Bed Head

Julia's claim to fame so far is her hair. She has A LOT of it and has since she was born. I think one of the fun things about having a baby with that much hair is seeing what state it is in when we go to get her in the morning. Sometimes it is nice and neat and, well, sometimes it looks like this..... :)

What a difference a year makes!

Julia....exactly one year later.

See that little peanut in the framed picture? That was Julia exactly one year earlier at our very first doctor's appointment. It was so wonderful to hear her heartbeat that day, but to actually see her was just amazing! It is so amazing how some years go by and not much changes, but this year that little picture says it all. Wow!!!!

5 Months!

Julia turned 5 months old last Sunday! I have been taking pictures of her every month to document her growth over this first year. But first here is a little about what she's up to!

Age: 5 Months

Weight: ~17-18lbs (we'll have an official weight at her 6mo appt next month)

Length: ~27 inches (we get lots of comments about how tall she is. She was in the 97% at her 4mo appt, so we'll see where she is at her next appt. Basketball player?)

Hair: Her claim to fame. No one can believe how much hair she has! 

Teeth: No teeth yet, but we think she's working on some!

Sleeping: I hate to talk about this subject because I don't want to jinx ourselves. I'll just say that we're very spoiled.

Eating: I am still nursing and we have started solid foods. Let the fun begin!

Movement: We now have a Roly Poly Girl! She's rolling front to back, back to front and combining them as well. Her teachers at daycare think that she'll be crawling sooner than later. Ah!!!

Milestones: Rolling, grabbing toys, solid food, "eating her toes", 

Favorite Toys/Activities: She loves jumping in her jumperoo, sitting in her bouncy seat and grabbing her toys and likes playing peek-a-boo. 

Dislikes: When I wipe her nose. Other than that I can't think of anything else, she's such a happy baby!

Words & Sounds: We've heard a laugh, but she makes us work for it. Blowing raspeberries, "singing" along with me in the car and talking to her toys with all kinds of high pitch squeals.

Solid Food!

Julia had her first taste of solid food this Tuesday! She was a little hesitant at first, but by the end she was lunging for the spoon! Here are some pictures!

Julia's Baptism Weekend

Julia was baptized July 16, 2011 at St. John the Baptist in Ypsilanti, MI by Father Bob Roggenbuck. Her godparents were her Uncle Matt and Aunt Mackenzie. What a special weekend it was! Here are a few pictures from the weekend:

Jump Around!!

We got Julia a jumperoo this week so she could practice "Jumping Around"!
