It's December, right?

Don't get me wrong, I love the 70 degree weather, but in September and October and even a little in November is fine. But December? Well, it's here whether I want it to be or not, so Morgan and I went and enjoyed it.
And Morgan really did enjoy it. And of course she is climbing on whatever Dustin brought home the other day.

We Have a Climber in the Family

She has great upper body strength!
She loves clean clothes!

She climbed on the water, then to the Special K box, then to the tin can. I guess its time to clean the pantry.

Thank goodness she's little enough that an empty rice cooker box holds her

She loves to climb on the fireplace to get to the stockings. Then when she gets bored, she'll climb on the couch, then climb on the chest.

I wish I could say she hasn't fallen off anything, but unfortunately she has. But it only phases her for about a minute until she gets some love, then she's back climbing. I just realized that the first 4 pictures are all from the same day. That must have been a busy day!

Thanksgiving

We went to Utah for Thanksgiving this year. We normally leave Wed. night and get there Thurs. morning because I normally have class on Wed. But this year, both of my classes were cancelled on Wed., so we were able to leave Tues. night.

Morgan loved playing with her cousins, especially Dallin who is 4 months older. She loved to give him hugs and touch his face. She even pinched his cheeks. I may need to try and not pinch hers as much. I was obviously paying more attention to Dallin and Morgan to notice that I cut my sisters head off.

Do you think we were a little worried about Morgan being too cold? It was pretty hard to buckle her in her car seat with her big coat. But at least she was warm. Dustin wanted to buy her long johns, but I thought that might be a little overboard. The highs were in the 50's, so it wasn't extremely cold.

We went over to my brother's house that they just bought and played games with his family. Morgan had emptied the bucket of toys Alison got out for her, and then hopped in. So Dustin and Connor decided to push her. She loved it!

Morgan hung out with Aunt Leah quite a bit. Dustin thinks it's because we sound alike, but I think it's because Morgan loves her Aunt Leah. And yes, that is a pigtail sticking out of her hat.

Soon after I took the picture above, Morgan decided to head dive off of the bottom step. She even had gravel stuck in her forehead. Needless to say I was very scared. This is the first time that Morgan has hurt herself and there has been blood. She cried until she found a flyswatter. I guess we should have given it to her earlier. This is right after we put the bandaids on her and we obviously hadn't cleaned her face very well.

This picture is just funny. Eddie brought Leah a bag of cranberries, and as soon as she put some on the coffee table, all three kids went straight for them. You can see the two puncture wounds on Morgan's head. They are both healing up nicely. And, she is wearing her ASU Cheerleader outfit. Too bad they didn't win, but BYU did beat U of U. YEAH!!

The Phantom of the Opera

Last night, Dustin and I went to Phantom of the Opera with our friends, Jason and Laurissa. It was awesome! We went 4 1/2 years ago when it was here, and loved it, and this was the first time it was back at Gammage (that we know of), so we were very excited. I'm sure many of you have seen the movie, but if you haven't seen the play, I suggest going. It is great!

P.S. I know this picture makes me look pregnant, but I'm not.

Christmas Tree

We are leaving on Tuesday for Utah, so we decided to put the Christmas decorations up yesterday while Morgan was napping. We thought she would really like the lights, but she relly wasn't interested in the tree when she first woke up.

Then about half an hour later, she started going for the plastic balls. Here she is trying to grab two at once.

She ended up carrying these balls around the majority of the day.

Then when she got bored, she went and grabbed a couple more ornaments. Don't worry, we only put non-breakable ornaments down at her level. Now the trick is finding where she hides the ornaments once she's done playing with them.

Pigtails

My friend Lauren mentioned that Morgan's hair was long enough to do pigtails. So we decided to try it out. They're very little, but it works. I also found out, that if I give her a treat or do it right after she wakes up, that she will sit still long enough to do both.

Or, if I want to do something quick, I just do one at the top.

Happy Halloween!

This year we went to our ward's Trunk-or-Treat. Morgan kept staring at all the scary costumes and would not let us put her down until we were cleaning up and all the scary monsters were gone.

Dustin decorated the bed of the truck and did a great job. We had a black light which made the web glow and Dustin brought some computer speakers and cd player and had scary sounds playing.

She was the cutest ballerina. Afterwards we went to our friends, the Patch's, and played games while the babies slept. It was a very fun and tiring evening.

One Year Already?!

Morgan's birthday was yesterday. I love my sweet little Morgan. It's fun to look back at all the pictures and remember her being that little and skinny when she was first born. Then when she just had the chunkiest thighs and arms. And of course those squeezable cheeks! She still has squeezable cheeks, but they are definately not as chubby as before.

Party Time!

Morgan's birthday isn't until next Tues, but we had her party on Saturday because my parents, and a few of my siblings came down for their fall break.

Of course like my one year olds, Morgan wanted to touch the flame not blow it out.
She wasn't quite sure what to do with the cake, so I put her hand in the icing hoping she would start to dig in...

