Notes to the North Pole...

Jack has been a drawing/writing fool lately - he has drawn SO many pictures for Elfie and Santa and sent them with Elfie to the North Pole.  He is becoming quite the little artist!
Jack to Elfie.

The boys wrote letters to Santa one night - here's Jack's:
Ninja Turtles, Lego Ninjago, Lego Ninja Turtles, ???, and Santa's autograph!!!
And then he made ANOTHER list....minecraft, remote control Gravedigger, Crayon maker, Captain America mask and a Ninja Turtle blimp!  Good thing he's been good!!!
Drew's list:

Elfie has Arrived!

The boys were so excited the weekend after Thanksgiving to find that Elfie was back from the North Pole and he brought a North Pole Breakfast with him!  He brought them new ornaments, hot chocolate for their new Christmas cups, new movies for Drew and Jack and a book for Luke, and donuts!!

Here are some of the silly things he's been up to...
One day he hung underwear on the boys' little Christmas trees!

One day he wrapped up the boys' backpacks...

This one backfired on Elfie because Jack was NOT happy that it wasn't a real present!  Elfie spent the next day in timeout.

He wrote notes all over the mirror...
And brought them a puzzle one day.
I left the notes on the mirror for a couple weeks because Jack had added to it and it was just too funny.  He drew an elf...
and wrote Joy because he can spell it!
He also wrote Happy Holidays and I love Santa!
One morning the boys found Elfie in the car!  He must have known we had some errands to run that day.  He rode with us to school and then to see the lights at Longview Lake that night!
More Elfie antics to come...

Finding the Perfect Christmas Tree

The day after Thanksgiving we made our annual trip to the Christmas tree farm to cut down our tree!  We met Mimi, Papa, Ryan, Susie, Sam and Brody for breakfast at Cracker Barrell and then headed to Reindeer Lane.  It was a beautiful, sunny day!  The little boys had fun riding in the sled and Drew and Jack picked out and then helped cut down our tree!  After we found the perfect one, we went inside for hot chocolate, popcorn and a visit with Santa.  Luke wasn't a fan, so Mommy had to be in the picture, too.  Then we took a horse drawn carriage ride around the farm before we headed home.  It was a great morning!

"This one??"

Found it!

Brian was laying on Drew so he didn't get his coat dirty... :)

A perfect tree for little Lukey!

The boys got to ride up front with the driver and the horses.
They were so excited to decorate the tree!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with the Spotts family this year.  That morning we cooked some food to take with us and the boys decorated their little trees - Jack had been asking to do this for days and he couldn't wait one second longer!
After lunch Jack played dominoes with Great Grandpa Spotts.
The best family picture we could get......so thankful for these 4 boys!
We were home by about 4:00 and had a nice relaxing evening.  We had leftovers for dinner (but Jack had to have his usual PB sandwich...) and then decorated the house for Christmas!
