SNOW!

As you can tell from my previous blog entry, my enthusiasm to update my blog frequently has slowly waned off. The last time I blogged, I was still in my yay-i-got-a-job-phase. Post-disney, post-finals, post-fall semester 2008, I'm back to reality where I just signed my job contract, and am one more step closer to admitting that I'm going to be home for good after graduation.

Despite it sounding lame, disneyworld was a whole lot of fun. It was nice to be shipped out of the snow and cold in Ithaca to somewhere more cheery where you can leave all your worldly worries behind. The resort was alot larger than the one than I visited in Anaheim years back and it took us 4 days just to complete all the theme parks. I had tons of cutesy pictures which I wanted to upload, but unfortunately, my once trusty dell just recently died on me. Oh wells. And 2 weeks ago, we went down to NYC for the weekend (and my CFA exam which was torture to be stuck in the exam hall for 6 hours) where we decided to prolong our Disney bubble and caught the Little Mermaid musical broadway for just 30 bucks (which is a huge steal). And of course, I ended up doing some serious damage to my finances shopping at Soho and dining at nice places everyday in the city that the credit card bill (in the tune of 4 digits) which arrived yesterday was such a huge slap in the face. I guess I should be reining in that spending for awhile. :S

It's snowing and snowing outside now. There's a snowstorm warning today for about 7-11 inches of expected snowfall. I'm alone and stuck in ck's apartment because the car couldn't get through the thick blanket of snow outside. For the first time, I won't be heading home over the holidays, and I think a little part of me is going to miss being home during the holidays.

Tomorrow's going to be the start of my South America adventure! First stop is going to be Lima in Peru then the Inca Trails, followed by Ecuador and then the Galapagos Islands. Yesss Galapagos!! Haha. The highlight of the trip to revisit where Charles Darwin spent his time researching on finches to come up with the theory of Evolution! :D

I guess I won't be in real civilization for awhile so merry christmas and happy holidays and I'll be back very soon! ;)
