Everyone has a case of the Mondays every now and then. Some people have them every Monday. And others deal with a 6 year old that has an abscessed tooth and a husband who needs to be taken to the ER because he has appendicitis type of Monday.
Luckily, said 6 year old got to spend his entire Monday with his wonderful Tutu & brother while his father hung out with his wife and little baby girl all day at the hospital. 9:30 am to 11:30 pm is what my day looked like. Gwen was a perfect angel for that 14 hour day trip to the hospital. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
The appendectomy went off without a hitch, the boys enjoyed their time with Tutu, Gwen was a happy camper and now I will try to get some sleep. Which may or may not actually happen. It's hard to sleep without your eternal companion by your side.
I will say, we have been blessed. It's amazing how things work out. This has been a blessing in disguise and I'm so, so grateful that our dear Heavenly Father has been watching out for us. I am so grateful for his love and care. Blessings come in mysterious ways sometimes but The Lord knows what he is doing and we just need faith. All is well. All is well.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We love you.
Gwen was so content and quite happy to be held all day and adored by anyone who saw her at the hospital. She smiled at everyone and brightened a few people's day. She is such a sweetie.
We did have a beautiful view...
