13th Oct 08

I've been.................... lazy - charged and guilty! BUT! It's my blog, not yours! Ha ha!! =p

Meet me up, when September ends...
I stopped work on the last day of September so as to spend what remaining hols I had to meet up with some friends. Everyday, I was out and it was really tiring and my cold/flu came at the wrong time. Anyway it was nice finally meeting up with Jon, Josh and the rest. They'd just return from a very, very expensive holiday. I didn't entirely accomplish what I wanted to this hols but oh well, sacrifices will have to be made! I made very nice friends at work, and I think I'm very blessed to be working in such an environment under such a boss! Come on, every workplace has its crappy issues (boring tasks, nasty customers, careless mistakes, unreasonable superiors...) but I take it as an opportunity actually, to 'not follow the crowd'. WWJD? Haha! Nvm if you don't get what I mean. It's that CERTAIN joy that's in u so that no matter what happens, your day will just start and end so peacefully. *wink*

My sis is such a talented person! I stayed over at her house just before school reopened and I dug out one song she'd composed years back. Such beautiful melody and lyrics! I had lotsa fun singing with her and BoonY again! Mah sista cook good, look good, sing good and even write good!!~ See -->

About Me (from Facebook):

Owned by one
Grown by two
Loaned to none

Forgiven and freed

Back to school...
School started today and I think I'm the only abnormal person so glaaaaaaaaad! Heeeeeee! Besides the friends, which are the major reason of cuz, I'm kinda looking forward to the modules and how different this sem is gonna be for me. I know it's gonna be different! =D My timetable is not exactly ideal, but I'm fine with it! I've only met my SOM and BCOMM2 teachers. Hmmm, I have an ang moh teacher who's not that old but still quite boring. Maybe he hasn't warmed up to us. LOL! I'm always intrigued by accents! =D Anyway, one bad baaaddd thing is it's tough meeting Jo up this sem. =(

Mid-Autumn Festival

The moon was big, round and bright!! Nictan organised a little lantern 'party'. We met at TPY, went to one of the rooftop gardens of the carparks around the 40-storey blocks, played candles, blowed bubbles, and sang the night away. The lanterns didn't come with sticks so Nic and I broke tree branches with the leaves still attached. LOL indeed!! My friends from Edge are awesome!

Here are some random pictures:

From TPY, I MRTed to CCK and waited for mommy to pick me up:

This was at Vivo deck, during Carmen's net outing at Sentosa. We went over to Marc's to eat/watch TV/make sandwiches. =P:

Like small kid siaaaa! Lol!:

Picture of Carmen lepak-ing and Nictan's leg -.- :

Persons & Peoples

I'm looking forward to meet my friends to choose timetable tgt tmrw! Many bdays are coming up and I don't know what to do!!!! =SSS
21 sept - Sam
22 sept - Dad
23 sept - Sis, Bryan, Chih Ching
25 sept - Bgoh, Ivan
9 oct - Vanny
19 oct - Joeline
21 oct - Anand
30 oct - Jabez

Frankly, I'm vexed that I can't think of anything to organise for my class. I really want to celebrate nicely their bdays and gd results and great friendships but I don't know what to do. Many of us hv found jobs and we're busy and it's hard to accommodate everyone.

And btw, I have met NICE and NASTY people at work. Let me share some.. Hehe!
KingKoil
4 full-timers: boss Alan Ong (best boss ever! Love the mooncakes he bought. Lol!), Crystal & Helen (they are good friends and pretty nice and concern people), Eileen (the crazy, loud one =p).

Part-timers:
Ming Fa - TALL mao mao guy but nice and funny.
Wei Qiang - another joker who sold mooncakes and studies in SP
Xiao[3] Pei Wen - a petite and cute girl! Currently studying at NYP. There's also da[4] Pei wen but I don't know her well.
Lun Siong - TP guy and he let me rip all the FOP songs! Hahahah! He attends a Chinese service! =))
Aaron - I immediately guessed he was from all-boys school. I was spot on abt a few other stuffs too. Super funny! I can't divulge though...in case. lol! Big fan of Oasis. Many interesting stuffs about him. And I think he resembles Wu Zun. Lol!
Rong Fu - Lun Siong's gd friend. Hvn't got the chance to talk much to him too.
Myanmar girl - her name is pronounced 'Ni' but I don't know the spelling. =S She has a really nice smile!! She's studying in a local Uni. =D

Others
Ken - from Balmain, Kingkoil's partner friend. He doesn't look his age and is SUPER crappy but respectable. He should get Best Promoter Award. Hahaha!

