被4AD簽下正於紐約錄製首專輯中的英國倫敦新晉樂隊The Big Pink將會選在6月底發行他們在這新東家的第二支單曲〈Stop The World〉外，其一成員Milo Cordell所主導的Merok Records更是Indie樂迷不可不知的音樂廠牌，眾所皆知的Klaxons、Crystal Castles、The Teenagers、Comanechi和Pre等新樂隊都在此廠牌發跡，也間接成為當時英國新起New Rave文化重要推手之一，隨著這音樂風潮已過Merok Records陸續又簽入發行的新樂隊如Esser、Salem、Telepathe、Rainbow Arabia和Teengirl Fantasy等都代表著另一波音樂類型將興起，而自己在Esser和Telepathe都已交出優秀的首專輯後，把焦點給移轉到Rainbow Arabia這組來自LA的兩人樂隊身上，在首單曲〈The Basta〉內不難發現音樂上結合了M.I.A.和Gang Gang Dance的特質，而此單曲從封面到音樂以及影像都帶有相當濃厚的中東異國風味，也相當的符合其團名；Rainbow Arabia也預定透過Manimal Vinyl Records在七月底發行他們的2nd EP《Kabukimono》，製作方面找來了Pit Er Pat的Butchy Fuego，另外也將收錄兩首先前單曲交由Ghosts On Tape和Brenmar這個由These Are Powers成員Bill Salas所化名的兩個單位混音版本在內。

Following months of courting, waking up in the middle of the night in cold sweats, and idle chit chat, Modular is very proud to announce that Sydney duo Bag Raiders are now a part of the Modular premiere league. Bag Raiders new single, Shooting Stars is the first release in Modular's new collaboration with The Bang Gang Deejays in-house label, Bang Gang 12 Inches, and will be out August 14.
Shooting Stars is the kind of blissful dance floor epiphany usually associated with the French, an ecstatic track that teases and builds to the kind of hands in the air love-in that's been the certified secret weapon of discerning DJ's for some months, and it's now time for the rest of us to join the throng. The single comes correct with remixes by Kris Menace, Siriusmo, In Flagranti and Shazam, and a video directed by New York upstart Ron Winter.

至今仍然算是我的愛團之一的倫敦樂隊The Big Pink，在簽入4AD之後即將於9月中發行首張專輯A Brief History of Love，而樂隊的第四張單曲Dominos（在4AD的第三張）也會選擇在前一週發行，收錄在B-side的曲目She's No Sense則有Florence and the Machine的長腿阿姨Florence Welsh前來合音助陣，也因為此7“單曲的封面所以將是買來收藏的重要原因。

Little Boots取自首張專輯Hands內的Remedy將作為下一張單曲預定8月中發行，在先前已有A1 Bassline和Disco Bloodbath等DJ的官方混音釋出，而Dubstep當道的這一年英國樂壇裡已開始了不成文的規定就是不論個人或是樂隊都勢必會找來玩Dubstep的DJ為其作品炮製出這樣類型的一首混音版本，所以在Little Boots這張將發行的新單曲Remedy內也有了Rusko的加持，在NME上有人形容這一首交由Rusko混音的Remedy將會是下一首La Roux的In For The Kill（被Skream玩到爆紅的Dubstep混音）。

也是一組備受矚目的英國樂隊The XX，前陣子在IMPO聽The XX的歌時大強說他覺得男主唱Oliver Sim很像阿姆（白人饒手歌手那一位）不過事實上我覺得Oliver Sim比較帥；回到The XX身上雖然樂隊目前只發行過一張7"單曲Crystalised，但是專輯很快速的遽聞是將在8月作發行，Video裡是日前錄製的Crystalised這首Acoustics版本。

Ready For The Weekend是Calvin Harris繼I'm Not Alone之後的單曲，其中找來了由High Contrast和Fake Blood製作的混音版本先前都只能透過BBC Radio 1的節目裡聽到實在是不太過癮，好不容易剛剛搞到了完整版本，在Fake Blood和High Contrast的加持下Ready For The Weekend真的很爽快，另外在官方的版本裡還將收錄Spoon的混音與dub這兩個版本。

對於和我一樣著迷於英國Black Wave一眾樂隊的人來說Electricity in Our Homes這名字絕不陌生，於年初在4AD發行了樂隊第三張單曲7" Gymnastics後，EIOH的第四張單曲We Agree Completely則轉投到Parlour Records（曾發行Project:KOMAKINO、Le Tetsuo、Plug、Ill Ease幾組英國當地備受矚目的樂隊單曲）將以12"形式收錄五首新曲並限量500張於7月底發行，而本地樂迷則可以透過IMPO大強來預訂此張（Parlour Records的MySpace上也註記了亞洲地區除了日本幾間Records Shop能買到外，台灣就交由IMPO大強的店裡獨家販售，好處就是可以省去運費）。

The Horrors的其兩成員Tom Furse和Rhys Webb稍早於今年三月的時候以Spider and the Flies這Side-Project名義提供了兩個Mixtape "UP"、"Down" 給Vice的網站，而在今天的Vice網站又見到Tom Furse（這次沒有Rhys Webb）在剛結束4、5月The Horrors和The Kills在美加地區的巡迴後所錄製的Mixtape給試聽下載，沒有提供曲目但有興趣者不彷聽聽。
