Trying to keep my goal!

Blogging EVERY day for 21 days is HARD!  Especially when you're boring :)  So I don't really have anything fun to post about now, but I will tomorrow and Tuesday!  I'll give you a clue as to what Tuesday is...

"One year older and wiser too!  ________ ________ to you!" :)

Peace out yo!

Sort of Slacker

Well, I got home really late on Saturday night, so technically this post will say Sunday...  Still trying to keep to my 21 days in a row, so we'll say this counts.  However, since it's so late, we'll just consider it done and I'll do better tomorrow! :)  I had to add in this pretty picture for good measure.  It was taken in Sedona last month.  That place sure is pretty!  See ya tomorrow! (Well technically later today!)

The Avery Tote

A friend that used to be in my ward asked me to make a scripture tote for her niece's baptism.  This might just be my most favorite one I've ever made!  (And between my mom and I we've made well over 100, so that's saying A LOT!)

I took some quick pictures of it this morning before it got picked up so I could always remember it's awesome-ness!  The pictures could use a little more awesome-ness, but I get NO direct sunlight in my house.  NONE.  Our house has a two story house on each side, which shades us and keeps our electric bill in check, but it totally cramps my indoor picture taking style!  And I didn't feel like going outside :) (Too hot!!)

I had to ghetto crop these two pictures to cut out the toys that were on the floor :)  Aren't those polka dots just THE CUTEST!!??  They add to the favoritism!

I also love the green bottom.  (And my new nail polish.  Thank you Sephora!)

If you haven't notices, I really love this bag! :)  I forgot how much fun they are to create and make.  Maybe I'll start selling them in my Etsy shop again...  What do you think?

Harry's Hair Cut

Before (He looks thrilled!)

I got kind of tired of paying between $7 and $15 to get my 2 year old's hair cut.  He's two, his hair grows fast, and he's a boy.  It's not like they were doing some complicated fancy hair style on him!  So I worked up my nerve and decided to try and give him a hair cut myself!

Now keep in mind, I've never cut a boys hair before.  Not a real hair cut anyways!  I've shaved Colin's head plenty of times, but it's pretty impossible to mess that up!  When Harry was just a little over 1, I had decided that I would trim his hair (for the first time EVER).  A couple of snip snips later, I was crying my eyes out, babbling on and on about how I ruined my babies hair.  Ask my mom, she was there.  Looking back I feel kind of dumb :)  So actually deciding to give my baby a real live hair cut was kind of a big deal, but I figured I'd seen it done enough times that I could figure it out myself and save us some moolah!

I watched a couple of videos online, just to reassure myself that I could do it! :)  Then I put Harry in a tall chair in front of the TV, turned on one of his favorite shows, said "Be brave Amy!", and started snipping.  I think I did a pretty good job, if I do say so myself!  I'm sure I'll get better with time, but for now, it was money well SAVED! :)

After (Isn't he cute!!??)

Love my boy!