Snowdown brand (one of kingkoil's rival): Cindy (I don't like her. Bad first impression and I disapprove of the way she promotes her products and cuts other's.), Joyce (a yr 1 mass comm student in NP), Hua Ci (Aaron's friend whom I've only talked to once and he quit.)

2 Jennys: from Indulgence and Balmain with totally different characters.

Ribena aunty from Hallmark: She knew I have a garden so she gave me ribena seeds to plant. Talked to her a few times and she's a nice old lady but I don't know her name. =/

Robinsons Staff: Liza (Nice girl!! Joeline fasts with her. Lol!), Lilian (like Koh Poh Tee but the difference is, KPT gains respect, Lilian doesn't.)
Security guards: the Chinese one is very unfriendly, the Malay and Indian ones are all right, the female one asks a lot of questions. Haha!

TBC...
~~~
Ok this is considered only a short list and description of the people around me at work but u've gotta give it to me for the effort! hahaha!
And till today, 6 people hv mistaken me for a Myanmar girl. Baaaaaaaah!
My prayer, His power
Jabez went to China and he updates me abt the on-goings when he catches me online. A very cool incident happened. I got 're-linked' to a kindergarten friend through him! Jabez and him (Shiwei) are classmates and roommates now! We had a really hearty chat online! Hehehee!! Jabez is well and enjoying himself and I wish him all the best for his test this Thurs! Congrats for ur superb results bro! I must boast for ya! LOL! 4 points and 3rd in place... what can be better than doing our best for God??
Now I'm on this topic, I guess I'll update about TB28. This sem's been an awesome journey for all of us. We played super hard till commontest came and knocked us hard on the head to remind us to start studying. Hehehe! I didn't do well for my common test and I was actually quite disappointed that time. Some of my projects didn't go smoothly as well and I had to give it my best for the last shot - exams. Despite being very distracted during the study week, I thank God for carrying me through and I got what I'd prayed for - 3As, 2Bs. My GPA exceeded my expected since I knew I wouldn't do as well cuz I was under less stress compared to sem 2. I got 3.8 exactly. The weird thing was I was both happy and sad over my results. I wasn't nervous prior to getting it back. I looked at the grades, overjoyed for the B+ in HRM (I nearly failed the project, you see) but disappointed that some of my As weren't A+ or distinctions. But then, I prayed for 3As and 2Bs and God was faithful because he gave them to me! Why am I still complaining and so greedy? In fact he's given me a much better GPA than what I could ask for and he's given me joy abundantly! When my friends asked around for results and all, I was even happier to hear that so many of them did so well and scored 3 and above! To a few who didn't do as well, this is just one of the downs. Next sem, no matter whr we end up, we will continue encouraging and helping each other! ;) Sometimes, you feel that u deserve greater than others for the effort u put in. But my friend, the eyes of man can't see and know everything but God's eyes can! He will reward you accordingly if only you live righteously and for Him. =D All glory and thanks be to God!
For many who know, I hate reading. The bible however is the greatest read ever! Hahahaha! I've begun reading just a bit (need more discipline!) of the new testament and there are already soooo many answers! WAHOOOOO! Honestly, this journey is really tough but the only way to grow is to read His word and pray!
I've seen how God can change lives and how wonderful it is to see people getting saved!!
I have 2 wishes... =)
WAHOOO!
I HAVE A HOT PINK STUDY BIBLE!!! Wahahahahahha!
Now no one will mistake mine for theirs. Lol!
I went to Campus Crusade bkstore at braddell to look for a study bible and I was accompanied by Marc, Nic, Sam and Sharmaine. We ate at Botak Jones then went to Sam's hse. He keeps a golden retriever and a japanese dunnowhat dog. Old and lazy and SO SO CUTE! GAH I forgot to snap pictures of them! Anyway Sam's room is really comfy. He has crazy music instruments and he uses an amp as his speakers. Lol! *BOOMBOOM* =p Very sadly, I fell sick and mood was kinda low. I felt worse and worse so I took a cab home, popped 2 panadols and crawled upstairs to my room. My body was burning throughout but thank God my fever totally went away when I got up. Throat was a bit irritable but it was like the fastest time I've ever recovered from sth. Hahah! =D
~~~

And guessed who came to town??

