happy niu year!

did anyone miss me? wow, this must be the longest period i did not blog man!

i was super busy since my last entry, due to different committments. before cny, i was busy buying food, decorating the house, tidying my room, running so many errands for my mum till the eve of cny.. lets not jump into that. i will bore you guys and i am so lazy to list what i've done.

before i start on cny, i shall blog about zehou's 21st party! (eve of cny eve, haha)

we were happily eating (cuz it was 8+ and all of us were damn hungry) until zehou's uncle walked to kenneth.

(semi-drunk) uncle: "hey boy! you never drink?"
kenneth: "umm, i'm okay."
uncle: "no lah! boy must drink mah!"
kenneth: "haha no its okay"
uncle: *puts his hand into kenneth's noodles and PINCHED THEM!*
kenneth, me, esther, kah, sharon: *eyes damn big*
uncle: "oops, sorry. i thought it is ikan billis" *puts hand into pocket, w/o noodles*

all of us cannot believe our eyes.. and i helped kenneth to separate the "pinched" portion away but kenneth said the following.

ken: "its ok, i've eaten things DIRTIER than that!" *immediately after saying that, his eyes became damn big cuz the same uncle was standing vvvv near to us* (kenneth's expression was priceless)*

see how hard they laughed at his expression, haha!

while all of us continued eating at the same dining table, weikang reached and gave all of us "hi-5"! he started with kenneth, me, sharon, then SOMEONE! the 'someone' is actually someone's maid sitting with us for dinner but weikang's was so shock cuz he almost 'hi-5' with her! the scene was damn comical weikang was damn embarrassed... lol. well it was good to see him again after so long!

after our dinner, we started doing lame things like taking lame photos and playing cards (asshole daidee)

and it was time to cut the cake!! (i was standing at the best spot!)

reunion dinner on cny eve was damn sad. the meal is much worse than my normal days! this is cuz there are only 4 pple in the family this year and i asked my mum to save all the trouble.. just cook some simple dishes as she need to cook a storm the next day (chu 1) cuz all my maternal relatives are coming over to my place. to prepare for the "annual big reunion dinner". my dad bought 3 trolleys of food!! not kidding... my house has those "market" trolleys and we transported our food 3 times (cuz my block is undergoing lift upgrading)! if we did not have the trolley we would probably have died...

this is just A VERY VERY SMALL PART of what my dad bought in total. just imagine his car boot, back passenger seats and front passenger seat PLUS the leg space, ALL FULL. that WAS the amount of food my dad bought, probably wiping 1/2 the market.

on chu 1, i woke up at 12pm (lol) cuz no one visited my house until about 3 when i started helping my mum with the food. my relatives started streaming in at about 4 plus and during the peak my house has near to 40 pple!! *scream*

oh, my overweight cousin dropped by for a while and she still remembers me! *happy* i played with her for a while and took some R(A) shots of her! hahahaha! *evil cousin*

she is 15-20kg i think. i cannot lift her up more than 4 times at one go. hahahaha!

okay, i stopped taking pictures cuz i was busy eating (one of the last to eat) and GAMBLING. how can i not gamble during cny!!! but this year, i gambled a lot lesser compared to last year. HOWEVER, my earnings increased! hahahaha.. practically i wiped out everyone's money this year.. although the maximum bet is $2. i felt so bad... i am such a bad cousin (again). i won about $80 but lost to my elder cousin $10 at mahjong.. but i learnt a valuable lesson!

after gambling for a while, we started to lao yu sheng!

this year, my mum and i heed cheng cheng's suggestion (zeng guo cheng, the taiwanese cooking show host) as he introduced "fruits yusheng" and everyone commented it tasted so good! i lovvvvve it man! mama we must do it again next year! hahahaha!

chu 2 was a quiet affair except 3 familes (my elder cousins, whose kids are as old as me) from my papa's side came over to my house for a short while..

chu 3, my dad's slibings came :s (sorry for that expression i cannot help it)

chu 4.. BACK TO SCHOOL! school was hectic.. mostly due to my stupid english module (which i have to take cuz i failed QET) as the teacher is INSANE. i cannot believe it. time passed so slowly but the teacher went through everything even slower.. it just makes everything more lethal than it was. class ended at 4pm but i have my YEP meeting at 8pm so i stayed in computer lab and rot for a few hours! was hoping to get some (home) work done but in the end all the time i spent were on YEP stuff... during the meeting, i was quite pissed off regarding many things but i kept quiet, agreed to everything because i know if i argue, my YEP leader will be stucked in between. i left school at 10pm and reached home at 11.30pm... AND I DID THE REMAINING WORK UNTIL 3AM!!!

and today, i had my tutorial and the stupid english tutorial again. today, the teacher is even more crazy than yesterday. she reminded me of secondary school days which teachers = irritants! she suddenly called one of my classmate and ordered him to STAND NEXT TO THE WALL CUZ HE IS DOZING OFF!!! omg when was the last time you heard your teacher saying that to your classmate?? secondary 2? omg.. and the tutor seems to hate my friend (a.k.a partner in class) so i have to act diligent in class... i cannot imagine myself being stucked in that class for another 10 weeks!!! that is another 40 hours of her!!!!

