It was so fun to do preschool with Seth and his little friends. I really miss that cute group. They were all quite cooperative; like when I had them doing Yoga poses, they were right with me. Why does that just tickle me?
I gave them an art lesson, and they really did pretty well for preschoolers.
Here is the same lesson with some of my art students.
I just love these little kids and watching them grown and learn. I love taking walks with the boys-- they are so good at noticing the little things along the way.
Isn't being part of a family the best?! There is just a lot of give and take that stretches us.
I know Doug probably won't appreciate me sharing this, but it kind of cracked me up as I was looking back through pictures.
From time to time the girls get a little worried they won't get enough dinner. (And I feed them well, so it's pretty silly) but one night I made "just enough" BBQ muffin cups and they were kind of a hit, but they panicked when Doug took an extra one. He got frustrated with them {and the poor guy does happen to be the one who puts the food on our table} and I found these notes that evening on his pillow. I guess it's good that the girls have learned to "articulate" their concerns.
I love going on field trips with the boys, too! We decided to be adventurous and take the bus downtown when our car was in the shop getting fixed. We hiked over to the capital building for the National Day of Prayer. It was really neat.
We had a little Pita before and that greatly improved the boy's behavior. :)
I feel excited when people gather to be grateful and to remember how this great nation was formed and who is in charge.
It was really neat after when the boys got to meet Butch Otter, the Idaho Governor. He gave them hugs-- it was pretty cool.
It was a fun adventure and so delightful to see them be amazed by little things like bus rides. :) I learn so much from their little curious, excited minds.
The girls love to cook-- they made some pudding with their sweet friend Alicia that spends a lot of time at our house. Cute girl!
And speaking of always learning, you never know what you might run into on your walk home from school. (Thank goodness every cloud has a silver lining, because this was just after we discovered someone had stolen Autumn's bike.)
