First Day of School
Tuesday the 28th was the first day of school! Dillon is a sophomore, Jenna is in 8th and Brooke is in 5th!
Summer Vacation
Well, since Dillon has been playing Legion ball all summer, we kept putting off a family vacation. We finally decided that we had better go on one or else we wouldn't get it done. We left Friday morning and drove to Lagoon. We spent the day there and had a great time. Saturday we went to Salt Lake and went to Temple Square and the new City Creek Center. Dillon loved the FANZZ store (no big surprise), the girls loved the Disney Store and Jason loved the Rock Mountain Chocolate Factory--only because they have tons of varieties of caramel apples!! We stayed in Salt Lake Saturday night and drove back home Sunday afternoon. Our trip was short and quick, but we had a great time. The saddest part of our whole trip was that I only took a few pictures. Oh well!!

New Car
After months of looking and deciding what to do, we got us a new car. We traded in the Tahoe to get something better on gas. It was a hard decision, because we loved the Tahoe and all of the room it had, but we needed to start saving some money on gas. We decided on this Nissan Altima and so far we love it. The kids seem to fit fine in the back seat and they haven't complained. Maybe when we go on a long road trip, we will miss the space of the Tahoe, but we won't miss paying for the gas!
Brooke Needs Reading Glasses
I took the kids to their annual eye exam and guess what? Brooke needs reading glasses! She was so excited to pick out a pair of glasses. I was so excited that so far she hasn't ended up needing glasses full time like myself, Dillon & Jenna. Hopefully one of my children won't end up with bad eyes like me! Anyway, she had fun trying on all different type of glasses. Here are some of our choices. You will have to wait until we get the actual pair to see the ones that she picked out.

Legion A Baseball
The Rocky Mountain Avalanche has had a great Summer. They won their District Championship back at the end of July. Then we went to Pocatello for the State Championship. They ended up in 2nd place. Then we went to Burley last week for Regional Championships. They played teams from Montana, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming, Alaska and Idaho. They ended up in 3rd place. It seems like it has been a crazy couple of weeks, but they played great and had a great time.
New Driver
Well, I'm almost sad to say that Dillon officially finished driver's ed and has his driving permit. He loves to drive and does a good job. It just makes me sad that he is growing up so fast!!!