Jo and Bryan! I make them sound like superstars huh? =P They dropped by my workplace to pass me a present (or rather, presents within a present. lol!). Jo is a scary person. She reads my mind and knows what I want. O.O Hahaha! I hvn't really caught up with my sec sch friends and it's sad, SaD, SAD!! =((( I don't wanna drift apart! *SIGHHHHHHHH*

Foot massage pls?

Double ouchness! My legs are on the verge of collapsing! I think I have bone degeneration. Hahaha... But seriously, my knees just feel like giving way and my feet aches so much I walk with a limp at times. =( Oh wells, no pain, no gain... but, so much pain, still the same gain!! Dawwggghh! Hahaha! Anyway, my colleagues are nice ppl. But there's a bit of a communication barrier. Hahah! Used to it already. In 5 days, 4 ppl asked if I was from Myanmar. =.=""" Many others asked what race I was and whether I was local and they were amused when I understood or spoke chinese/some dialect.

On other work-related issues, I'm looking for low-cut formal pants. These days, the pants are all high and meant for tucking in the shirt. Gone are the days of slight bell bottoms. *sob*

Ok byes!

Eventful August 2008

13th August:
OK I know I've dragged this post for such a long time... *guilty* I was actually waiting for the pictures of Carmmy's bday celebration from Samuel. And now, I have yet to get them still! Hehehe! Anyway, Happy 18th Birthday my precious friend!! I hope it was a pleasant one for ya! I thank God for putting u in my life! U're someone I look up to and u've been such a blessing to many of us! It's amazing how God can use a person! =D I love u loads and I'm looking forward to see ya on Sats! Hahahaha! Do get a com soon!! Heee~

The bday card I pondered days over cuz I have problem doing cards for Arty Farty ppl.. Lol!!:

That's Marcus practicing hard for the 2 songs =P:

William's house:

The Red Line people after chilling at Carmen's place:

18th - 22nd August:
We had about 2 weeks of study break but the motivation for me to study came only 4 days before the papers started. I'm aiming for 3As, 2 Bs min. I'm a perfectionist who stresses myself. =( Anyway, results will be out on the 15th and I'm looking forward not to the results or choosing timatables but being able to meet up with my classmates. I really really hope most of us will be in the same class again! 22nd Aug was bittersweet. Exams ended, yay! Bday, double-yay!! My classmates planned a really sweet bday surprise for me! Those darlings...haha! Whr on Earth did they find the time to organise amidst the revisions for exams?! Gosh! Each of them wrote a little something..some wrote essays.. Haha! I've read them more than 5 times now! Every single card has special significance to me. If I write about each of my classmates, this entry would turn into a book. I'm thankful!!

Mangooooooee:

They made me a banner and a nice 'treasure' box!!! ^_________^:

And guess what was in the box? -->

Tada! They know me so well! They know I love gummies and I live in near a jungle (I'm called Junglewoman for a reason...):

Carmen, Joeline and Claudia!:

Blurry Claudia and Carissa! Lol! :

Samuel LJW doing the rocker-dude, Ben with the lion's mane, Clement my sexy lovely mum, Aaron (Teck Guan!!) my fishmonger friend and Yu Song/Songster. LoL! :

Aaron has this interesting hoody that zips up allll the way! =D

After our last paper, we headed to Harbourfront for Dim Sum. We had many many many many baskets (what do u call those dim sum trays?) of dim sum cuz Derek happily took advantage of the buffet eat-all-you-can and ordered away. Hahahaha!!! Anyway I'm gonna stay away from dim sum for the time being. Heheheh! After that, we went to this very nice pet shop at vivo. And then we chilled at this place and played some goggles game Derek taught us:

Clarene, Vanny and William weren't in the pictures =(((! Everyone went home to date their beds except Claud and I. Claudia's mom couldn't join her for the fireworks display so she invited me to join her! Soooo cooooooooooool!!! TY CLAUD! I'm gonna get a real camera and video down next time! Anyway we saw the French display. Couldn't catch the Korean one but it was really superb!! There was a magic show, belly dancers, military band performance and a live band (Cats in a Cradle - not too bad! The vocalist was good, the electric guitarist was wikiiid! =p).

We waited from morning...

Till night.....................Lol, I'm kidding. Time passes quite quickly when u're having fun. We ate while waiting and took pics and crapped. =D

There were girls like this dressed up as fireworks using balloons... Creative huh?

