Elven Princess-Colour Along with Alyce

I was able to do a live Colour Along with Alyce from Kit and Clowder last Saturday via Ustream. It was great! She colored up this beautiful Aurora Wings digi called Elven Princess and I colored along. Alyce colored her image in about an hour and a half and I colored up the same image in about 12 hours!
The live Ustream session was recorded so you're still able to color along as well!
I haven't colored this size of image before so it was a fun challenge even though it was only a 5x7.
The challenging part for me was to create sculpted cheekbones with darker skin colors.
My coloring skills have improved so much because of the information Alyce shares on her blog and now she's opened a Kit and Clowder Ning site where she has started a new wonderful Copic community and she also teaches online Copic classes.
Her classes aren't in my budget right now so I'll do my best to glean as much info and instructions from Alyce's free colour alongs as I can
Thanks for being so generous with your talents, Alyce! You rock!
The next live color along is March 8th(AUS) and Alyce will be colring up a Tiddly Inks image.

I framed the 5x7 image and I also colored a regular size image to make a card with.
I love love love these Aurora Wings digi and can't wait to color up the other 7 digis I bought yesterday.

To the card I  added a vintage pearl and rhinestone butterfly hair stick,a beaded heart embellishment, a moon and star charm, gems, feathers, fancy buttons, glittered flowers, sugar dots, cheese cloth and Frantage.
It's hard to see from the pics but I've added micro rhinestones to the headpiece of the image.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs!

Tiddly Inks-Angel Spice

Valentine's ready to mail out
Hello!
I'm here sharing my 8th blog post tonight!
I think I just spammed blogger.
I made a collection of Valentine's some of my friends and family last Valentine's and I'm just finally getting around to blogging about it now.
I think I made and sent out 13 Valentines!
For this card I used a Tiddly Ink's image called Angel Spice.
I really love the Tiddly ink images and wish I had time to color up more of them.
I made a card using another Tiddly Ink's image called Sugar angel,   here.
I have a couple more birthday cards to blog about but it's after midnight now so I'll leave the rest for tomorrow.
Have a great night friends and thanks for the visit! Hugs!

Saturated Canary-Hugs And Kisses

Hi friends, are you still with me tonight?
I've been spending the night blogging some Valentine and Birthday cards that I made a while ago that I'm just finding time to blog about now.
This is a collection of  3 Saturated Canary images called Hugs And Kisses.
I believe this was another one of those fabulous freebies that Krista was giving away last February.
Saturated Canary images are so adorable and I love coloring them up.
You can find this digi in Krista's shop and it's only $2!
Sweet!
Bo Bunny's Enchanted paper was used and the sentiment is from a SU set.
The hearts were given a coat of glossy accents and stickles.
These are the Valentine's I gave my three daughters.
One more Valentine to blog about tonight...stay tuned.
Hugs!

Kenny K Valentine

Black boot bikers

Red Boot Bikers

Here's another Valentine collection of seven.
I colored these images a couple of years ago and finally I got to use them to make Valentine cards for some of my friends that ride.
I'm finally getting around to blogging about last years Valentines tonight!
I used another fabulous image from Kenny K.
This image is called, Carmen Electrafying and I've used this digi a lot!
A great image to practice coloring skin.
Some of the biker girls got colored with red boots and some were colored with black boots.
I used lots of gloss and glitter on the boots.
The sentiment is from a SU set.
And once again I used the Bo Bunny Enchanted papers.
I found these little motorcycle charms on Ebay to especially use on these cards.
I think I can get a couple more cards blogged tonight.Hugs!

Kenny K - Sexy Cupid Valentine

Hi friends! Welcome back!
Here's another Valentine card I made using a Kenny K digi called Sexy Cupid
The sentiment is from a SU set and I also used a SU punch for the sentiment banner.
The paper is from my hoarded stash of Bo Bunny's Enchanted collection.
It's so dramatic and I love the black glitter on it.
I used heart die cuts from Spellbinders.
I think I have three more Valentine cards to blog and I just may get them all done today.
Later!Hugs!

