Wow, it's been 2 years since my last post! Let's see if I can remember how to do this. We celebrated Audrey's birthday on Friday. I don't know where the last two years went. She is still a sweet little doll, but now she talks and sings and changes her clothes 10x/day!
She loves dressing up like a princess. Lately, she wakes in the morning and goes straight to the basement playroom to pick out a costume to wear. "Oh no, where's my glass slipper?" she asks. She loves setting up beds and snacks for all the stuffed animals in the house. She sings songs from Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, especially "Dress up any way you choose..." and "Think about what you're gonna do, then pick the clothes that are right for you!" She loves My Little Pony and Strawberry Shortcake and Cinderella and especially Curious George! Sometimes she pretends to be a dog, barking and picking things up off the floor with her mouth. She loves sneaking into Claire's room and playing with her special things. She loves playing with Ethan's legos and being silly with her brother. And of course she is still faithful to her #1 lovey-- Farrot. (We finally gave up on trying to get her to say "Parrot." It's just not his name.) Here are some pics from the birthday:
Yay, she feel asleep in the car! Time for some guilt-free obsessing over the birthday cake.

Ethan and Claire were super-excited about Audrey's b-day. They helped decorate the living room the night before and gave Audrey her presents at breakfast.
Coloring "Kees George," the model for the cake.

Ethan came home from school and admired my cake. He said it was the coolest cake ever.
I'll take compliments from Ethan any day! Audrey was pretty happy with it, too.
Our friend Faisal was in town and joined us for Audrey's birthday dinner. The kids all loved him... not only did he bring presents for each of them, but he meowed back at Claire.
Presents from Faisal - ear muffs, Concentration and lion hat!
Audrey wasn't sure what to do with her birthday cash... put stickers on it, maybe?
As Claire used to say, "Cheeky meeky squeaky!"