anyway, i invited the cheapos plus samantha and aifung for dinner today at my house. played ban luck with ranitha and it was damn funny!

i went back to school yesterday for my YEP welcome tea and met my team mates! i must say that there are quite a lot who are "crazy" and fun-loving! after looking at the photos from the leader's (william) recce trip there, all of us are damn excited to go there! but the 7 hour bus ride is kinda turn off...... hahaha

the welcome tea lasted 5 hours! we started introducing ourselves, then played some bonding games like telling weird stuff about us to each other, also also some little secrets of ourselves to the others. we were supposed to say 2 truth and 1 lie, and my partner is suppose to guess the lie but she didnt guess correctly. the others were surprised at my answer too. hahaha. i said,

"i'm afraid to take the lift"
"i'm afraid to take the plane"
"i'm a good swimmer"

anyway, the rest were briefing, briefing and more briefing. it was quite okay until all of us got hungry.. (9-2pm leh!) but our thoughtful welfare made sandwiches and sausages for us.. we only started stuffing ourselves with food at 1pm. by the time, no one was listening to the briefing :D

anyway, my sister and bro-in-law went over to nus to fetch me to town to make our specs for the new year! i'm so happy cuz i found a pair of geeky specs i like and it only cost me $70!!!!!*screams*

after that, wanted to watch red cliff 2 but my sister decided to get some clothes for cny cuz both of us have yet to get anything. shopped at taka, far east, shaw house.. found nothing and gave up. went back to her place around 7pm for steamboat! muahahaha.. it is just a very casual and simple meal cuz we threw whatever there is in her fridge. we didnt even bother to cook any rice! we just throw maggi mee in.. that was how CASUAL the whole thing was. but we had some high quality food like beef :D

after the dinner, we watched 'rumour has it' by jennifer aniston. OMG THE MOVIE IS SO BORING. initially we were not that tired but after watching 35 mins i couldnt take it and lost my concentration.. only reached home at about 11.15 to catch some soccer and luckily man u scored on the 90th min by who-i-regard-as-a-flop. ooooops :D

and today, my ex-maid came to my house and do the cleaning for us.. we are still keeping contact with her and she will go to my sister's place once a week to tidy the house for her. i think both my ex-maids very poor thing cuz both of them have horrible husbands. whatever they earned over here are sent back to their home but their idiotic husbands used the money to flirt with other women.. and some even ran off with the money! hai. and now this maid of mine can only return back to indonesia 2 years later (the last time she went back was 2 years ago, and usually they will go back once every 2 years) but cuz she needs to earn more money for her kids back there, she is forfeiting the trip this year. imagine she will not see her kids for 4 years!

ok enough of depressing things. but it makes me treasure whatever i have now even more.

ohhh yeah i went ikoi on thurs!

i chose the tatami seats (cuz huiqing told me there is) but it is so troublesome. have to take off my shoes.. luckily i'm not wearing some ugly/smelly shoes hahahah!

this is their menu.. although u find it very little but all of those i tried are nice! in fact, they will serve you complimentary stuff not in the menu..

for example..

this salmon with a sour sauce. i find the sauce funny-tasting but nonetheless i finished it cuz it was the first dish and i starved myself the night and the morning for the buffet! hahahaha!

paiseh, i know there are many photos with complimentary items but u can see the complimentary items they give are good stuff! we ordered other things like cooked salmon (my favourite that day) but we didnt try any sushi hahahaha (limit carbo intake)

it is about $39 per person after taxes and everything. i think it is quite a quality japanese meal! if you want to go, jio me ok? lunch is 11.30-2.30pm, dinner is 6-11pm. however, dinner is always full and lunch is hardly half-filled. the restaurant is quite small and it is situated inside miramar hotel!

oh yeah i forgot to blog about rani's farewell too!

ended class at 5pm (history.. zzzz) to join xiu, kim and liqing to clementi bookstore to get their textbooks. then bounced the train to boonlay to guarantee a seat.. and luckily we had cuz it is so crowded!

by the time we reach there.. all of us were hungry ghosts. hopped over to popeye for a very fulfilling dinner!

i don't think you guys look cui leh, i think quite pretty mah!

*claps for me* i finished 2 piece chicken all by myself!!!!! the drink and the side too!!!!!

after that, we saw rani! she had some friends sending her off too but we keep ourselves very entertained by singing cny songs in the middle of departure hall..

at about 10pm, huiting sent rani in and brought her to her gate.. while waiting for huiting, we saw a very cute japanese boy named riko!

okay, thats all i have for today. i'm very tired zzzz and i have early lecture tml. and i MIGHT have to go and queue for the clementi bak kwa for my sister and mother tml... *sad life*

sorry i forgot to say that my laptop's cd-rom drive suddenly died on me. now i cannot rip/install anything from the cd drive = cannot burn anything. although i do have another desktop at home, it is going to be thrown away any moment cuz.. problems lots lots. sian..... just when i thought my laptop can last me for at least 1 more year..

but i think i will bring it for servicing and see how.. too lazy to bring to acer service centre which is at bloody jurong... :s
