Family Fun

We've been having lots of family fun this week since Daddy is off of work.  We've played with all the new Christmas toys, put together lots of new Lego sets, watched movies and played games.  The other day we went bowling because we still had a free coupon from Drew's birthday party there last year.  This was Jack's first attempt at bowling - he was really into it for about the first half and then decided he was done.  :)  Drew is getting pretty good and did a little extra bowling when Jack's turn rolled around. Love my boys!

Spotts Christmas

We always have the Spotts Christmas at Grandpa's house on Christmas afternoon.  We have a great lunch and the kids get to open a few more gifts and give their gifts to Great Grandpa Spotts.

Thought this was just too sweet - we looked over and they were sitting like this on the couch - Jack playing on the leappad and Sam on the iPhone.

Opening his money from Great Grandpa!

Christmas at Mimi and Papa's

After we opened gifts at home we headed over to Mimi and Papa's house to celebrate Christmas with them and Ryan, Susie and Sam.  We had a great little breakfast and then the boys dug into their stockings and gifts!  Thank you Mimi and Papa for all the wonderful presents!

Money in our college funds!  Yay!!!

It's Batman!

Already figuring out his new Leappad.

So excited about his new ipod touch!

Drew and Jack got Sam a bike for Christmas.  He was pretty excited about what he calls his "motorcycle"!

Santa Came!!!

The boys must have been extra good this year because Santa sure left them some great gifts!  They were so excited but somehow Drew still slept until 7:45 and then we had to wake Jack up at 8:00 because we just couldn't wait any longer!  Santa left Drew the mountain bike he has been wanting, a lego city garage, new tow truck, indoor basketball goal and a remote control vehicle that drives and flies!  Jack also got the new orange bike he asked for!  He was also very excited about the drums, walkie talkies and cars that Santa left, but his favorite was of course the Batcave that he has been wanting for SO long.  :)

Ready to go downstairs on Christmas morning!

Drew checking out what Santa left!

Jack's gifts from Santa.

Excited to finally have walkie talkies like Drew!

They were so excited to see that Santa had allowed Elfie to stay one more day like they asked!

Checking out all the goodies Santa left in their stockings.

After they played with their Santa gifts for awhile, we opened gifts from our family.  Drew was a little excited about these light-up legos!

Modeling his new Under Armour sweatshirt.

Showing off their gifts to each other!  Jack got Drew some tractor-pulling tractors and Drew got Jack the monster trucks he has had his eye on!

They had to open this gift together because it was for both of them - wall tracks to race their cars on!

It was a great Christmas!  I just love seeing their excitement.  We are so blessed!  Drew had to try out his new bike and Jack rocked out on the drums a little more before we headed to Mimi and Papa's to celebrate Christmas with them!

Christmas Eve Festivities

The boys woke up on Christmas Eve to find that Elfie had trapped them in their rooms!  He left them special elf kisses and a note that said Santa had lifted his magic for today so the boys could touch him and tell him goodbye.  They were pretty excited about that!  They both said they didn't want Elfie to leave.  Jack had several meltdowns today about it!

We made Christmas cookies this morning for Santa and then the boys spent the rest of the day wrapping surprises for Mommy and playing with their new toys from Grandma and Grandpa!

Tonight before church, Mimi, Papa, Ryan, Susie and Sam came over for pizza.

After church the boys got to open their one Christmas Eve gift - it's always pjs but they don't remember that yet!  As you will see in the upcoming pictures, Jack was NOT happy.

"I wanted it to be a TOY!!!!"  Oh geez....

He got over it pretty quickly and they put on their new pjs and slippers and then we got cookies and milk ready for Santa and carrots for his reindeer!

Drew also wrote a note to Santa asking him if Elfie could please stay for one more day!  They just can't bear to part with him.  We'll see what Santa says!  We read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and then headed to bed so Santa could come!  We have 2 very excited little boys in this house tonight!
