2008 Air Show

This is the third time that we have taken Drew to the air show and yes he is only 3 1/2. Kelli went out of town to help out her mom with a craft show so Grandpa Karl, Drew and I went down to Nelli AFB, Las Vegas to the show.

Drew being a monkey is truly not a costume. He is my little monkey and I have been calling him that since he was born.

I Think This Is A BIG DEAL!!!

So there I was, taking a shower when someone in my house flushed the toilet. Well, I happen to have one of those homes that was built before someone learned to put the temp control valve between the shower and the main line in the house. 

Well anyway, as I was saying, I was taking a shower when it got suddenly hot. I was getting out anyway so  really it didn't matter. I could hear Drew washing is hands in his bathroom so I yelled out to him "Drew, what you doing?" 

" Washing my hands." Drew says back.

 "Why?" I yell back to him as I am trying to get dry enough I can, without getting water all over the place, go and check on him. 

"Because I go poop and potty and mom said if I go poop and potty I need to wash my hands." Drew says very very proudly.

 I walk into Drew's bathroom to see him washing his hands. "Why didn't you call me to come wipe your bum?" 

Drew replies without even looking up from washing his hands, "You were in the shower and so I wiped my own bum and mom said when you wipe your bum you need to wash your hands. 

"You wiped your own bum?" I said to him, not really believing. I mean, well, he is almost going to be 4 and he can and does do a lot on his own and he is in school now and should be able to do this for himself, so sure why can't he wipe is own bum. 

"Yes dad, I did. You were in the shower and I didn't want to bother you so I did it myself."

To most this really wouldn't be anything to talk about, but to a parent this is Huge. So huge in fact that I had Drew call his mom at work and tell her..   HUGE DEAL IN MY HOUSE.

Growing up 2 fast!!

Well, Drew started preschool this past week and well, I don't like it. Don't get me wrong, I am excited about Drew going to school and learning to be with kids, growing on the base of knowledge he already has and gaining new friends. It's not any of that. It is the fact that he is NO longer a baby or toddler. Drew is now                             A Preschooler.

12 Years Together

Well, my wife and I have now been married for 12 years and yes she still loves me. Why? Well, I don't know why. But every day, ok every other day I try to let her know she is a good wife and a GREAT MOM. I know I am not always the best listener, or cleaner, or everything but I couldn't see myself with out my rock by my side.      Kelli Thank You.  I LOVE YOU.

3y/o on Crack

2 All parents. Please be aware. There is a 3y/o on the loose who has eaten, not one but two Krispy Kreme Donuts and has now been seen swinging from the rafters.

Boy, got to love it.

o-man, look at that face. I think I am going to work tonight and leave him with his mother, who bought, and gave him the donuts.  Please if you see Drew running down the street, return him. Remember a donut is just a donut but a Krispy Kreme is crack to a 3y/o ( and his father)

WALL-E Update

Well, I have been asked if Drew liked WALL-E. Well, I will start at the end. We were walking out after the movie was over and Drew asked if we could see it again, and then was mad when I told him the famous line "Later"

Now the question, did Drew sit through WALL-E? Yes and No. Drew is almost 3 1/2 and did have to go to the bathroom one time right in the middle of the movie. Also, there was very little talking in this movie and that didn't help keep the attention of the little man. I also ran out of popcorn very early in the movie and tried to limit the drink intake due to the small bladder of both of us.

So Yes he liked the movie and I think this will be a Disney classic and will be played over and over again at home. I must say for the most part Drew is getting better and better at going to the movies but still likes to be at home where he can hit pause.

Bike Accident

This is what happens when Drew gets off his bike when it is still moving. Someone forgot to use his breaks. What you see is a left skinned knee, some tears and bruised pried.
