Introducing Baby Gideon

We went to the hospital on Wed. so I could be induced. After about 5 1/2 hours our new baby was born. He weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. and was 19 inches long.
Alayna liked him for a little while and then handed him off to her aunt Amy.
Grandpa and Grandma came to the hospital!
We are glad to be home and enjoying our new baby. And not sleeping at night. That is one of the joys of having a newborn.

Pony Ride

Alayna loves "neigh-neigh's"!Alayna got to ride a pony on Monday. She did a good job.
Thanks to the ward nursery leader-Carol.
We are waiting for more pictures of her riding a horse at our bishop's house during my baby shower last Saturday.

Alayna found the Pacifiers

The other day Alayna was playing in her room and found the pacifiers. She never used the pacifiers as an infant, yet now they are great. I think she has seen her baby cousin using the pacifier, so they are new and interesting. This is her at nap time. (she had four with her) She doesn't carry the pacifier around and I don't think this will become a habit.

Home made tents

Did you make blanket tents as a kid? Well one day we were visiting the Nally's and they had made blanket tents. So now we get to make "tents". Alayna loves to play under the blankets. Her dad doesn't' mind making the tents for her. They are watching a movie in the tent right now! Alayna carried the little sofa she got for Christmas to the tent by herself.

White Tanks

We had a family activity at the White Tanks regional park yesterday. The weather was beautiful, in the 70's. So nice to live in the Phoenix area this time for the year. I even went for a hike or walk around the longer loop. At nine months pregnant I am ready to have this baby. My doctor said that walking would help. Everyone else went all the way to the Waterfall (translation AZ drip). We had soup and bread bowls. It was a good afternoon to be outside.
Once the sunset things got a little cooler, we had to make a fire.
Jaxon and Annabelle like sitting in the little chairs.
The two cousins, Annabelle and Alayna; plus their moms.

Harmonica

David was given his grandfather's harmonica for Christmas, so one night after bathes Alayna spent some time playing the harmonica. A good instrument for a toddler.
We getting ready for the talent show!

This is Alayna

I want to let everyone know that mom has been behind on her posting, so I took over the computer and have made these posts, even though it says my mom made the posts. Mom is too busy getting ready for a baby.

Bowling

Alayna had a fun time clapping as everyone was bowling.

Then it was her turn. She had to pick her bowling ball.

Then she let her Daddy help her push the ball down the lane. With the help of the ramp.Thank you Alesia and family for inviting all of us to New Years Day bowling.

Uncle Phil

Alayna loves her uncle Phil, like many of her cousins! He can make her laugh like no one else.

Ring around the rosies

Alayna learned how to play Ring a Round the Posies in Nursery at church. So one day at home she keeps saying "a pocket, a pocket". I finally figured out what she wanted and played with her. But being 8 months pregnant, I don't fall down very well so she will squat like me. David is better at the game than me. And so are her cousins.

My First Visit to Ikea

This past week I went to Ikea with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. I was curious what this huge store had to offer. We walked and shopped and ate, then it was time to go down stairs for more shopping. It was way past Alayna's nap time so here she is....

Aunt Tracy put the pillows around her and just kept walking. I cant believe she feel asleep. New meaning to shop until you "drop".

She slept all the way back to grandma's house.
