Chinese, Japanese, Korean

Are you one of those non-Asians who believe that all Asians look the same? or are you one of those who hold on vehemently to the belief that "What?Asians DON'T look the same...all caucasians look the same"?
check this out.

i agree that we all have prejudices and there is absolutely nothing wrong about having prejudices, as long as you still have the basic respect to any diametrically different thing/culture/people, and not despise and look down on others.
speaking of that...why do we refrain from using the word "Black" to describe our african american friends while we have no qualm about using "white" to describe their counterpart? why must we think that "black" has a derogatory tone in it?
can we just for once put down the burden of the past and start afresh as a civilisation to face today through a pair of fresh eyes and a deshrouded heart? i really don't like to see people being overly sensitive and anal even though they have good intention of not offending the others. maybe i have never lived on the prudent side. MA YOYO ALWAYS LIVES ON THE EDGE
take risks. face dangers. snatch opportunities. confront challenges. surmount fears.
have a leap of faith.
and keeping hope that things will work out fine in the end
to me, that is life.
a lesson that i have learnt here is that all you did or could do in the past matter less than what you do and what can do now. c'mon, who really cares how many As you have gotten in your life; who really cares how many "achievements" you have done. your colorful resume might get you a job easily, but to keep the job and to fly high, you gotta prove what you can do now. the only person you should be accountable to, needs only be, and must be yourself.
but dont play dota all day and screw up your life :)
i know some of my friends want 2007 to pass real quick. some want it to be slow and eventful and cherishable. whatever it is, it will come true.
for me, i cant wait to adventure more on my college life.
i am ready.
d.r.lew's verdict: 2007 would be a good year.

yes, a very good year indeed.

nyc
underneath the veneer of grandeur and glamor lies a tinge of sadness. and playing in my mind surreally everytime when i stepped into the subway train at night is the song "纽约的司机驾着北京的梦" by jackie cheung. there seemed to be a subtle yet irrevocable touch of blue in my lens as i viewed new york.
new york city to me is not a red apple: it's a blue strawberry.
or perhaps i have put on the wrong lens
The 2007 Countdown at NYC Times Square is rather overrated. the experience itself is not worth persevering through coldness and hunger and toilet need for 5 hours. but then, having good conversation with 3 lovely ladies in the stifling crowd and the testing weather warrants every minute of the wait.
to the 3 of you: i had a great great time with you guys, thanks. i wont forget all the jokes and interesting convo that we had. all the best and persevere in whatever you do. as someone put it beautifully: if it's not fine, it's not the end yet.
happy 2007
