To help catch up on my life I will talk about something new with each post. Today I want to talk about work. Things are great. A lot people from outside of the Seattle station thought that I wouldn't like it...they are wrong! I love it. I love that there are a bunch of people willing to make trades. As it works right now I work 2 double shifts a week, maybe 3 times a week. I love how busy it is. In Denver there was SOOOO much down time. Not in Seattle! It is fun to be working in the New York City of Alaska Airlines. There is so much always going on! Just the other day I was checking in people and I just ended with a passenger on one side and turned to my other side to welcome my next passenger and then a voice said, "Hello, I'm Mr. Bill Ayer." (The is the Charmian and CEO of Alaska Airlines) I said, "I totally know who you are, I am a bit of a stalker! I love this company." I went on to remind him of my history of meeting him and my 2 furloughs.
A couple of weeks ago, I met Drew Barrymore! I love Seattle!
The other thing that has been WAY fun was the "Alaska Airlines Fly Girls Drill Team". It all started when we performed at the Torchlight Parade. Then we were such a hit they had us perform at 3 company meetings. It was one of my highlights of the year!
BTW - I am not the Santa in this photo. This was taken in Alaska.

I took a year off
I am not making big promises, however, here is a new post after a year.
We are now in Redmond, WA. I am so happy to be living in a place that I have always wanted to live. I will give more details but needless to say, we live in a house that is like a Thomas Kinkade painting. Here is a photo that we took on a rare snow day. It was taken from the dock in our back yard. The schools here are amazing. Our ward is great! More to come....

New House in Seattle!
Amy has been quite busy lately with moving to Seattle and starting in a new airport, so I am going to poach some photos and text from Lani's post about the Dittbrenner's new house:
They have been talking about it for years, and the time has finally come. The Dittbrenners finally made the move to Seattle! While Amy and Wayne went to pack up stuff in Vegas, Houston and I went to play with the kids. We played ball in the front yard, explored the cool hidden clubhouse (sorry, no picture), practiced our piano skills, took canoe rides, sent the kids off to school and worked on homework, went to Red Robin, and relaxed. Their new home is GORGEOUS! For siblings and parents around the world to get an idea of their place, I tried to capture it with a few pictures. (The rest of you all might find it really boring.) The photos do not do it justice. The bottom middle is the view of the house from their dock. The bottom left is taken from the family room... yes - that is really their gorgeous view. Bottom right is taken from the middle story on the bbq deck that is straight out from the dining room. It overlooks the lake. They painted these cute red chairs. The background picture was taken on the way to pick up Darcy and Dixie from the bus stop. This beautiful big lake is surrounded by beautiful big houses. All of which seem to have a collection of lake "toys". The upper right picture shows (taken from the dock) the neighbor's sailboat and blow up climbing wall.
Good times! We love you Dittbrenners

Counting Blessings: December 11 - 18
Today I am that LDS Family Services have decided to hire a lawyer for us to keep Savvy FOR E VER! For more info, click on the Johnson Family Blog link to the right.
Today I am thankful for the holiday season. This year as things a bit tight, it is easy to see the spirit of the season.
Today I am thankful for some of the people I work with at my Denver station. Some of these people are so great to help me with my shifts and kind to me at work.
Today I am thankful for my father in law Jack for providing a place for us to live during this rough time.
Today I am thankful for my fun job. I am in Seattle helping out with our Employee Holiday Reception. I LOVE Alaska Airlines!
Today I am thankful for Tiftin Clegg. She was my trainer when I first started with Alaska Air. Because I was a volunteer for the party, I didn’t get a hotel room so Tiftin let me crash at her honeymoon pad. She is so great (and Ben her Hubby too). I am also thankful for her spirit and love for Alaska Air, it was contagious, and I caught it too.
Thinking about how great it was to be in Seattle, I am thankful for my class mates from training, they are a bunch of fun and great people to know…miss you all!
Today I am thankful that Heavenly Father sent me to this family. I am so blessed to be born as a Bodell kid for so many reasons. 2 things are prevalent in my head today. #1 I am so grateful for my Grandparents. They are such an amazing example of love and spirituality. It is truly an honor to be their Granddaughter. #2 The Bodell family has taken upon themselves to give our family an amazing Christmas. I have been told that part of the magic is that I have no clue who donated the money. I got just one check from the organizer of the gift. I asked if I could know who participated so I could send out thank you notes…but I was told they didn’t want to be named. Thank you seems so small…(boy am I glad that computers can handle tears, otherwise I would have shorted out a while ago)…Thank you seem so small, but I love you all. When I look at this photo I think that each and every one of you helped me out this season. I pray that soon I will be on the giving side of this wonderful magical gift, but as for today, I am honored to be on the receiving side. Merry Christmas

Counting Blessings: December 5 - 9
December 5th
Today I am thankful that if does NOT snow year round.
December 6th
Today I am thankful that the church is the same everywhere. My current work schedule doesn’t allow me to attend my ward but rather another ward closer to work. I love that I can go into a church building anywhere around the world and it is comforting to see the sameness. The songs, the bishopric, the kids, the meetings, etc. The people are different, but the spirit is the same!
December 7th
Today I am thankful for FREE TEXTING! I changed my plan to include free texting, not that I was a big text-er but I would like to be. If you have free texting let me know so I can start texting!
December 8th
Today I am thankful for crab. Crab is my favorite food. Tonight Wayne and I did a mystery shop at Landry’s. http://www.landrysseafoodhouse.com/ I love spending other people’s money. We had a 70 budget! If you ever are looking for a fancy place to eat I would totally recommend them. I have been to Ruth Chris 2 times before, and this place was light years better than Ruth Chris.
December 9th
Today I am thankful for my cruise memories. Cruising is my favorite way to travel and thinking about my yummy dinner last night reminds me of the good food on the cruises. Good times! I am always on the lookout for a good deal to go again!
