October Fun!

We went to Disneyland for my birthday. I LOVE D-land in the fall.  BREAKING NEWS***this was the first time Caroline made it without having an exhaustion melt-down.***  Could it be she's finally out of the terrible twos stage and entering the terrific threes? Only time and many more trips to D-land will tell!

Look at my wonderful, handsome boys! What a fun and relaxing day at the happiest place on earth!

Thanks to my hubby for taking one for the Shoff boy team! THEY GOT SOAKED!

The Shoff girl team is waiting on the dock enjoying the pretty water fall and snapping cute pictures, while we remain perfectly dry!

Hayes and Ty each got to go  see a Padres game with their dad. Dad forgot the camera, but our seats are on the third base line, behind the visitor's dugout so every time a right-handed batter is up we get to be on TV. I wanted to download some footage, but I couldn't figure it out so I gave up.  Since Scott and Caroline didn't get to go to a Padres game we took them on a special outing to see Disney on Ice.

Caroline LOVED it, but Scott would've rather gone to a Padres game! Next year buddy, I PROMISE!
We got to see Lion King, Lilo and Stitch, Little Mermaid and Peter Pan.

We are at the pumpkin patch with Scott's kindergarten class.

Stella, Mckena and Caroline. Two of Scotty's classmates have little sisters Caroline's age. They had so much fun together.

Scott's awesome kindergarten class!

The Big Island 9/10

Getting ready to take off for our sunset volcano voyage.

Drugged up on Dramamine...thank goodness!

I wish I could keep all of the volcanoes straight. There are five on the Big Island: Kohala (extinct), Mauna Kea (dormant), Hualalai (active),  Mauna Loa (active),  Kilauea (active). I don't remember what one this is.

Got our zip line gear on and ready to go! I was soooo nervous. The plane ride didn't bother me a bit b/c I was raised around planes, but this zip lining scared me to death!
I'm getting th hang of it and starting to enjoy it!
Gorgeous!
So by now I AM LOVING IT! Here I am hanging upside down. Pretty brave move for me! It was really beautiful and SO MUCH FUN!
So I was way too chicken to do the swing so I gave up my ticket to Jason. I don't regret it one bit!

We had an amazing time on this beautiful island!

I seriously LOVE these two! Thanks so much for inviting us...it was a fabulous vacation! We need to plan to go again soon!

We did so many fun, amazing things on this trip! My camera died and I forgot my charger. GRRRR! I'm hoping Jason and Lindsey will share some of their pics (hint, hint:). We went snorkeling in the daytime and saw some amazing fish, but the highlight of the trip for me was snorkeling with 8ft manta rays after sunset. Seriously, one of the most surreal things I've experienced. I can see why there are myths of sea monsters...I never imagined that these creatures could get that big. I recommend this to EVERYONE who goes to the Big Island. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!

First day of School '10

All three boys are in the same school. Scott was so excited to be in kindergarten.

Ty in front of his 2nd grade classroom.

Hayes in front of his 4th grade classroom.

Scott is so excited!

I'm struggling a little...okay a LOT! Caroline and I are going to miss him!
So cute!

A little lunchroom orientation.

Here's the big moment. He's going into his classroom and I have to go the other way to my car. I DIDN'T LET HIM SEE ME CRY, but I cried the whole way back to my car.

Sweet Caroline LOVES preschool!

She started to get a little nervous, but that lasted about 2 seconds.

Scott T.'s 5th Birthday

I swear Chris should've been a preschool teacher! He has such a gift for engaging kids and he's a hoot! THEY LOVE HIM! Here they are playing some games before the big...creepy... crawly show.

We ended up with 25 kids and Scott had the time of his life!

My funny little son! I tried to talk him into a Baskin Robins icre cream cake, or a cool...creepy...crawly cake, but he LOVES the Costco cakes so much and he wanted a football with the Chargers colors on it....so that's what he got! It was yummy!

The little blonde girl is Kendra. She is his best friend and he calls her his best girlfriend. :)

He's in pure HEAVEN!
The creepy, crawly lady was absolutely awesome! She had all sorts of creatures and the kids (well most of them) loved it. Scott got to be her special helper and hold the animals while the other kids petted them.

He wasn't so sure about this snake.

Um-hmmm, that is a giant scorpion.

This makes me cringe just looking at it, but look how brave he is.

Turtle--not so scary.

This is an African bullfrog and they are VERY poisionous, but it has been around people enough that apparently he's tame, but still poisionous. The lady told us this is what Jabba the Hut was patterned after. I can totally see it.

Custes little chicken I've ever seen. She was supposed to bring some warm fuzzy creatures, but it was too hot for them to travel in her truck so she was only able to bring one warm fuzzy...a chicken. He was really funny though.

Finally! His very own DSI. You should see this kid play it. Amazing!
We love our little Scott T. Shoff so much! He always keeps us in stitches and we are so grateful that he's our son.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE DUDE!