Kenny K -May Western-Valentine's

Hi friends! Thanks for checking out my 4th blog post today.
I made these Valentine's for a few of my very dear friends!
I love this Kenny K image, May Western. I've used this digi before on this Valentine I made for my husband a couple of years ago. You can see it here. I actually gave him that same Valentine card two years in a row and he had no clue! Men are so fun that way aren't they?
I love love love this Bo Bunny Enchanted paper and use it all the time for Valentine's! It's so dramatic! The paper has  been discontinued for a while now so I'm glad I stocked up on it when I had the chance.
The sentiment is from a  SU set and I also used a SU punch to make the sentiment banner.
Thanks for checking in again! Hugs!

Valentine Treat Holders

Hi friends! This is my third blog post today, and now I'm sharing the Valentine treat holders I made for the grandkids.
These treat holders are the perfect size for those "fun size" chocolate bars but I was unable to find any so I used Pop Rocks.
The stamps are from an old SU set I have called Toucan of my Love.
When I bought this set I had plans to make fun Valentine's for my kids when they were little, but I guess life got in the way and the set sat unused for years until now.
Funny thing is I've always seen myself stamping with my grandkids with every stamp I bought, long before my kids were grown up. I'm looking forward to creating stamp magic with them.
The grandkids loved the Valentine's and eating the pop rocks was a delightful new experience for them. Too fun!
These were so easy to make! I found the instructions here at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts.
These would be too fun to make up for Halloween too. I know I'll be able to find those little chocolate bars then.

I think I'm on a roll today. I may get a few more cards blogged tonight.
Stay tuned! Hugs!

Saturated Canary-Canary Love-Happy Birthday Morgan

Hi, I'm here again for a second time tonight with another birthday card.
My granddaughter, Morgan turned 5 last week and this is the card I made for her.
Wow! Time is flying! A few more weeks and my 7th grandchild will be here. D.V.
I wanted her card to be similar to the card I made for Hailey.
I'm going to have to remember to take a picture of the kids holding their cards when I give them.
And now that I think about it, I also didn't take pictures of them holding their Valentines. Things to remember.
I used this awesome image from Saturated Canary called Canary Love.
I've wanted to color it up since I first saw it.
Krista had offered this image as a freebie at one time. I couldn't believe someone would just give out such an amazing piece of art for free. I've come to find out that's just the kind of person she is. So incredibly crazy generous! Even now you can buy this digi in her shop for only $2. Who does that right? Thanks again, Krista I'm glad I was finally able to color up this beautiful digi.

I was finally able to use one of those Tim Holtz ring fasteners. Those things had me puzzled for a while but they are awesome to dangle charms from.

Thanks for hanging out! Hugs!

Saturated Canary Harley and Haley-Happy Birthday Hailey

Hi everyone! I've been going through my pics and decided today would be a good day to post some of the cards I've made recently but didn't have time to blog about until now.
My oldest granddaughter, Hailey celebrated her 6th Birthday last November and this is the card I made for her.
The image is from Saturated Canary and it's called, Haley and Harley.
I made the gold star, the "Love" and the heart embellie from clay. You can find my tutorial for that here.
I tied a key to the heart with a cheesecloth ribbon.
The Pink jewled flower was upcycled from an old sweater.
The birthday sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie's birthday trinkets.
I also added some Frantage in Shabby White around the image.
Thanks for stopping in! Hugs!

Boo and Snooky-DT Card for The Corrosive Challenge Blog

I hope everyone had their fill of love and chocolates last week!
We celebrated Valentine's Day by ordering in Chinese from our favorite restaurant.
I plan on buying some half price chocolates tomorrow.
It's just safer for everyone if there's chocolate in the house...know what I mean?
I've been busy making Valentine cards for the kids and grandkids  and didn't make a Valentine for my husband this year.
I was thinking of giving him the same one I gave him last year, but I already gave him that one two years in a row! He didn't notice last year so of course I had to  make a big deal about it and now he's on to me!

