kids. Except today-Edith and Jane both brought little baggies of cereal and crackers (unbeknownst to us), then we sat down and they just start munching away, and then we realized it was fast Sunday. So if you missed us today we were the super ugly tacky family eating snacks on fast sunday.
Well with out further ado, let me update for the second week in a row- our weblog.

Monday: picked up Konden, hasty dinner, FHE we played hide and seek. It was fun. I was the best hider.

Tuesday:

Never mind, I can't think of anything like that. I don't have my planner by me, so even if we did do something amazing, I don;t remember.

Edie has a loose tooth. This kind of took us by surprise. Eliza just lost her first tooth, and Edie's tooth is really loose, too. She was just telling me how it was wiggly, so I felt it just to humor her, and it is indeed quite loose. She's only four. That seems mighty young to me, but she was our earliest teether too, so she's pretty proud of it now, playing off our reactions-" I can't believe I'm only four and I already have a loose tooth" (she didn't come up with that line on her own.)

Konden hit a homerun at soft ball. This means that he hit the ball over the fence, not that he just ran an homerun, which is what I thought when he first told me. And with my athletic ability, just running over homeplate was impressive enough.

Jane failed her vision screen at school. Hmmm...

Eliza has been doing her own hair for school. Which is nice. (especially because I often have to chase the other one down the street with a brush)

Aster has no interest in using the toilet.

Norah poops five times a day, does not believe in weaning, is phasing out her morning nap, but is still so dang cute, I let all of that slide. This morning when I came out of the shower, Norah had on a really old size 3T dress that looked like a blue and white burlap sack (which really added to the depression era look) Konden admitted that when he put the dress on he'd realized it was a mistake, so he didn;t butoon it all the way.

I've had a bad stomach ache all week, so I actually went to the Dr. He gave me Zantac and said it's either my stomach or my gall bladder. Happily the zantac worked which means its not my gallbladder. So that's good. And I guess kind of an indication that I'm getting older. Lame. And so uncool. The 30's are when you get stuff like ulcers, hemerhoids, indigestion, and rides aren't nearly as fun. ANyways I'd better post some pictures.

This is what I came home to one fine morning- there was a bad leak in the pipes- what better time to redo everything? And this is how Konden's hair looks in the morning. I love it. Mine is worse, though, I'd rather be fluffy than thin and flat.

Norah enjoyed her dinner so much that she licked her plate clean (Norah's too young to know that everything I make is yucky.) What a lovely child.

Edie's first day of preschool. August 12.

Norah's birthday party. The cake was a good idea, but as you can see, the execution left a little to be desired. On this night Norah walked into the pool once and Aster jumped into the pool twice (without an adult). We drove home a little shakey.

Jane finally learned to swim.We had hail a couple weeks ago. It was amazing for the girls.

I failed to mention Kish's twins! Ava and Lydia. Just about 5 pounds a piece when they were born. Cute little peanuts. (Sorry- I don't know what's going on with the font why it's blue, underlined, big, bold)

Eliza lost her first tooth. SHe pulled it out herself with a tissue.

At Lala Glendooza. Yes they actually call it that. It was a farm activity at the park. The had games and crafts and cows and milk and a cornfield.

The end.

Eliza sings in church

Well, back at the blog. Mary and the girls had their primary program today. It was so so awesome. Norah just grabbed a cup of the table and drank it, but it didn't quite work like a sippy cup, since it was a normal cup. So, she got milk all over herself and the floor, which kinda surprised her. Anyway, the program was so so awesome. Eliza sang a duet with this other little girl. She did really good. This picture is in honor of her great feat accomplished.

o

It is nice to have to reservoir of drawings that i can just attach to express the sentiments of my blog narrative. Anyway, i had my compressive exams this and last week. And, i should be done this week! So, the celebration will be exuberant and blanderblotin.

Hmm, let me see if there is another picture drawn by Jane that i can attach here:
This is Aster at a juggling show. She got to be the star for a few minutes.
Ok, adios primeros
