who would you trust, when both have pasts that are equally questionable in their own right?
people don't change, do they? but in reality, people do change...don't they?
the past is not a prediction of the future, but speaking from experience, it's a pretty damn good indication alright.
when reality bites, chews and spits you out.

some guy friends have mentioned it before in passing, but never with such conviction and certainty until tonight.
and so it turns out that most guys (not all) really do employ the tactic of making the girl break up with them, rather than pulling the trigger themselves. to be fair, a cowardice of this sort, is, to a very limited extent acceptable. which one of us wants to be the bad guy most times anyway?
but to push her to call for a break, and then feign wanting to give it another try - and only to subsequently admit what was in fact already decided earlier, is just down right poor form, not to mention a bloody waste of time and emotionally draining.
if you want her to pull the trigger, then just bite the bullet damnit.
mucho kawaii!

it is not often that i am home on a friday night, let alone have the house all to myself. yet here i am. but i am glad and thankful for this breathing space of sorts.
people are interesting creatures. it is not uncommon for their own perceptions of themselves, to be almost polar opposites of how they are viewed by others. and when this comes to light, i must admit that it can be very amusing at times. but more often than not, it is an amusement at the expense of others, no?

anyway, tonight was pretty interesting. i met up with b and his friends earlier in the evening. when said friends left for home, we adjourned to another kopitiam nearby, but not before bumping into mr. chiam and mr. yap, who were enjoying a very nice romantic dinner together in the absence of their respective girlfriends ;)
after b and i finished our yumcha session, we made a pit stop at the petrol kiosk. lo and behold, who should i see walking in after b, but none other than mr. pincon himself! after getting mr. pincon's attention, he informs me that mr. low is with him too!
chatted briefly with the guys before they headed off to join mr. chiam and mr. yap at the cybercafe for a night of fun and games. fun and games being DOTA and COD4. (i think).
a highly amusing string of coincidences me thinks.

anyway, i'm baking jj's birthday cake tomorrow! can't wait! wish me luck! (although i think the people who have to eat the cake need it more than i do =P )

there have been many, many things that i've been wanting to write about. but as you can tell from my previous post, my desktop really is a nightmare.
and yet, as i sit here in front of the comp, with all the time in the world to spare for rebooting my computer over, and over (and over!) again, i am at a loss for words. all i can say is,
curse the hand that fans the fire of hope.
