The Journey

Kerrington, Kellan and I got to be the Honey Makers this year at the Journey! It's so fun to go with these two and see them get dressed up. This year, Kerrington was so in to her role! She was the best and sweetest Honey girl around. I'm not sure how anyone could resist a taste of Honey from these two?!

Ready to hand out samples.

Would you like some Honey?

Thankful Tree

My sweet friend Laurie showed me this idea, and it's become a tradition for our family every November. We try, for the whole month, to add leaves of people/things we're thankful for as a reminder of how much God has blessed us with to our Tree. We place it somewhere we can see it daily and remember all God has poured out on us! It's so sweet to hear what the kids come up with and I pray it cultivates in them a thankful spirit and reminds us all to not take for granted our blessings!

Keaton's FIRST Haircut!

Our littlest man got a trim today! It wasn't much, but of course we had to document it!
My challenge for the day...holding a 1 year old still with scissors near his head!

Toe-head hair.

Don't move!

Pumpkin Patch/Halloween

The years of coordination for Halloween are over. Kellan finally found his voice, and he decided to not comply with his big sister. He wanted to be Superman by golly. So, because the littlest brother didn't have a say, we cordinated with him instead. This year we had Elsa (like 3 million other families in America), Superman and Olaf!

On the Sunday before Halloween, East Campus held their annual Pumpkin Patch. I'm especially thankful for it this year, because we were under the weather on Halloween so we cut our trip (and plans) short.

This is on Sunday:

Olaf CAR!!! Whattt?!

Pretty girl!

Training him.

And Halloween night:

Since we're moving over to my parent's neighborhood, we decided go trick-or-treating there!

Superman getting his loot.

About 5 houses in, I got to don the Elsa wig. Looks nice, huh?

Brothers...

CAKE! (made by Papaw)

and yummy cupcakes!

The spread

Smash cake time. He loved it. Of course. But lets be honest, this wasn't his first taste of cake.

What you're up to lately:

  • Wearing 12 month clothing...some 18 months.
  • Size 4 diapers
  • Keaton loves trying to feed himself, and with the third, this is welcome. It's a bit messier, but it helps. I'm noticing him becoming a little pickier on what he eats. He does love the packets of food. They have the fruits and especially veggies in them that he is now starting to avoid, so I feel better after he eats that!
  • Keaton is now down to just 1 nurse/day. It's our early morning, snuggle and fall back to sleep session. He took really well to the whole milk. We'll transition out of that morning nursing session soon.
  • Keaton is babbling some, but not saying anything that is associated with someone/something yet.
  • He's crawling (hands and feet) every where! He's a quick one too!
  • Keaton thinks he's as big as brother and sister. He tries to crawl/climb up on everything.
  • He's trying to keep up with big brother and sister. I bet he'll be walking any day now!
  • He has two teeth on top, three on the bottom.  He loves brushing them!
  • He's done with the pacifier. Just like brother, he was only using one to fall asleep at night, then he'd lose it. So, I figured we'd be done with it now and not have to worry about it later.
  • #365daysofkeaton has come to an end. It was really fun taking a picture of him every day of his first year of life.

Happy Anniversary!

Drew and I celebrated 7 years of marriage this year! September 7, 2007, we got married, and had no idea what we were doing. Right babe? I'm not sure if we've figured it out yet, but we sure are having fun trying. Life is full of ups and downs, twists and turns, happy and sad moments, but I'm sure glad to be going through it all with this guy:

We also celebrated our 5 year anniversary on staff at Savannah Christian Church. They are gracious enough to provide a weekend away for Drew and I, so we combined the two anniversaries and celebrated the weekend in Charleston!

It's a gorgeous city and it was our first get away sans 3 kids. It was great to be away, but we were anxious to get back to our babies!

Happy Anny Babe. I love you!