Today I'm sharing the card I made for challenge #193 at The Corrosive Challenge Blog.
"In Stitches"
Our sponsor this fortnight is
if you would love us to Sponsor your challenge blog
I love these whimsical digis and today my card features
I decided on a monochromatic color scheme because I just couldn't decide what colors to use.
For this image I used all of my warm grey Copics.
The paper is from  TH paper pack, and the sentiment is from Kraftin Kimmie Birthday Trinkets.
I was so delighted with how my card turned out that I proudly showed it to my husband who's comment was,"Nice, what's it for?
I said. " A chellenge!" (in a you should know that voice)
He replies, "yes I know but what is the theme?"
I think for a second and shake my head!" I can't believe it!" I said,"It's in stitches! And I just realized I didn't add any stitches!!!"
I had left almost no room on the card to add any stitching so I added as much faux stitching as I possibly could by piercing holes close to the edge and added  black ink for thread.
Wow, it looks just like the stitching I would have done if I had used my machine! A total train wreck! Just the way I wanted it to look!
If you love these faeries be sure to link up with us at TCCB and you could win 3 images!
Thanks for stopping by! Hugs!

Sassy Pin Up Kitty

Hi everyone!
Are you enjoying the Olympics?
I love them and I'm very excited for Canada!
I'm thankful I have a t.v. in the kitchen because I don't think I'd be very productive over the next couple of weeks if I didn't.
Today I'm sharing the card I made for the Sassy Studio Designs Progressive Facebook Challenge. The new challenge theme for this month is
“Hearts & a Sassy Sentiment “
The FREE image they are sharing is thisSassy “ PIN UP Kitty
I love the SSD images and I've loved every card I've made with these sassy images.
I knew the Pin Up Kitty would be a lot of fun to work with. I requested the free image so I could play along and this is what I've come up with.
I contemplated paper piecing the bodice, ears, and shoes but decided I would  try making leopard print using my Copics.
I followed this leopard print tutorial from Some Odd Girl   which was very helpful!
I love how well my leopard print turned out! I'll be doing more of that!
I used Shabby Pink Frantage around the image, and glittered up Kitty's hair and tail with Glam Pink Stickles.
The background leopard paper I used has a velvety feel to it. The hot pink sparkle cardstock has extreme sparkles! They're huge and plentiful and flake off just from looking at them.
Needless to say I  now have  them are all over  the house.

If you want to play with the free Pin Up Kitty be sure to Like SSD FB page and request your free image. You have until Feb.14 to play along.
Thanks for stopping in! Hugs!

Queen Of Hearts Pinup-DT Card for The Corrosive Challenge Blog

Hi everyone!
Today I'm sharing the card I made for the new challenge "Feel The Love" at The Corrosive Challenge Blog.
Our sponsor this fortnight is Sassy Studio Designs.
I've chosen to color up the digi image, Queen Of Hearts Pinup.
Definitely SASSY!
I just love Enchanted Harlequin paper from Bo Bunny, and it's my favorite paper to use for Valentines cards. It's  discontinued but I did manage to find a store that still has it in stock.Yep I stocked up!
I used my absolute favorite color of glitter cardstock, "Pink Punch" by Best Creations Ink.
The sentiment, Hugs and Kisses is from SU.
The clock die cut is from a SCACD and is called Alice's Clock.
I love that die and was so glad I got to use it!
There's also a SCACD corner die at the left top corner of the card that's a little difficult to make out from the pictures. I coated the dies with a layer of black stickles.
I had made some stick pins for some tags a while ago and had one left over so I made it into an arrow by adding a heart to one end of the pin, and a feather to the other.
Can you feel the LOVE?
I'm looking forward to seeing what LOVEly creations you've come up with so be sure to link them to TCCB and take a look at what the rest of the DT were inspired to create.

Hugs!
