The boys really enjoyed the circus this year...that is until the man on fire was shot out of the canon! Drew was completely startled and terrified, and from then on, I spent the rest of our circus experience reassuring him that there were no more "scary parts". Reid proved to be the courageous little brother, which is no surprise, but still amazes me! He tried to help reassure Drew that "the suwr-kiss is not scary, Drew." They really can be so sweet to each other !

Last weekend the boys began working on valentines for their friends at school...they are excited to exchange with friends but it's a little hard of a concept to understand since it will be several more days until we receive any valentines! We are trying to work on signing our names, but whoever makes valentines for kids really doesn't have the preschool age group in mind, because our fine motors skills are not quite ready to write on such little cards! We did a few (thankful for 4 letter names!) and then got the clever idea to put name stickers on the cards instead.. that was a lot more fun anyway!

Next we decided to brave a little baking; flour, cookie cutters and all...BIG STEP for me with these wild ones!! My valentine..

I hope I always remember these chubby hands pressing heart shapes and gaining such satisfaction at the heart dough that results....it's the small things in life......

and my other valentine..

Wishing you a February full of love, laughter, and mostly, beautiful memories ...
