{Insert witty title here}

So you'll just have to imagine a witty title for todays post - I'm drawing a blank here. Elisa and I went to help Brooke's class do more planting in their native garden yesterday. One of the kids Dads works for the Botanic Garden Nursery, and he came with over 80 donated native plants - really nice flaxes, cabbage trees etc. Thankfully the ground had softened from the rains, making digging MUCH easier than last time. We donated a couple of bags of compost from our family too. The bank looks great now. I really hope the plants take root and flourish.

I'm so happy to welcome a new nephew to the family. Little Caleb, we will come see you next weekend. Mwah! I'm sure his face will pop up in my scrapping very soon ;)

Speaking of scrapping, here are a few pages I worked on since the last post.

Queens Birthday Weekend

We started our weekend with Brooke's friend Brooke sleeping over. The next morning Dillon (Brooke's twin) came to play as well, and they were both here till lunchtime. After lunch we did some crafts, then the girls watched a movie while I cooked two Shepherds Pies. Took one of the pies and the girls to a friends house then shot off to Valerie's baby shower. Valerie lived next door and babysat us when we were kids. Earlier this year she unexpectedly delivered her baby girl at only 27 weeks! Thankfully they were well looked after in hospital, and both Mum and baby progressed enough to finally get out of hospital a few months later. It was really wonderful to see her at the baby shower with little Amelia and catch up. I think the last time I saw her would've been about 10 years ago??

Sunday we went to church and had a quiet afternoon. Michelle and Colin came for dinner on their way home from Hamilton and we had a really nice catch up. Elisa was in full show-off mode, chattering away non-stop and making herself the centre of attention. Brooke was excited to have them here too. You'd think they were the girls favourite Uncle and Aunty or something the way the kids carried on. (In actual fact this is probably the first time they've really even spoken to Colin). He made a good impression on my girls anyway. Michelle and Colin are very excited about the birth of their first child in about 12 weeks time. They had heaps of questions. Not sure any advice I gave was very helpful though. LOL. They are borrowing our baby hammock for their little one. It was a great success for us, so I hope their experience with it is as good.

Monday the girls and I popped into the mall to do a little shopping. While there Brooke lost her strawberry shortcake wallet, so we went to the $2 shop and got her a new one. Luckily she only had about $2 in the old wallet. We picked up 2 movies while we were out. Curious George's Christmas to watch this afternoon, and Up, which the kids can watch tomorrow.

Which brings us on to Tuesday and a very full house of kids. Logan will be here as usual, then we will also have Daneka, Brooke and Dillon (all 6 yrs old) over to play since it's a teacher only day at school, and their parents are working. My Brooke is going to be in Heaven. I'm glad Logan will be here for Elisa to play with. Once the twins Mum has finished work (1.30pm) we'll all shoot over to the Chipmunks Playland in Pakuranga and let them loose in there for a few hours. The playland there has had a makeover/upgrade and is heaps of fun. The older kids will love it (I took Logan and Elisa there on Friday). By the time we get home from that it should almost be dinner time. The twins will go home with their mum, and Logan and Daneka will be picked up around 5.30pm. I'm sure my girls will conk out pretty quick that night! Then it's back into a regular school week, albeit only 3 days long.

June already!

Considering the amount of time I spend on the computer everyday, you'd think I would update my blog more often huh. We're just plodding along here - getting out our winter clothes and buying new ones for kids that are growing too quickly. I finally managed to catch up and post my 365 pages on my other blog (see side bar). I'll just post the small versions here. Click on them to see larger images in the gallery.

And of course there are other pages for various albums... not all have been uploaded into galleries yet. Consider them a sneak peek.
