Missing in Action

My week is all turned upside down, the boss has gone to Fiji for a few days so I'm working (EEEEK) on my days off.  No cards have been made at all! My Crafty Tart challenge page has been finished and two Sooky Stackhouse books have been finished!LOL! 

 My furkids have got their daddy home this week, now he is back on shiftwork , they have him home alot more during the day... so we're all happy with that. Here is a pic of Riley taken the other day, ( yes we have had some sunshine, tho not enough!) with his Wilbur warthog that grunts when he's squeezed. He's toy mad, so I can't resist buying him all the cutest dog toys!

 PS  I made a mistake with the remotes the other day, didn't count the video one, so there are SEVEN in the lounge!  I know how to co-ordinate THREE of them now...!!!!!!!!

Masking

Right, the challenge this week on Stampin for the weekend is masking of two or more stamps. Have you any idea how hard it is to get Tilda sitting on the stool and not levitating?!!LOL! After several attempts we actually made contact. Paper and card and sentiment is all SU , distressed with antique linen.  Made the charm dangle up myself. Flowers random.

Had fun with our class last night at the hall, even got to make a mini album myself with a leftover kit. Very cute, thanks for doing all the cutting on those Trace, all those fiddly bits!

 Right, have had driving lessons on the remotes to our TV, amp, dvd player in the lounge so I can watch Twilight again, this time with surround sound! Why do men have to make things so complicated? There were six remotes there the other night!!!!!?!!!! and I decided not to even go there!ROTFLMAO! At least now he has condensed it all down to two remotes so I can use it!

Colour Throwdown

The colour throwdown challenge is Certainly Celery, Choc chip and Perfect plum, some of my fav colours so threw this together last night. Papers are a mix , flowers bought last weekend, sentiment, ribbon (not sure how I tied such a perfect bow!LOL!)  and cardstock is SU. Image is another from Trace, not sure who she is but thanks Trace. She is coloured with copics. Can't really see in this photo but I put the purple card thru the cuttlebug. 

  Now, despite it being a beautiful day outside, once I get the rest of the washing out I'm going to try a scrapbook page for Crafty Tart innovations challenge. 

More Doodles

This card is another for the Doodle Palace challenge, using a sketch provided, with any image you like. Thought this one given to me by Trace might fit the size of the frame so thats what I used!LOL! Papers are BG sugared, cardstock is SU, swirk is Kaisercraft, flowers random and frame cut with nesties.

Gav arrived home from Wellington with a little Holden Astra he bought on TradeMe, we've had fun zipping around in it. Took the dogs to the cemetery for a run, went out to a late lunch to use a voucher I've had for 8 months!!( no, we don't eat out alot!). The afternoon turned nasty so we snuggled inside toasty warm and I unpacked all my goodies from Senz and made a couple of cards. Bliss!

Tea Party

We had so much fun at the Tea shop in Botany Downs!  We all bought Japanese teapots and cups and various flavours of tea after sniffing them all( MMMMMmmmm Green rose!!!)  and were given lots of little samples by the lovely Sam ,  to take back to the motel and try. Yep, we had a tea party, and plan on another this weekend, to try the ones we didn't get to last weekend!  If you're ever in Botany Downs and like tea , head to T2 for a treat! 

Doodles

Too many days away from playing, I found it hard to get back into my room and start digging around amongst all my stuff....still haven't unpacked my goodies from SENZ!

Thought I should try and get some of the challenges done though so this one is Harley under the blanket from Doodle Palace for their first ever challenge. Hope I'm not too late! The challenge was to use the colours on their blog and add flourishes and bling.  Harley is coloured with copics, card is SU , paper is BG and MME. Flourishes cut with spellbinders ( not ringbinders as Tracy's husband wanted to call them!!!) . 

Home at last!

What a long 3 days! We shopped, we shopped and we shopped! Left at 6.30am Friday, got to Hamilton and got lost...got to Auckland and shopped and bought mega pieces of lace at Arthurs Emporium, then off to SENZ Saturday and met the lovely ladies from Crafty Tart, Kate, Debbie and Melissa  .  Sunday back to SENZ for last purchases, and to say goodbye to all our new friends . Kate  tried hard to send us off with lots of food!!! but if she could've seen what we'd bought for the weekend...!LOL!  I won't mention Denise's lolly box either...!!

 Got lost on our way home, missed the turnoff out of Hamilton and ended up in Cambridge. Sigh. Made it home safely tho, for lots of excited doggy kisses and cuddles. Missed my babies.

2 more Sleeps!!!