And she did! She even somehow got icing on the back of her leg.

I did struggle a little with getting her to look at what she got. Dustin said he's going to get her a box full of wrapping paper for Christmas.

I had to post this picture because her face is just too cute. Morgan loves to sweep, so now she has a broom just her size to help me out. Thanks Aunt Darbi.

I do have another little present for her to open next week, but I think we might skip the cake.

Dustin's Birthday

Dustin's birthday was last Saturday. My aunt does work for 5 Arts Circle and every year they invite their members and their families, and also my aunt and her office to the zoo. Then my aunt invites us. We've gone before and absolutely loved it! It's fun because you get in free and after the tour (which is different every year) you get to spend as much time at the zoo as you like. This year we saw the giraffes and were able to feed them for free! Which is awesome because it's $3/person. They have bisucuits for the adults to feed them since you have to put them on your hand and lay it flat. The giraffe actually slobbered on Dustin's hand. It was gross, but funny. Don't worry, they had hand sanitizer for everyone. Then they give lettuce leaves to the kids. As soon as the worker put the lettuce in Morgan's hand the giraffe snatched it up, so Dustin only got an after picture. You can tell from Morgan's face that she got a little scared, and she started crying soon after that.

Here are Morgan and Dustin after they were looking at the tiger.
Morgan helped Daddy open his present since she knew he couldn't do it on his own. I don't think she will have any problems with opening up her own presents.

What Morgan Has Been Up To

So, I've been wanting to post these pictures for awhile now because they are just too cute! I've been so busy and I really don't have the time now, but I'm going to post them anyways.

Morgan is so good at putting her blocks away. I hope that she is always this good at putting her toys away. You can see how proud she is of herself.

The other day I was laying on the couch doing homework while Morgan was playing. All of a sudden I heard this grunting. I couldn't figure out where she was. Then I saw movement under the futon...

She wanted her ball, so instead of going underneath the futon, she went behind it then got stuck.

Morgan loves the pantry and loves to grab whatever she can and throw it on the floor. As you can see, she thought she was in the clear, but mommy is never very far behind. I've moved all the glass and now all the aluminum cans to the upper shelfs.

Also, she has learned how to get outside on her own and wants to go outside all the time. I've been leaving the patio door open so she can go in and out all she wants.

Halloween Crafts

I am definitely not what you would call "crafty." The only crafts I have made have been at enrichment activities where you don't have to do much. My friend's cousin had made Halloween blocks and she wanted to make them. I have no Halloween decorations, so I thought I would make them with her. I cut the wood, and Laurissa cut the vinyl.

They really weren't difficult to make. Now, I need to come up with something for Thanksgiving.

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream!

I have created a monster! Yesterday I was eating ice cream and Morgan came over to me wanting some. So I thought I would just give her a little bit. Then today, I was eating ice cream and Morgan came over to me wanting some. I told her "no" and she started screaming. Finally I just gave her the little bit I had left because she was screaming so loud and I was trying to talk on the phone. It's not that great of a picture because Morgan kept walking towards me until she had me up against the wall in the pantry.

We're in Trouble!

I should have posted this two weeks ago, but I've been busy with getting ready for school. And of course with Morgan. So, anyways, Morgan took her first steps! That's right, her first steps!

Here is a cute video that I took of her with her walker. I guess it's just too hard to turn around. What a cutie!! (I took this video with my phone, so I think that's why it's so dark.)

Hangin' with the Cousins

We've been back from Utah for a week now and last week was just so busy that I didn't get a chance to post. We had a great time visiting with everyone. Morgan had so much fun playing with all her cousins.

Eddie, Dallin, Tehya, and Morgan were always getting in the ice. Grandpa didn't like it very much, but you who can say "no" to those cute faces.
We celebrated Dallin's 1st birthday.

As you can see, he didn't want to blow out the candle, he wanted to touch it.

Alison brought over Tehya's walker for Morgan. She wasn't interested in walking with it, she just wanted to play with all the fun toys on the front.

We were so happy that we were able to be there as my brother, Brad, and his wife, Dana, went through the Mt. Timpanogas Temple and were sealed. It was so beautiful and we are so happy for them. Hopefully when we are there for Thanksgiving, my sister, Emily, and her husband, Wagner, will go through the temple, so we can be there for that.

Morgan loved to steal Grandpa's pens. She is letting him know that she won't give the pen back unless he gives her more trix. Grandpa loved to sneak her trix for breakfast when I wasn't looking.

It wouldn't be a true vacation unless Dustin tortured Connor at least once.

It took Morgan a few days, but she found the lazy susan. I am happy to report that she did not once drop a can on her toes. But she did come close many times.

My parent's live really close to the Provo Canyon, so we went on a couple bike rides. Here are the kids all ready to go. Next time, we need to put something soft on either side of Morgan, so when she falls asleep she has something to lean on.

P.S. Dustin just posted some pictures on his blog that he took that are really cool. And, some that will make you laugh.
