Cabin Trip

Spent the weekend at a cabin in the mountains, four wheeling and goofing off with all of Trish's family. Had lots of fun around the campfire and the kitchen table laughing and playing games. Took the boys on some cool rides through the fall foliage up to a beaver pond where they got to throw rocks until they got tired. The boys loved the campfire and marshmallows; they also loved playing with their cousins and the neighbors dog that seemed to have adopted us. I love this time of year. it just makes me want to be outside all the time. Hopefully we can get out on a few more rides before it get too cold!

 

Back to School / First Day of School

Jonahs first day of Preschool, so far he loves it and is excited to learn. I'm told he runs to the door every day and waves to mom as he goes in. Cole is returning for another year of preschool he loves his teacher and loves to learn as well. We just have to work on when it is acceptable to talk and when it isn't.

Some how we got talked into adding some girls at our house! The boys and I picked up our chicks in march and just now we are starting to collect eggs!

Water Fun

As of late it has been so hot we have been trying to find fun activities to keep cool. Spent an afternoon downtown in the fountains, I wasn't planning on getting wet but ended up soaked anyway. It was a blast playing with my best buddies! Mom, she stayed safe and manned the camera. Next time we will get her drenched as well.

Happy Birthday Jonah!

Happy Birthday Jonah! It is hard to believe that Jonah is already three years old! Our little adventurer had a great day. He is still obsessed with spider-man, but has now included other superheros and characters from Toy Story. The weather didn't hold out for the outside party; so we made it work inside. Jonah got all shy when everyone was singing to him and was a little overwhelmed by all the attention (weird because he is the typical ham and will do all kinds of crazy things to be in the center of everything!)   Jonah, we love you tons! Thanks for being such a great little boy!

Soapstone

Loaded the truck and trailer for a great weekend of camping! The only thing that could have made the trip any better would have been if the truck and trailer had made it with us. We had to have the truck and trailer towed back to town; Trish and the boys continued on with the In-laws while I headed back for the trusty tent!

Soapstone was awesome! Wildflowers were in full bloom the hills were covered in yellows and purples. First night we had a visitor, a young moose came through camp. The boys had fun collecting wood for our fire. They piled the sticks up and then they laid on them saying that they were tired and needed a rest! They have crazy imaginations. We took up some pellet guns and air soft guns to play with it was fun target shooting with the boys. Went on a few walks, the weather was perfect! Not too warm during the day and just cool enough at night to put on a sweatshirt. The kids still love sleeping in the tent, Mom and Dad don't mind it but the trailer would have been much better. It was still fun and a much needed get away!

Fouth of July

We had a great fourth of July spent with lots of family, food and fun. Had a great time at the parade and fireworks the night after. I don't think that we could have had any better weather. The weekend was just perfect!

Rockport Camping

Had fun camping at Rockport, the boys got to play in the water and do a little fishing. Campfires are always a big hit, as are smores! I think that they had the most fun chasing ground squirrels with sticks!
