frustration

Aaargh! I want so much to get in shape but am so limited with what I can do. My triple jogger tires are flat and don't stay inflated and need to be fixed. It seems like there is ALWAYS a baby who needs SOMETHING! I have some babysitters who come over but not all the time, and when they come it's always while I take the older kids to their lessons or something. My house is a mess and needs to be cleaned. Haylee has a great "Tae-Bo" DVD but I'm the type of person who wants/needs to get into it for more than 5 mins at a time to break a sweat. I WANT TO WORK OUT!!! My clothes fit everywhere but from my hips to my clavicle and I want to shrink! I'm so willing to do the work, but can't find the alone time. This is so frustrating.

Later the same day...

Of course, my babies are so cute and sweet but I think little Eden is teething because she whines all day long and really has a hard time drifting off to sleep. She does this cute little thing where she purses her lips and blows spit and rolls her "b's," but I think it's a result of her discontent rather than to be cute. I was so relieved today when my mom walked through my front door at about 2:30 p.m. to help! Hooray for a relief pitcher!

Bella is rolling over now! Back to front, front to back! And today Hannah rolled front to back for the first time! Tonight my mom lined them up in front of the TV to watch Dancing With the Stars and they went nuts! They waved their arms and kicked their legs to the music. It was adorable.

But the exercise thing...well, yes, I managed to get that Tae-Bo video done, even though I had to stop 3 or 4 times during it to attend to babies. Someday I'll be able to go to the gym regularly again, and my clothes will fit and my muscle tone will return, right?

Blessing Beauties

You can almost read Eden's thoughts from her little smile, can't you?!

A lapful of lovin'!

Hannah is planning her future...

Bella is such a beauty and so photogenic!

For those of you who are not on my Facebook, here are some of the pictures in their blessing dresses! Beautiful girls!

Bouncy Seat not forgotten

Silly me, I forgot the oh-so-important bouncy seats on my list of detrimental baby gear! These are must-haves from the minute they came home from the hospital! This pic is even the EXACT seat that I received from wonderful friends as part of the group gift at my baby shower last September! Thank you so very much! (The other two I borrowed from my sis-in-laws Anna and Sarah--thank you, too!)

Gear I Can't Live Without

The Exersaucer!!!

The BUMBO CHAIR!

The Boppy Pillow

The Binky (Soothies for our gals)

The Swing (It's worth the $$$ to get the one that swings in both directions!)

I think it's time that I share some pertinent information with you all, especially those of you who peek at my blog and you're expecting triplets. There are some things that I can live without, but these items make life possible because I have 3 of each! The girls have recently begun to play in the exersaucers, and I actually only have 2 right now. So if any of you have a great one I could borrow for a few months...
The bumbo chairs are also a recent addition to our daily routine. They can only sit in them for about 15-20 minutes right now, but I imagine that will get longer as they get stronger.
The swings have been PRICELESS! Need I say more? I have three, and I have needed three and used all three many, many, many times!
And the Boppy pillows? Well, I have had one since my 2nd son was born, and I have used it more in the past 5 months than for the rest of my babies combined! With multiples it's all about where to place a baby so that it feels cozy when you have to attend to another, or take your monthly shower or something like that.
And I know the "Soothie" binky you get in the hospital is unsightly, but my girls love them, and so I love them! They prefer them to any other binky so we're stuck with them. I just wish binky straps were easier to find for them!

Warm Weather Finally!

Look out world...here comes the Tate family!

Tyson on his roller blades

Tanner pushing, Ben on his bike, and Haylee on foot

Dave, Tanner, and Haylee with the babies
We went for a family walk on Conference Sunday between sessions because the stormy Utah weather finally subsided long enough and the sun came out! We had a great walk and we finally snapped a picture of our ENTIRE family together! We are quite a sight coming up the road--traffic moves out of the way! I love this family to pieces. It's so much work to be the mom, but I adore all these children and wouldn't trade any of them for all the riches in the world! Dave and I agree that we have an AWESOME family!

News--April Fool's!

If you checked my blog on April Fool's Day, this is what you saw:

So I'm freaking out and little self-conscious to tell you that we have news. We are expecting again in October. I don't even know what I'm going to do! We're going to have 8 children...what on earth is going on...april fools! Gotcha!

I usually let April 1st pass me by without much ado, but I just couldn't resist! Thanks for being good sports! The truth is, there will be no more Tate children to add to this Tate family. I think this pregnancy aged me about 15 years in mind, body, and spirit, and hopefully someday I will rebound and be myself again. I remember years ago Elder Neal Maxwell performed a sealing in the temple that I had the opportunity to attend. His family-planning advice to the young couple was to have as many children as would maintain the physical, emotional, and mental health of the mother. Good advice, don't you think? (Actually, if I were to really carefully heed this advice, I probably would have stopped after Haylee and Tanner! Oh well, too late now!)
