Time flies!

Wow! It has been a year and a half since I posted anything here! Does anyone even still look at blogs?

He's here!

Boden Robert Taylor

*8lbs.  20 inches*
The kids were excited to get to see him...D was a tad nervous at first but was cute after a minute. She
keeps calling him "her baby Boden" She is really kindof smitten with him!
Super fun to finally have him here! I wasn't a super patient person that last month! This one was harder on me! But he sure is  a sweet little guy!
Still can't believe I have 4 kiddos! Craziness!

Change is in the Air!

As many of you already know we have been on the ever fun hunt for a job. This is always a tedious and hard task especially in our amazing economy! So we set out pretty hard on the hunt a couple of weeks ago...we applied to at least seven positions. Several were with companies other then insurance companies but the bulk we applied to insurance companies that we heard were hiring.  Last week Derek got a call from one of the insurance companies and set up a phone interview for Monday of this week. Then he got a call on Monday from another one to set up another phone interview for Today. And we applied for one of the insurance companies on Thurs. of last week and they also called him to set up a face to face interview for Wednesday of this week. I am feeling so grateful for these interviews... It just confirms to us (among other things) that it is time for us to leave this company! Not only will the environment of his new office already prove to be a million times better in any of these he's applied for but they will pay him more right off the bat! Seriously they need to have a rude awakening of the problems they have in their office and start treating their educated employees (which is everyone!) better.  So I am excited for Derek to have a better opportunity some where else. I feel so blessed to know that Heavenly Father is mindful of us and wants and is helping us through this past few years of struggle with his job. I will be so grateful to get my husband back...the stressed out one to the max and breaking point is not one that I am particularly super fond of.  I love him dearly and will be so grateful to have him be happy! So there it is ... that's whats new with us and I will stop venting now!

SiCk aNd TiReD!

For the end of January and the whole month of February someone (usually multiple people at a time) have been sick in our family! So we are sick and tired of being sick and tired!!! And poor baby D has had a cold twice now plus the fun of teething (yes, almost two and still teething!!) I am on my second head cold neither time has hit me full blown which is usually the case when everyone else is sick.  I usually get it just enough to make me feel lousy.  So needless to say my house has been neglected and is in bad shape. Hopefully, next week we will all be back to normal and I can get going on my house! So I have watched Toy Story 1,2,and 3 like a million times (D is really starting to get into movies, not that she sits through the whole thing but she loves to get the movies out and for me to put it in.) She has also watched the Baby Einsteins numbers, Leap Frog Letter Factory, and Your Baby Can Read. So hopefully she is getting smarter as we are lazy?! So here's to wishing us all a healthy and productive end to February moving into the month of March. I can't believe it is almost March already!! My baby boy is almost 7! He turns 7 the day of his first state meet so that should be fun, he is super excited! Anyway, that is all for now for the Taylor news!:)

Erin, this is for you!

Ok Erin...Here are the ones that I have already made.
But I can make whatever you want!
I can make it pieced or one solid piece.
You can pick out some fabric you like or
I can pick out some for you and get it made up.
Really I can do whatever and don't feel obligated to either of these but you
are more then welcome to either if you like them:)
Solid pice of fabric both front and back with ric rac accents

Laundry baskets, books and shirts off!

Miss D is now 20 months old!!!
What! where has the time gone?
I swear with each kid they grow up
faster and faster then the one before!
Slow down sweetie...whats the rush!?
She love to play with the laundry basket...
she gathers all her goods and pushes it around
quite pleased with her self!
This time it was the stuffed animals:)

Books, books, books...can we get enough of the books?
Reading with mommy while brother takes a picture.

This is how we find her most mornings and after naps too! I did this and have a picture of it...one of these days I will post them side by side...Like mother like daughter I guess:)
And here she is with her laundry basket and go figure her whole shelf of books!
This one she couldn't push around as easily!
What a character you are and a little messy maker as well!
We all adore you to pieces little miss muffet!

Kasen's first Intersquad meet!

Here is Kasen on the parallel bars in his first Intersquad Meet. He got a 14.6 on this event! He had to score an 80 in the All around in order to compete in all the sanctioned meets...he got and 80.9:)
Good Job Kasen! He was so excited that he qualified!

What we've been up to?

Carseat cover I made for a friend with all the goods...daiper tote, snugglie, burpies and a headband.
Story time before dad leaves for work! This girl LOVES her books!!! She constantly has books in her    hands and has then scattered throughout the house as well!
Scripture tote I made for my nieces birthday
And this is what I walked into the kitchen to find!
Yes...that is my 19 month old ON the counter!
Previous to this picture I found her sitting in her high chair, She climbed right in and sat down!
I figured she got tired of me telling her just a minute dinner is still cooking!
So when I found her here after dinner (right before jammies...hence the naked girlie)
I figured that she climbed in her high chair again and got on the counter.
She was now ready for a treat...She just smiled at me and tried to open the treat jar!
Little stinker monkey!
And this.... this is my Mr. Shaggy!
I had to document the shag before he did his hair for school.
He won't let me cut his hair...something he has going on with grandpa
and mom doesn't get to know?!

Thats all for now!

Jess Stitchin Booth!

So I did it!
I did a boutique booth with the stuff I made.
Granted it was at my boys school carnival,
but I did one!
Baby steps right!
So here is what it looked like...
A bit of a trunk show for skirts and a few bags on top
 My signage...
bow and headband table
Diaper totes and burpies
 a few brooches
and a few budget clutches
One of three carseat covers
I really like how this one turned out
It is a vintage boy toys fabric in black
I paired it with a blue and white stipe...
Love it!
this adorable blanket is one my friend made  with
Deenas wheels fabric...
I really liked it and wanted it ...
until I remembered my boys are 9 and 6
not babies anymore:(
And finally my cute model without her accessorie headband
can you see the blue on her shirt from
one of her three suckers she kept stealing from the booth next to us!
Little thief!
Happy none the less amazingly after being neglected for
most part of the day!
Overall good experience...
Not what I hoped for in sales
but now I know what to expect for next time...
Will there be a next time? \
We will just have to wait and see!
I certainly have inventory that I can now build on for the next time!
