Hapbee Birthday!

I made this card with the following challenges in mind:

Alphabet Challenge: U -unused Stash

The Corrosive Challenge: # 82 This week its all about cleaning up the dust on some of that unused craft stuff you all have! You know you said "I have to have this", or "wow this is cool"...but it sat there forever! Well it's time to use it!!  :)

Well, I pulled out my first paper pack that I ever bought. I think it was May 2009

It has been a long time since I used this stack since it has been piled high with new stacks! I flipped through and remembered why I bought it! I picked a pattern that I never used before and built my card around it.

I also pulled first my first jar of prima flowers that I ever owned and only used flowers from it. The ribbon is probably just as old because it was in the bottom of my extra ribbon bucket.
The stamp is new to me but I bought it off of someone who bought it in 2001 and never used it!
Bee is from Create a Critter.

Arizona

The challenge over at Serenity Scrappers is:  favorite weather in your neck of the woods.

Since I live in Arizona it seems to always be hot! So my favorite weather is the first week of December it is usually between 65 and 70 degrees! It is when we decorate our palm trees with Christmas lights.

I used Doodle Charms for the Palm tree, Destinations for the Arizona and Create a Critter for the lights.

I am also entering this in the Alphabet Challenge: T - Trees

Highway 20 Ride...

One of my favorite songs right now is Highway 20 Ride from Zac Brown...

I ride east every other Friday, but if I had it my way my day would not be wasted on this drive....

I"m listening to it right now!

So when I saw the challenge over at Frosted Designs I knew exactly what song I wanted to do!

Here is the challenge:

So this week I want to you use a song lyric somewhere on your project. It can be from any song in any genre. Just make sure you have fun thinking about it and let us know who the artist is so maybe we can get to know some great new music.

Here is my entry:

I love how this turned out! I used a 5X7 Card, some old map paper, the highway sign is from Going Places and the truck is from New Arrivals.
The letters are a rubber type which I thought felt like wheels and the ribbon like a road!
I enjoyed making this one!

This also is being entered into the Paper Cutz Challenge:
For challenge # 51, make a card, LO or craft project using a digital, hand stamped or Cricut cut image of something with wheels, and any colors or theme you'd like.

And

I think this card would be great to give to a Dad or Husband that is taking a trip!

Cricut Cards Challenge: For challenge # 30, make a card for a wedding using any cartridge(s) or colors you'd like. Check them out here!

Here is my entry for both!
I could not find a wedding cake on any of my cartridges except Wild Card and I didn't want to use that one so I used the Birthday Cake from Stretch your Imagination, I just left off the candles!
The paper is from K*I Memories, the flowers are from Joann's and I used a little punch for the little blue flowers. Sentiment is from Close to my Heart. I found these great colored large staples at Micheal's so I added them to the ribbon.

Alphabet Challenge H

Our challenge for you this week, is H for Hearts. We would like to see hearts on your work somewhere, either bp's, stamps, embellishments etc. You can visit the Alphabet Challenge Blog by clicking HERE!

Here is my entry:

I used Paper Pups for the heart, I cut it twice and then added acetate paper between them using foam dots and filled it with pink glitter. When I taped the Heart Vellum paper down you could see my tape lines so I added the scallop border around to hide it. My cuts were off just a little bit, So I'll have to measure a little bit better next time!
