Gwen is my Goofball

I usually have one of my kiddos stand in for lighting tests before I do a photo session at home for a client. They’re truly my favorite because then my kids are relaxed, and I’m relaxed, so I get some pretty hilarious shots that show their personalities bursting through the photo. These were too fun not to share. Gwen pulls some pretty amazing expressions. I’m glad I captured a few for memory sake.

Happy Halloween 2017

Its been AGES since I’ve posted anything on here. I really need to get better about this. At least for the sake of my kids!

Happy Halloween!

2017 brought us Marty McFly, a Skeleton from Minecraft, Rey from Star Wars, and a Chicken! Halloween fell on a Tuesday this year so the kids were able to go Trick-or-Treating twice! The Trunk-or-Treat and ward party were the previous Saturday and it went really well. There were a ton of families parked to hand out candy and the chili cook off inside afterwards was a perfectly delicious way to end the evening. Gwen won a prize for her awesome costume too. Travis invited his friend Greg from school and his family and they came. It was so fun to spend some time with them.

On Halloween night, we took the kids around the neighborhood. Not everyone in our neighborhood participates in handing out candy but enough do to make it worth it. We walked for about an hour and 1/2 but once the kids started to get tired, we headed home. Aubrey was so cute; she was bundled in the stroller for the first two houses and then realized what was happening every time the older kids knocked on doors – they received CANDY! She was in it to win it after that. She had a blast and really enjoyed Halloween this year. Only one person knew exactly who Travis was and a lot of people asked if we bribed Enoch to dress up as Marty. They were truly surprised to hear that it was his idea and also, his favorite movie.

Halloween 2017 was most definitely an awesome night, enjoyed by all. I felt bad for their teachers the next day! Candy hangovers GALORE! Happy Halloween!

Aubrey turns 1

Oh my gosh, how is she ONE already? My baby, my last baby is ONE you guys! Aubrey has blessed our lives every day since she joined our family. She is such a loving, spunky, intelligent little girl. She loves to give kisses and she LOVES to tease you – she gets this from her DAD. She’s crawling, standing, attempting to walk, eating big girl food, loves to draw on Gwen’s easel, talk to the boys’ Lego men, chats like crazy in her own little language, she enjoys clapping, singing, and leading the music at church. She is the perfect little caboose to our little brood. She is loved by her siblings so fiercely that she often crawls away lightning fast to get away from them. : D Aubrey, we love and adore you. Happy Birthday Sweet Girl! <3

For her big day, we had a family party. Lots of yummy food was brought and shared along with some delicious cake and cupcakes. We’re so glad everyone could make it to share this special day with Aubrey. <3

We missed Gaius’s birthday so we gave him his gift at Aub’s party. Its a Chewbacca pillow pet and sleeping bag, so cute!

my girls–october 2016

Every now and then, I get to take my girls on photo shoots with me and during this session, I happened to snap a few photos of my girls. They are just too cute, I couldn’t not share! And can I just say, I LOVED McDonald’s DC toys this year! The little masks for the kids are so adorable! We have Hawk Man, seen above on Aubrey, and Batgirl. I just love them! Way to go McDonald’s! Finally, a happy meal toy that I DON’T want to throw away once the kids are in bed.