Yep, counting them down,( who says only kids count down sleeps, we colour in too, like 5 year olds!LOL)  leaving here early Friday morning for a girls weekend away, checking out scrapbooking shops, pet shops ( for Marise & I ) , the cheesecake shop( Yummy!) and SENZ of course !! Good thing we're taking Denise's van....

 Saturday night we'll be relaxing with a bottle of Baileys, watching the Twilight DVD, and rummaging through all the goodies we've bought.

This is another card I did for the Crafty Tart card swap, using Kaisercraft papers, Su card and ribbon, my cute new puddy tat from Magnolia (would've 3D'd it but the envelope was huge enough already, sending off 12 cards!) . 

Strawberries & Chocolate

The challenge this week on Stampin for the weekend is strawberries and chocolate. There's my strawberry on the card, I ate the chocolate... !

Our house is back to normal, Riley's girlfriend has gone home, he's a wee bit sad but he's eating again now!Never seen anything put him off his food before but lovesickness!LOL! Now we just gotta wait and see if he's really done the job...will there be baby ginga's in 63 days time?

Need some sleep!

Gemma goes home today..hope Riley settles tonight! Last night the little toad kept whining for her. Tried moving him to another room, he got louder, took him out to the shed, he screeched!LOL! Ended up that I moved into the spare room with ALL the dogs and we all settled , till the cat tried to sleep on my chest. He's a big heavy boy, all 6.6kg, I couldn't breathe, so had to chuck him out of the room.  Riley was quite happy to snuggle, as long as Gemma was there too! Aargh!!

 Next card for the swap is another Tilda, on random paper from my leftover pieces.  The card and filigree brads are SU

Number Two

Next card for the crafty tart card swap is one using one of my new Tildas ( isn't she cute?) and kaisercraft Duchess papers. Coloured with copics, random flowers and SU cardstock. Dewdrops added also. 

Riley has been a busy boy, he's worn out now!So am I from supervising...don't think I'll get into dog breeding, too much to worry about!

Bliss

I have time to myself...well I did till Tracy convinced me to join in a card swap!!  Decided I would try and combine them with some challenges. So , first is my High hopes entry, lots of dots. This is a favourite image, the carrot express. It is coloured with copics and twinkling H2O's. the paper is a mixture including SU and whatever spotty stuff I could find.

  Riley is a man! LOL!  He has a girlfriend here to make puppies with and he's figuring out what he's sposed to do. Don't think he'll be able to go back to Camilla, his gorilla, when Gemma leaves!!LOL. Gav was a bit worried yesterday that Riley might be gay, cos they played together, but that was it!

Onto the last Twilight book now....what will I read when I've finished that?!  Nothing will compare!!LOL!

Liquorice Allsorts!!!

Good grief...I like liquorice allsorts occasionally but didn't mean my card to look like one!LOL!   Thought I'd try Kimmi's sketch for stampin for the weekend, used my new BG June bug paper. Hmmm. Maybe too much black....

  I also discovered something quite useful when I was colouring my yellow flower with copics. DON'T handle your damp flowers when you have cuts on your fingers! Ouch! Alcohol stings!

Card is SU, sentiment is SU, brads are BG, cut the circles with nesties. Image is a magnolia, I think she's pretty cute.

 We have Gav's daughter Hazel and her friend Sophie here from Auckland for a few days. Gee, I feel like a dwarf, Haze is SOOOOOOO tall!LOL.  Gav has taken them up the mountain to slide in some snow. I decided to hibernate for the day.

Its Over!

Finally, my time is my own....time to read some more Twilight! The show was very successful, though Saturday was a very long day, there at 7am and not home till 7pm.  The rain yesterday was constant so luckily we were inside the events centre! There was still mud everywhere tho.....YUK! Some of the dogs were filthy! I can just imagine what the insides of all those vehicles were like last night!LOL!

 This card I have just finished (after posting all the results) for the Papertake Weekly challenge. The dragon is a Dustin Pike digistamp, coloured with copics and distressed,  the papers are BG ambrosia, the card is SU. Flowers and buttons from stash and ric rac from Trace. 

Big weekend

Yep, its our big show this weekend, I'll be sitting at the laptop all the time, entering results, printing out certificates , and occasionally running my dog ( Vinnie that is, Riley is being left at home!!)  Lots of coffee will be consumed....

 Thought I'd take a few minutes for myself now before the madness really starts and make a card for the Sugar Bowl challenge. Its a sketch , with sparkle added. Have used all SU papers and card, image is a GG coloured with copics. Flowers are random, rhinestones by Kaisercraft. There is a bit of stickles on her boots but you can't really see it , not a great photo.
