Altered Item!

I have so many items that i have stuck in my closet to be altered one day so when Stephanie over at Always Crafting posted her challenge this week I was thrilled to be checking a thing to do off my list!

I had this neat container that came with nail polish and stuff inside, I loved the clear sides and pop off top so I saved it:

Now that I have all my Christmas supplies out I thought this would be perfect to store my Holiday ribbons, I  used strips of paper to cover the pink sides and top,  I punched a hole for the top ribbon and added some fun Holiday foam stickers. Now my Holiday ribbon will not get mixed in with my regular ribbon!

Chrstimas already!

It comes too quick!

I used DoodleCharms for the Tree and Snowflakes for the embossing folder. I embossed another sheet of white and punched out a few of the snowflakes and used pop dots to pop them up and added silver glitter.

I usually make my cards 5 1/2 X 41/4 but this one is a large 5X7, this allowed me to make the tree at 6 1/4" super large for a card instead of  3 1/2".
I added these cool lights using my hot glue gun.

Lights are from Lemax Accessory. I bought them at Michael's last year.

Frosted Designs: Make it large!

Crafty Calender:  November is to make a 'Winter' themed project and the optional extra is 'Snowflakes'

Cricut Cardz Challenge:  For challenge # 49, make a card for Christmas with something that starts with the letter "S" (Santa, snowflake, sled, sleigh, squirrel, etc).

Your Invited!

Now that we are having BEAUTIFUL Arizona weather we decided this year to get a fire pit! We are going  to cook hot dogs and smores on it! I made this invite for our friends next door to come and join us!

The fire is from Create A Critter, I used Divine Swirls on his outline and traced them with glitter glue. The red background I used the Bubbles Cuttlebug Folder. The border was from a paper stack.

Challenge:
The Cuttlebug Spot: Come to Dunner!

UPDATE:

We had so much fun! Hot dogs, smores and Jiffy pop!

Cookies for Santa and Something Gross!!

I made this gingerbread man to look like he is on the plate left out for Santa! I used white paint for the frosting, I tried to use white flock but it didn't work. Ran him through the Mosaic Cuttlebug Folder and used a silver gel pen for around the plate. The "for Santa" is from the Wild Card Cartridge I just cut them with the Cricut markers.Gingerbread Man is from From My Kitchen.

My Daughter was screaming from our laundry room :

That is a scorpion that was in the light in our laundry room!! Gross! He was running back and forth inside the light! I was like stop screaming and get my camera! Husband saved the day!

Peace Birthday Invites

I was asked to make Peace Birthday invitations for a friend. I didn't have any cartridges with the Peace sign so I designed one on Sure Cuts Alot.

I made these using an envelope and paper crimper: You pull the little top off and the invite slips inside!

The "Your Invited" is from Plantin Schoolbook and the Cricut Markers. She picked the paper and I added a little bling and details.

She loved them!

DAY 2 - Dia de los Muertos/A Celebration of Life Blog Hop

Thank you for hopping along with us today!

If you are here from Cristina's blog Crafting with Cristina then you are in the right place! If you have stumbled upon this hop and want to start from the beginning head on over to Abby's blog here!

After researching The Day of the Dead, I really became inspired after looking at all the amazing photos! So today I also used an inspiration to create my card.

I really liked this photo! I wanted my creation to look like a display on a mantel.

Here is my creation:

I used a ruler and a silver gel pen to make the appearance of brick and inked along the edges. I was so pleased with how it turned out. I added some brown cardstock for the mantel.

I used Oct 31 for the skeleton, using the fit to length button I was able to cut him the exact length I needed for my card. He was cut with glitter paper and I added the flower and gem to give it just the extra it needed.

The candle was so super tricky because it was cut so small!! I tried cutting it at least eight times on card-stock then gave up! So I ended up using black vinyl because it cuts like butter and it is already sticky. It takes a little getting used to adhering it, but with some practice it works out pretty good and I have been using it more and more for the smaller intricate pieces. I added some glitter glue to make it look like fire.

Thank you so much for hopping with us! I hope you enjoyed the amazing projects and blogs as you went along!

Dia de los Muertos/A Celebration of Life Blog Hop

Welcome to A Celebration of Life blog hop!

If you are here from Cristina's blog Crafting with Cristina then you are in the right place! If you have stumbled upon this hop and want to start from the beginning head on over to Abby's blog here! You don't want to miss any of the amazing projects!

I used an inspiration photo for my project today! Here is the photo that I used:

I decided to use Indie art for the skull because it had such a defined skull cut. Cut at 4 3/4" first in white, then I used some scraps to get the exact cuts that I wanted:

I lined up the strips of colored paper and taped them together on the back and re-cut the skull. This gave me exact pieces to put over the white. I then just pieced the skull together!

No Day of the Dead Skull is complete with out beautiful flowers and bling!

Completed by adding background paper run through the Cuttlebug Moroccan Screen Folder.

I hope you enjoyed my project! Come back tomorrow for another project and giveaway!

Before you leave... I have some blog candy to share:
Some fun vacation/holiday 3-D stickers and two stamps!
