July 4, 2011

We stayed home this 4th of July and baked in the heat! Thankfully we were able to run down to my moms and cool off in the pool for a while. We really didn't have any big plans this 4th, which was kind of nice. No rushing around. We did get to spend fireworks with the Goodman's and then ice cream with the Goodman's and Norton's after fireworks. It was a good 4th. I loved watching the boys faces during fireworks and loved their excitement of being with cousins. We are so thankful to live in this country, and that we were able to celebrate it with family.

Make-Shift Fathers & Sons

(Yes Crew appears to be picking his nose in this picture, classic)

This year, Dustin and the boys were not able to make it to Fathers & Sons like they had planned. The boys were dead set on sleeping in a tent regardless, so we set up a tent in the family room and let the fun begin. We had yummy fondue and a camp out at home. Dustin and I threw a mattress on the floor in the family room, and the boys slept in a little tent. Before going to bed, we all snuggled down and watched a movie. I am sad that the boys didn't get to make their trip, but honestly, it was a fun night for me with lots of little memories made. My boys are so easy to please, and were happy as could be getting to pitch a tent in the house and pretend they were in the mountains. They giggled and played in the tent forever. Thanks for going with the flow boys, and making fun out of anything!!!

T-Ball 2011

I was horrible during T-Ball season and did not get any pictures of Catcher in his uniform, or playing ball. In my defense, I was chasing Bronx 99% of the time! I did get pictures of his end of the season party. It was at Peter Piper Pizza, and was a hit with all the kids. Catcher played on the Lions and was coached by Coach Cotter. The Cotter's were actually in our Ward at the time, so it was fun to get to hang out with them and get to know them a little better. Catcher loved everything about the season, but his favorite part was making friends and getting to talk out on the field. Catcher is such a fun kid, and I think really plays sports just to please his Mom, but at least he is willing to always give it a try. This was his last season of T-Ball, now he moves on to Coach Pitch....lets hope the games get a little more exciting!!! You did great this year Catcher and I look forward to next season, and I promise to try and do better with the pictures!!!

Honors Award

At the end of the school year last year, Catcher received an award for being on the Honor Roll all year long. Crew and I got to go support him and cheer for him while he received the award.

He had no idea what the assembly was for, and was super surprised when he saw Crew and I walk in. They kept it as a surprise to the kids receiving the awards. This was his face when he realized we were there.

Here he is receiving his metal from his Principle.

Standing proud. He worked so hard all year long and deserved this award.

His face says it all. He was so pleased, and should be.

Here he is with Mrs. Cammy. She was the aide in his class and he loves her. She was so good to Catcher, and I think he made a life long friend in Mrs. Cammy.

This is Mrs. Wade, his Kindergarten teacher. She is outstanding. We loved her, and Catcher loved her. He learned so much from her. He talks about Mrs. Wade all the time and tells people that they better hope they get her for a teacher.

Catcher, we are so proud of how hard you work in school. You try your best everyday, and you are such a good good kid. We are so thankful for you. Way to go buddy!!!!

Easter 2011

We started our Easter off this year at our Neighbors house. She is amazing, and threw a neighborhood Easter egg decorating party. It was a great turn out and my boys enjoyed dying eggs and frosting Easter cookies. Thank you Rosemary!!!

While Catch and Crew frosted their cookies, Bronx enjoyed kicking back with Dad.
After the party, we headed home and finished packing to head to Payson. We wanted to spend Easter weekend in cooler weather and surrounded by mountains. We rented a hotel and off we went.

The Easter Bunny hid the boys baskets in the hotel closet. They had to hunt for them, and were so excited when they found them. Looks like that darn Easter Bunny spoiled the boys.

Carrot bats...Crew's favorite thing. He played and played with that bat and ball.

Flarp was Catcher's favorite thing. It makes noises that sound like....well, he is a boy, what sound do you think would make him giggle his little heart out.

Crew spent hours playing carrot ball. In the hotel room and out. There was an awesome yard outside our room and the boys loved to play in the grass.

Bronx was just happy....he is a happy little boy most of the time. He is such a crack up. He keeps us laughing all the time. Except for when I am just exhausted from trying to keep up with him.

We headed out to the mountains to hunt eggs. It was really windy, but was fun just the same. Here are the boys waiting for Dad to get back from hiding eggs for them.

B had fun playing in the back of the truck while Dad hid eggs.

My sweet boys brought me flowers they had picked while they were waiting to hunt eggs. They were so excited to bring them to me. Love their smiles!

Crew was in deep concentration as they set out to hunt eggs.

Gee thanks for hiding this one in a stickery bush Dad! Catch got it though.

The boys LOVED having Grandma there to help them find eggs. They pretty much think she needs to go everywhere with them.

I got to help little B find eggs. He was so cute. He stumbled and fell all over that hill, but never wanted to stop. He is just as big as his brothers in his mind. He loved every minute. So did I. I loved holding his chubby little hand.

I am not sure, but by looking at Crew's face in the picture, I think he had just found an egg before Catcher. His face looks a little braggy.

Dustin and his mini-me.

It was a great weekend. We love spending Easter in the mountains.

Bronx Turned One...How Did That Happen So Fast?!

(In the video you will learn that my boys are slightly obsessed with AFV)

Bronx turned one in March. I am not sure how that time flew by so fast. However, I do know without a doubt that Bronx did not come to this earth to stay little for long. When he was born, he weighed 8 lbs 1 oz. A full pound and ounce bigger than his two older brothers. From the day he was born, he has grown up fast. Bronx is such a fun, BUSY boy! He keeps us on our toes all day everyday. He started crawling at about 5 months, and was walking well by 10 1/2 months. By the time he hit a year, he was just about out running his brothers. Bronx now RUNS everywhere and CLIMBS everything! He has a smile that wins every heart, and two big dimples that grace each side of that smile. He has the funnest personality and loves to be the ham that makes his brothers giggle. Once his eyes open in the morning, he go...go...goes until nap time, and then go...go...goes until bed time. I wish I could bottle his energy. Bronx usually has some kind of bump or bruise on his head ALL the TIME. That is a result of the not stopping....EVER. He is one tough cookie, cause it never slows him down. On his birthday, Bronx was given the gift of double ear infections, so he spent most of the day in a diaper and fevering. Thank goodness for Motrin. It was still a good day because he is just such a sweet boy and made the best of it. I made him a basketball cake, because he loves anything sports already. I LOVE my baby boy with everything in me. He adds to our family in only ways that he could. We are thankful for his little spirit in our home.
