im honestly happy with the amount ive studied

i think we shld all take learning differently

i think thats real learning
knowing
finding about as much as possible
and above all
inciting some interest
not memorising
rote learning
i mean

u could say thats the only way to score
well
in that case
id much rather spend my time working towards
intellectualism
knowledge
and an all rounded appreciation of the subjects i like
rather than acing everything
thats my aim really
not to ace
not to mug
but to question more
ask more
about the world around me
and i guess
to try my best

but in my view

spastic standards

kudos to mysterious daring blogger!
well
im in a very
writing sort of mood
perhaps i shall expound on my thoughts
on some very complicated high-brow
social/political/military/economic issue
or maybe i'll wax lyrical again
speak of SUN MOON AND STARS

in hollywood
will you have people speaking phrases like

on another
perhaps more controversial note
i was at kap that day
and well
there was a group of chinese high boys next to us
sec two as well
and they were conversing in chinese
something you commonly associate with
neighbourhood schools and all
but their chinese was fairly impeccable
as in choice of words and all
didnt have that irritating
(yes.i sound elitist.dont mean to be)
drawl
but yeah
they were talking and laughing over
some 'i love you'
message that one of them wrote
and well
naturally
from our side of the table
were the usual
'siddown'
and all the ahem..somewhat sarcastic comments on their behaviour
strange thing is
i realised how awfully weird we must have seemed to them as well
with our english
and the language we used
the way we laughed over things
that might seem childish
to them
what a culture difference

a supposed rich mans school
of arrogant snobs
who shun their 'native language'
are 'bananas'
posers who tuck out shirts
and pull down ties
who supposedly flirt shamelessly
with their supposed counterparts in mgs
the other
a 'communist' school with traditions
that are the brunt of ridicule
of students all over singapore
incredibly cheena students
who speak in chinese and do eveything as such
and supposedly promote communist ideals
and have no social skills whatsoever
well
there you go
perceptions of schools
and i guess ive come to realise
thats what i hate
at the same time though
thats what im guilty of
perception
its strange
i despise all raffelsians
cept for the few nice ones i know
i dismiss all TCH guys at communist buffoons
even though i hardly know one
awful isnt it
a result of school 'nationalism'?
or just a generalisation of the worst of the schools?

he has cancer...lymphomia i think its called
we went to see him today
looked fairly alright
but his mum said he had to undergo
at least 4 cycles of chemo..
sigh..
its gonna be tough..hang on there prawn!

ACPB SEC TWOS ROCK
WE OWN
2-0!!

yup
its been ONE year
since that horrible selection camp
and now im on the other side
haha
its been quite a journey!
well
anyway
it was a real cool
camp
not for them of course
more for me
specially cos of all the friends around me
haha

day1
yep, came late
erm
i came in at cheering
it was quite sad..but oh well, theyre only sec one
and some sec twos
after that was team building
nothing special there
cheering
and vespers!
haha
1st night vespers went pretty well
kudos to arthur, andrew and jeremy!
yeah
night games after that
haha
axis vs allies
that was when the famous
'thats not very nice' came up
and oh
during the first cheering
"left left right right, whats this? 5566 issit?"

needless to say
all the instructors had to desperately cover our faces after that
even yi yang
john even ran out of the room

went back after that

day2
ahh
well
killer day
the nominees has council talk

ahem
council cheering

they were murdered

and after lunch

the sec ones played each other first
and then..
semi final one

woohoo
whooped them good we did!

our dedicated cheerleading squad!

we faced the s3s

2-0 scoreline

needless to say everyone was shocked

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

vespers was amazing
really felt God's presence there

the altar call was made
and SO many people responded!
praise God!

night games was mundane
slept at the space frame while guarding torches

memorable indeed

i still remember the stayover
during the march hols
one night
of pure hard work

laughing

all together
and we all got in

that time

when we wasted 4 hours of our lives

just waiting for the teams to come
