Hike

A friend and I went on a hike today.  It took us 2 hours and we didn't stop much, so two hours of hiking, but I'm not sure how far we went.  It was some path walking and some off road type harder hiking.  We even crossed a creek.  I took a few photos.  It was nice to get off the couch and enjoy nature today.

Football pre season

On Wednesday, instead of regular practice, Bradley's team had what was called "passing league".  Two other schools came and they just played small sided, no linemen, no running backs, just offense against defense plays.  I think each team got 10 plays, then rotated, the offense became the defense, the defense rotated out, and the team waiting on the sideline came in as offense for 10 plays.

Bradley played receiver on offense and safety on defense.  He dropped a couple and caught a couple.  One guy who plays his same positions wasn't there and another one got hurt, so Bradley played a lot.  The coach is happy to have him on the team and said the team would have been better last year if Bradley would have come out then!
He's the one in the black shorts, black shirt, black socks in the middle ready for the play, he was on defense in this photo-

defense here, too, I was really far away, so no good pictures-

Scott took this one after I left-

two more good pictures

I am done blogging about our trip....but I did find two more pictures that I love on Melanee's memory card.  She has a lot more pictures, so hopefully she will blog about the trip, too!!!!

I didnt take many scenery pictures, but if you want to see more, she has more.  But mostly we took a lot of similar photos, so it would be redundant to post all of hers here, too.

St. George, Utah

After we left the Grand Canyon and drove 80 miles back on that dirt road, we were tired and we didn't want to start driving home just yet.  Plus, we still had Melanee and Miles and wanted to spend more time with them.  Scott has a cousin, who has a son, who's wife just moved to St George and she said she wouldnt mind a house full of visitors for a day.  We took her up on her offer.  We met her at a park.  The park was really cool.  It had hiking trails and walking trails.  There were benches and shaded places, too.

Bradley touching another cactus-

We went for a little walk and there was a creek-

And an aquarium thing under the creek where we could see some fish swimming-

I was above on one of the walkways, there is Scott down below on a different one.  (and there is the cord to my camera, it's in a lot of pictures, have you noticed?)

The cousin's son's wife brought us Del Taco and giant root beers.

Andrew went on a hike and did some rock climbing, while we relaxed.

He is the little tiny dot next to the billboard.

Then we went to the cousin's house for showers and air conditioning.  They had a weight room.

Then we went to Subway because the tacos werent enough for growing boys....

Then we went to the St George Temple.  We looked around at the Visitors Center.

Then we did a family picture in front of the temple.  A nice stranger took it for us....setting the camera on a trash can using the timer didnt give very good results!

It was a hot day, we went to McDonalds for ice cream cones.  (Lots of fast food that day!)

I pretty much have been blogging this trip using my photo, if other stuff happened and I didnt take a picture, it probably didnt make the blog recap.  I took over 500 photos, though, so you blog readers heard about most of our trip.  Hope you enjoyed it, we sure did!!!!

Breakfast and Goodbye

We got up Thursday morning, ate breakfast, packed, then we were back on the road.  I only got one photo of the whole morning at the ranch....Andrew and Miles eating.....This photo is cute, but it's also significant...buy the end of our two days in the Grand Canyon, Andrew was finally holding and even taking care of Miles....at first he wouldn't even pick him up at all-
We stopped back on the way out at the little school house and showed the English family the fun teeter totter.  It's nice to get a break and walk around in the middle of that 80 mile dirt road drive!
Good Bye Grand Canyon....we had a BLAST!

Last Evening There part4

Then we went to a camp fire where there was singing, guitar playing, fiddle playing, story telling, and some poetry recited.  A real rancher experience!

Here are Bradley and William setting up their sleeping cots on the upstairs deck.  They slept under the starts.  They thought it was awesome!  Lots of stars.  They weren't cold at all.
