Hello Crafty Friends,
Hope you are enjoying Spring. I am loving all the Spring bulbs in my garden. They are so cheerful and always a delight after a long, cold winter.
Today's card is a birthday card made for one of my besties. I layered the dragonfly die cuts and added lots of pretty papers. I choose a bright color palette perfect for Spring.
Thanks for stopping in today. See you next time with napkin cards!

Refashioned Denim project
Hello Everyone,
Changing things up a bit today with a sewing project. I have jumped on the refashioning band wagon in a big way. I find it is so rewarding to take a garment that is never worn and changed into something really cool and fun to wear. The project today is refashioned from a pair of denim shorts. The shorts were never a favorite and did not fit well.
This is a picture of the shorts. I have already taken them apart at the crotch seam.
Here is my new warp denim skirt. I added a second denim to the front and bottom edge. I sewed an exposed separating zipper onto both edges of the front. This how I get in and out of the skirt. I added some large snaps on the opposite edge of the front to keep the skirt closed and in place.
This is a view of the back. I did have to add a small godet in back to get everything to lay flat.
This was such a fun project! I enjoyed the process of working through the refashion step by step. I liked the end results so much, I made a second skirt in white denim. I will share the photos of that project later.
Hope you enjoyed this interlude of sewing. Next post will be about card making, but I will continue to show you my sewing projects too.
Hope you are having a great day!!

Birds in Bright Colors
Hello Everyone,
Back today with fun cards I made in bright colors--perfect for Spring! This cute stamp is from Magenta. The images were stamped with Archival ink and colored with markers. I made a larger piece for my friend, Laurie, to frame and hang in her kitchen. The first piece is the larger.
The decorative papers are all from Stampin' Up.
The card below, unfortunately, was lost in the mail. It is floating around somewhere. I made this one for my friend, Jan, but it was never delivered to her.
This is the card I sent to Jan to replace the one that was lost in the mail.
So glad you stopped by today. Next post I will share photos of a refashioning sewing project. See you then!!

Masculine Thank You
Hello Everyone,
I needed a masculine Thank You for my husband to send to the president of his company. Of course it had to have a car...since we are living in the Motor City. I found this automobile in a collection of digis from Doodle Pantry. The image was colored with Copic markers and layered with two masculine decorative papers. By the way, the pres liked the card so much he sent a email thank you.
