Brooke is a lot better now, and spent the day watching TV, playing on the computer and playing games with Daddy while I went to church. Tomorrow she's been invited to play at a friends house for the morning, then she and I are going to see Monsters vs Aliens at the movie theatre. She misses Elisa a lot, and was more than happy to see and speak to her on Skype tonight.
As for me tonight, I have to make next months menu plan and calendar so I don't forget things. Best I get started now, so I'll leave you with this week's 365 page:

Found my mojo again
Brooke ended up staying home from school today. She was pretty quiet most of the morning, wanting lots of cuddles with me, then just wanting to stay tucked up on the couch watching TV with Elisa while I cleaned. Once the morning Pamol had kicked in to her system she perked up, and played happily with Elisa for quite a while. While they played I scrapped a couple of pages. I tried to get them both to sleep after lunch, but Brooke didn't, and Elisa only got about half an hour before she woke again.
At 4pm we took Elisa down to Nanny & Papa's. Brooke was undecided whether she would stay or not (it all depended on how she felt), so we took her clothes and jammies anyway, but by the time we got there she was really feeling pretty tired, and was happy to stay with Mummy and come back home again. We stopped at McDonalds on the way home, and she managed a few bites of burger, some chips and a bit of sundae ice-cream. Not a whole lot, but more than she'd eaten for lunch anyway. We got home at 8pm and she happily went straight to bed. Hopefully she'll sleep in in the morning.
I forgot to post this layout the other day. Something totally out of my normal scrapping style, but it was fun to do.

These layouts I did today for challenges at Elemental Scraps.

Brooke is sick
Poor Brooke. She's been counting down the days till she and Elisa go to Nanny and Papa's for the weekend, so very excited to go. But now she's sick. Runny nose, sore ears, sore throat, bit of a temperature, and totally miserable. She did go to school yesterday and today albeit dosed up with Pamol and Demazin, but I'm not sure she'll go tomorrow. She was like a limp rag doll by dinner time, didn't eat, and was in bed well before 7pm. I'm thinking tomorrow she'll get worse before she gets better. Elisa will still go to Mum & Dads, but Brooke will have to go another time. Speaking of Brooke, she went up another reading level last week. She's now on level 8 and doing really well.
Saturday DH and I are doing a working bee at Playcentre, getting rid of tree cuttings, old concrete and miscellaneous rubbish that has slowly built up. Brooke will have to sit in the car and snooze while we do that - should only take us an hour or so.
I haven't really felt like scrapping this week, so don't have a lot to show except one page and my usual 365 layout.

365 and Ammon
I've almost finished Ammon's First Year Album. It's (obviously) taken me a year to do, and I'm sure Janferay can't wait to get her hands on a printed copy soon. It actually took a lot more work than I anticipated, but I'm happy with the result. I do have a few more pages to do but it won't be long now and I'll send it off to get printed. Regan and Andre volunteered (a year ago of course) to go halves in the printing cost. You guys still ok with that? It'll probably be an Australian Company printing it anyway. I'll let you know the details later. Anyway, here's the last page of the book:

School work
I volunteered to do some computer work for Brooke's teacher, making laminated visual aides for her task boards. She has task boards for Reading, Writing, Spelling, and their daily plan. How I did it was completely up to me. It took me a week to do as I had to reinstall Microsoft Word so I could access clipart. Half of it is from my digital scrapbook supplies, and the rest is clipart from the web. I did aides for her taskboard and for the kid's group tables. Excise the blurriness - the laminating sheets didn't photograph so well.
And a daily plan so the kids know what's coming next. Note: not all aides are shown, just those that would fit on screen for a sample :)
I also did a title for the mural I helped paint last week. Will take a photo of that on Monday and add it to this post:

I have a new job
Well not really a new one, but a more permanent one. Chrissy W at Elemental Scraps invited me to be on her permanent CT (Creative Team) after I guested for her last month. I'm very excited about this. You can check out her personal blog HERE. I get to work with her fabulous templates and make pages like this:
And Mum's Mothers Day card:
Actually most of the pages I created in the last month used one template or another from Chrissy. I'm still on Sya's CT as well, and this is the latest layout I've done for her, using her movie poster inspired templates.
I did this layout at 6am this morning during a speed scrap at Elemental Scraps. I didn't use a template this time. I find I wake pretty early in the mornings, and just can't go back to sleep, so I use the time to read my scriptures then jump on the computer to scrap. Time well spent I think.
Two CT positions are enough for me right now, so I stood down from Sabrina Dupre's CT when I accepted Chrissy's offer. It was great working with Sabrina, but felt it was time to move on to something else.

Nothing exciting
Just a few layouts I've done this week. I've been working on a project for Brooke's teacher that has taken up most of my time. Computer stuff to print out for her task boards. I'll take a photo of it later so you can see. Just a couple more pages to print, cut and laminate.
Ryan's Birthday
Leah & Papa
I did this for a journalling challenge at Elemental Scraps. We had to journal something funny our kids said. I had a lot to choose from ;)
They're all in my Digi Shop Talk Gallery if you want more details.

Happy Mother's Day
Goodness Mum, how do I even start to thank you for all you have done? For the wonderful childhood and lessons learned...for the practical advice and loving concern...for always being there whenever I need you...for loving my children as much as you do...I don't even know where to start. Mum, you are just the best, and I love you so much more than I can ever put into words. Happy Mother's Day with a whole heap of love and hugs. See you at Ryan's party.

[Inter]National Scrapbooking Day
I've been pretty frugal when it comes to my digital scrapbooking supplies. I very occasionally buy something on sale, but generally I use a lot of freebies from the net, or kits from my creative team designers. So.......once a year when International Scrapbooking Day rolls around you can bet I make the most of it to stock up on lovely new goodies. The basic digital scrapbook kit costs between 5 and 8 American dollars. You can of course get kits more expensive, but that's the medium. For NSD many stores put selected items on sale for US$1-2. Now that's what I call a sale! The majority of the kits I got were US$1-2, with a few special ones costing US$3-4. I mainly shopped for kits, but also managed to find a few quick pages and templates along the way. I feel like a kid in a candy store, and can't wait to have a play with all this:
OK, I realise the preview is pretty small - you'll have to click on it to see it bigger. I got a lot more stuff too, but you'll just have to wait and see the items on my layouts. I did get to play with one kit today. "I Dream Of Poppies" by Bren Boone. Here's the kit:
and here's my page:
I did these ones earlier in the week:
I should have some 365 pages to upload tomorrow night too. Brooke is sleeping over at Ryan & Logan's tonight - something she's been looking forward to for ages. As for Elisa, she's just being her cute little self. Her speech and language skills are really advancing quickly, and she often surprises me with the things she says and the length of sentences she uses. She loves to sing now too. Makes up her own tunes with bits and pieces of lyrics from other songs. Oh, and remember a while ago I said she was terrible at tidying up? Not anymore. She's very good now at picking up things and putting them away. More so when it's just a few things, not a whole mountain of toys.
