Saturday surprise....

It's SaTuRdAy morning at 7:00 am.
the kids are sound asleep in bed & I crawl in their bed (brendon & kiersten) and stir them around. it's still kinda dark in there & brendon is confused! (he wakes up first --sort of)
B: what are you doing here?
Me: waking you guys up!!
B: why?
Me: so we can go to the snow and play!
B: why?
I laugh and Kiersten stirs around and says... really?? Why didn't you tell me last night???
Because we wanted to surprise you..
B: I don't want to go to Payson....
Me: You don't want to go to the snow?
B: Well, I'll go but just stay in the car!

It was a VERY STRANGE CONVERSATION!! :0)

When we finally got there (Kiersten asked if we were there after only 10 minutes in the car... ) we got out and they all said... IT'S COLD!!

and I told them.... DUH!! it's SNOW!! (but they don't know what snow is...so I don't blame them!)

We used the timer on the camera and when I ran to jump in.. Raegan turned around cz she wanted me to hold her!

IDIOT!!! she messed up our one & only family photo!

What's a dollar worth?

Well, it's worth MORE once it's been doubled!! (even if it means pictures are going to be taken & you have to embarrass yourself!)

Brendon sat in something wet the other night at grandma's house but he didn't feel like changing it. I said I'm sure she has something in there that belongs to you, that you can wear. Guess he didn't care too much about it cause he wasn't interested in changing.

UNTIL.....

I ventured a bet with him. I told him I'd pay him a dollar if he wore Raegan's (size 2T) shirt.

He thought about it, but when my sister jumped in and said she'd give a dollar too.... he became VeRy InTeReStEd!

Unfortunately for him it escalated because the money was only good if he wore it for 10 minutes!

At first he was shy about it! (notice the wet pants...)

Then he realized we all were gonna laugh anyway & it was no big deal...

AND.. it WAS kind of funny!!!

Then he turned into a pure HAM! Enjoying the attention & my picture taking!

He proudly wore that thing for 10 minutes (w/ sore arm pits from it being so tight!!) and earned his 2 bucks.

I LOVE torturing my kids & using them for my entertainment!

Why I love Christmas

1.) It means that I get a REAL Christmas tree that has a super duper smell! I don't think I will ever have a fake tree. Sure it means that I don't get it put up before thanksgiving--but it doesn't really bother me too much!

2.)It means that I can finally hang my stockings that I've spent a couple years trying to complete!!

I originally found just 2 letters, then was supposed to MAKE more since I couldn't complete the set. That never happened, but the next year I found another letter. AND last year... I DID IT!
(and the extra at the end is Leuscher's! )

3.) Christmas time also means COOLER weather (usually) and cooler weather means I get to make chocolate covered pretzels! (summer time melts it too fast...won't even harden)

These things are to DIE FOR! There is something about the way the chocolate (I only buy Wiltons) and the pretzels go together. YoU can't ever have just 1 & anyone who's ever had these, knows what I'm talking about! :0)

4.) My all time favorite movie at Christmas time...

I've loved this movie since I can remember, and I'm sure I have the whole thing memorized and looking at these pictures of the movie just make me laugh thinking about it!

I'm sure there's more, but who needs to type a novel???!! These are just a few things I look forward too! (not to mention presents.. I love to get them and GIVE them!)

I disgust my mother (haha) but I think this picture is the mark of a hard worker (I'm referring to myself!)

I know I rarely post anymore, and it's not that I DON'T want to, but I'm just not in the hugest mood of wanting to do it!

My front room was like this for almost A MONTH! We didn't even go in there!! We have finally put the couches in the right spot and moved the piano in there. I forgot (yes I'm serious) ... I actually forgot what it was like to sit on a freakin' couch!!! It was nice & comforting to sit on ours again.

We finally started making TILE progress and we started finding hollow sounding ones (where it didn't set underneath) not to mention SOMEHOW we had chipped ones---sooooo disappointing!!

The only way to deal w/ that...is to break them up! :(

That was so frustrating for kevin (all his hard work)!! But it seemed like everyday we'd find more that needed to be RE-DONE! I couldn't believe we were going backwards instead of forward!

We've finally completed all that, and the grout & the laundry room is even complete!

** Although the only way to do the laundry room was to move the washer/dryer/freezer to my dining area! I haven't had a washer/dryer all week. **

We are in the process of putting up the base boards and the door frames. I'll try and post more pics sometime! (when it's clean)

AND HOW DOES ONE SURVIVE ALL OF THIS??????

Cavemen carving

Somehow, this year, we managed to NOT buy any pumpkins!! (such a shock after carving about a dozen last year!)
My friend next door had already carved a few & donated her extra one to us!!
It sat for about 2 days on our floor & it drove Brendon CRAZY! He wanted to tear in to that thing soooo bad!

I finally caved & said.. have fun, but you have to clean up the mess. I didn't know what they were going to do OR use (they couldn't use my sharp knives)!

BUT.... it didn't take them long to get creative!! They started out with sticks and just kept jabbing that thing to death. (sorry about the pics, I was taking them through the window while I was spying on them)

Then I suppose the large sticks weren't GOOD enough, so they moved on to the hammer!

It was hilarious to watch them so hard at work... determined to destroy that thing!

Who would have thought it was so resilient!

By now.. their secret was out & they were busted.. (hehe)

So I just took some pictures of them busting it out!

Raegan getting the hang of candy.. it was cute! The first people we took her to (she wouldn't say a word) until we walked away.. then she yelled BYE for an hour!

Isabel (my great niece) was a princess!

She couldn't decided if she wanted to walk, be held or ride in the wagon :)

All I could ever think about was how NASTY my hair has been (haven't had a cut/color since may) and now I got it done... and i'm thinking that it wasn't so bad (looking at this pic) kinda wish i didn't cut it! I'm not fond of the prego belly i'm sporting though... NASTY! time to get back to the gym!

Just RANDOM!

Raegan's obsessed with blowing her nose.. it's so funny! She just keeps saying 'nose' until you give her a kleenex & then when she's done she'll say 'eeeewwww'. But she does it over & over!

Mischievous & Daring

We'll start w/ the mischief part - -

Although I HIGHLY recommend lotion on babies (they smell so yummy) what I don't recommend is that they do it THEMSELVES!!!

OR.....ON MY CARPET!! I'm going to strangle this 'almost' 2 year old!!!! =)

Now we'll move on to the DARING part!! THIS GIRL MAKES ME NERVOUS!! She is such a booger and she even does this at the top of the tree house... ugh!
