Wondo MVP
Today it was announced that Chris Wondolowski won the Major League Soccer Most Valuable Player award. I'm really genuinely happy for the guy, but I'm actually kinda mad at him right now. Earlier in the season, I wrote him a letter, you know, fan mail. I didn't ask for anything in return, like an autograph or a picture or anything, just wrote a nice letter telling him that his story is inspiring to me, that I watched him play in Chico, told him about Melanee's success, about William, just stuff, about a page or so. He never wrote back. His secretary didn't write back. His public relations person didn't write back. Nothing! Which is fine, he was right in the middle of a title run, a goal scoring record, and an MVP award. He may get a lot of fan mail. (I wonder if Jonny Bornstein wrote back so fast because he gets little fan mail????) So, later in the season, on the suggestion of one of my Twitter friends, I wrote to him again. I, this time, included a self addresses stamped envelope and a picture of him for him to sign. NOTHING! He still hasn't responded. Maybe it will be like when Dany Heatley got traded and then sent me an autographed photo??? I hope not. I like to say that Wondo is a good guy. He goes and speaks out for Indian Youth Fitness. He is humble in interviews. He seems sincere, I just want him to prove that he values his fans as much as he claims he does and WRITE BACK TO ME! Or it's time to get a new favorite player....Shea Salinas Twittered me, maybe it will be him!!!
Artist at his Desk
Andrew is still enjoying his clean room and his "desk". We put a lamp on it and he's been in there drawing all afternoon. Why didn't we think of this years ago? Maybe we can convince him that it's a good place for homework to be done, too!?!!
A Storm Starting
Good luck Butte County friends, hope we all survive....I think we will, but wish me luck, we'll probably have to have an indoor lunch recess tomorrow and those are the WORST!

Hunting
Scott went out hunting today. He got drawn out of a lottery for entrance at Gray Lodge Wildlife Refuge. It was a good day for hunting because it was stormy weather. He got four birds. One was his first goose of the year.
clean room
Andrew and I reorganized and cleaned his room today, why didn't we do it sooner???? He played in there all afternoon. And when Bradley walked in there (they share the room), the first thing he said was "the floor feels so good", haha, what he meant was "I'm not stepping on legos, hot wheels, and blocks." So true, so true! Would share a photo, but even clean, it is unpresentable in a forum like this...haha! I had also forgotten that one of the walls is pink from when Melanee had that room, guess it's time to change that (she's been gone over 4 years now!!!!)
backwards
Pretty cool shorts, but, no those fancy stripes do not decorate the backs of legs, they go on the FRONT! haha! He figured it out when he stuck his hands in his pockets.

Finally updated wall pictures
hey, Krisha, remember how there were two pictures of Andrew and none of William???? I finally replaced one of Andrew with one of William! Is this better???
Creeper Hands
I think this is my favorite picture.....or my least favorite....I havent decided yet, but it has the "traditional" Creeper Hands (or in this case, fingers)....if youlook closely you will see them......look at Bradley's hands!!!!!!
Cub Scouts
Today was a pack meeting. Andrew's scout shirt was in the Jeep, which was at the shop, since Scott picked up his truck today and couldnt drive two cars home, so that's why Andrew is not properly attired! Anyway, Andrew earned his Forester achievement award and is VERY, VERY close to getting his Weblo and Arrow of Light awards! (cell phone picture)

Andrew's Scrapbook
My Day
This is me, trying to blog more.
| Table Mountain and fall trees in the background |
Most all day today I worked on a scrapbook for Andrew's flag football season. I might take pictures of it tomorrow and share it here. Later in the day we went to Oroville for a wedding reception/open house for a missionary we used to like who married a Hmong girl from Oroville. It was nice seeing him and his new beautiful bride. It was a traditional Hmong celebration with TONS of food. There was also the "Mens" table, for the elders of the family and the honored guests. That means that Scott sat in the house, while Bradley and I were left in the backyard. (Andrew didn't want to come, smmmmart one!). It was fairly uncomfortable outside because we were the only "white" people, the others were mostly speaking Hmong, it was cold, the food was good but some choices included a huge tub of chicken heads. I would have taken a photo if I didn't think that would be a RUDE thing to do. We loved the white rice and the egg rolls, everything else looked weird or was TOO spicy. After a short while, Bradley and I went back to the car. We texted Scott (still indoors) "We leave. We at car". But he didn't come out for at least another hour. We were cold. We didn't have any car keys and the car was locked. We were also a little scared because we were in Oroville...in a sorta not nice part of Oroville. We didn't want to go for a walk or look anyone in the eye. The cars in the parking lot were ALL Toyotas (and a Honda), except ours and the one next to it, which was Elder Carter's parents. We found that we could stay warm, but standing near the hood of the Carter's car. haha. We figured they must have just arrived from Utah.

Then I had to go do my last day of dog feeding/playing with this dog. I dont really like dogs (I dont like dogs, let's be honest), but this dog, Reggie, is just fun/lovable. He has huge eyes and when I look into them, I wonder what he must be thinking.

Need Sleep
Started Andrew's flag football scrapbook today, got as far as organizing all of my scrapbook paper and finding all my tools and getting everything set out. I didn't get even one page of the scrapbook done or even started. I still have to decide if I am going to make an 8 x 8 or 12 x 12, I have enough pictures for the 12 x 12, for sure, but they are all pretty much the same thing and they all seem to be pretty small or taken from too far away, so I think the book might be more interesting as an 8 x 8. We'll see! I printed all the photos out on Monday and haven't even gotten started and this Thanksgiving vacation is just about over.
NOW, the real reason I am up so late....I think my computer had a bad virus but instead of waiting for a computer expert to fix it, I took matters into my own hands, and guess what, I think I broke the whole thing...well, actually, the Internet works, so that's good, but I can not access any of my Word documents, which is bad because really, computers are for school work and writing papers, I NEED the Word Processor. NEED! I even tried to uninstall it, oops, when I went to reinstall it (It came loaded onto the computer when we bought it) I found out that it cost $169.00, and I didn't want to pay that so I did a system restore to get back what I uninstalled. Now I am running another scan (the one I did earlier took 3 hours), then I am going TO BED.
Let's hope a computer genius can figure out what is going on!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving
We had Thanksgiving dinner (and dessert!!!) at our friends house this year. It was casual and fun. They have a nice house, kitchen, setting for get togethers, so it was nice to go over there and visit with them. We had a lot of good food and fun. I brought the mashed potatoes and some appetizers, which were easy to make since Scott peeled most of the potatoes. We ate all of the sausage, cheese, biscuits before we even went to our friends house, so we didn't have as many appetizers as I had planned, but it all worked out fine since we arrived right at dinner time and didn't have a lot of time to eat appetizers anyway. Jeni is a good cook and she baked a half of a turkey and it was smoked and soaked in brine and very flavorful. She also made home made rolls, home made tamales, a soup, and a huge vegetable salad. We had plenty of food. For dessert Jeni made a pumpkin pie out of a pumpkin that Scott had grown, an apple pie, and a fruity pear pie.

Run For Food
Attempt at Family Pictures (emphasis on "attempt")
We used the timer on the camera, and set the camera on a boat motor and took a few pictures....always fun times for the Guymon family....(not!)----
Since our family has seemed to have gotten smaller this year, we let Sam, the dog, get into the picture.
Sore
Bradley's legs hurt after the run and I want him to be healed for basketball so I offered to put Icy Hot on his legs, hahahahahaaaaa, he kept yelling, "IT'S BURNING" but I think his legs feel better, too bad our entire house smells like an old folks home now!