There were little foodstalls, accessories stalls and even game stalls. This was quite amusing! :

Lollipops!:
There's been an addition to my family! No, my mom's not pregnant! That would be a nightmare. Lol! My dad's client gave us a shitzu (a dog) cuz her daughter was allergic to the poor doggy. The dog had also been attacked by nasty blood-sucking ticks but now it's fine and loved by all of us! =) It's such a coincidence that the daughter, Florence, graduated from NP with a dip in BS as well! She majored in HR though and she knows Mark Tan and Koh Poh Tee! hahaha! Anyway here's Lollipops for ya:

She's a smart one! I thought her how to shake paw and she learned within a few minutes! Unlike Joey, who made me finish one whole packet of biscuits before she finally daintily lifted her paw. -.-

Bei Jing Olympics:
was a distraction to many of us who had to study for our exams. I was caught up with weight-lifting, football, badm, bball, table tennis, gymnastics, swimming, diving, track & field, volleyball and so many more!! The opening and closing was grand, the events were exciting, some disappointing. There were funny commentators, memorable sportsmen (namely Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps), good-looking guys, many record-breaking events and awesome sportsmanship! London next!

CEFC @ Woodlands:

A really really nice baptism pool...hehehe! :

I wanna join the Edge at VFC!! The series now is Hostage and it really speaks to me! There have been things I've kept inside for too long! I don't know if sharing with someone would be better but all these yrs, I hvn't found the courage to do so. I know it's tough and like Carmen says, 'this may not be the easiest walk, no one said faith was easy, but when circumstances build around you, lift up your eyes and look to the faithful one, Him who never fails.' =) One day... just one day, I want to have that courage to share and testify! =D

Btw, I've gotten a 2nd email address though I hvn't completely switched over to it. It's kimburger90@hotmail.com. Hehehe! And Sis went for Lasik Surgery! It went smoothly and she's very well now, PTL! She was blind but now she sees! lol! It's $2k, at Paragon. The process is not as gross as it sounds. I've read my sister's blog. Haa! I thought it was spelt Lasic, apparently it's Lasik (sounds so Malay-ish, haha!). Anyway my mom's encouraging me to go for the surgery too, but perhaps after I complete my studies. =) I've also found a job, thks to Joeline. It's tiring but a pretty reasonable and well-paying job. I'm gonna ask my bro to settle the driving lesson stuffs! LOL!

I'm wondering how everyone's doing. Everyone's asking me about class outings. Have I unofficially become the class organiser again? Lol!

Thankful

HAHAHA! I didn't know I had my profile page filled up! There was this random question:

"You've written a hit musical! How will you avoid having fame go to your head?"

And my ans:

"cut off my head so the fame will go to the butt instead."

LOL! I NEVER rmbred writing that! =.="

Anyway I have a sudden outburst of desire to blog once more. I was tagging away at friends' blogs and I noticed many people have changed their blogskins. That's the sign that I should change mine too! =P Everyone's going through HUGE turning points in their lives... be it marriage, finding that other half, embarking on new adventures. I'm so excited myself! Lol! My church, Covenant Evangelical Free Church (Covenant Too @ Woodlands), came out in the newspapers the other day. I did ushering for the 1st service and it's really such a joy and pride! No loans were taken for the $27mil building. It was indeed built by God's grace and provision and He IS faithful! There were even surpluses in the fundings! I really pray that God will use us as instruments to reach out to the people in the northern corridor. I pray that God will instill curiosity in those who do not yet know Him and draw those who have turned away back into His arms again! Myself, included!! I'm sooo thankful for so many things! I'm thankful for my family that they love me at my ugliest, craziest, most embarrassing moments. I'm thankful for Marcus, OH DID I TELL YOU HE GOT BAPTISED!??? Hahahah! I'm thankful for friends like Carmen who nv ceases to encourage me. I'm thankful for Dennis and Jabez and Joel who asks how I am every once in awhile. I'm thankful for Jo for every funny, special and memorable moments we shared. I'm thankful to God for friends he's given to me - Christian friends to encourage and build each other up, non-christian friends so that we might bring them to know You one day. Woooohoooo! I just wanna shout, scream, squeal! Hahahaha!

A few days ago, I was looking for a bible verse. One of my favourites. It was in the book of Psalms. I was actually looking for that verse for a friend. Then something so cool happened! My eyes just led me to another verse on that same page.

"I have strayed like a lost sheep. Seek your servant, for I have not forgotten your commands."

This verse just soften my heart. It was SOOO appropriate and I felt like the answer to everything just popped out! Hahaha! It's so meaningful to me so I just wanna share la. Heheheh! Ok Kim's gotta go back to her work. She's been VERY distracted. Somebody bring out the cane pls.

I'm praying for you. Pray for me too! =)
