The Eight Hundred and Eighty Three

So here's a brief story. Harley in all their wisdom decided to give us a brand spanking new Sportster with 12 miles on the clock, and a little cash. 'Go ahead and customise the bike as you see fit' they said, 'ok' we said. Well, can you Adam and Eve it? A little bit of paint here and there, change the bars maybe, some shiney exhausts and bobs your uncle they thought. Oh no its not we thought. We knew exactly what we were going to do so it was over to JD's shop, 1 week later all that was left was the motor and lower frame. 6 weeks later this is what rolled out of the place, love it!! not too sure what HD think though, ahem, well nevermind eh?!. JD did all the hardwork, him and Caleb are brilliant, more here at Thirteen 24
Jaymes from Blue Moon Customs handled the mind blowing paint, pipe kit from Biltwell, lights from John Krena. All the other stuff, like the front end, seat, fender, sissy bar etc etc I got from friends, swapmeets and ebay. It runs super sweet.

Thunder Road Pickle Dog Cat

Me and Maxwell Houser put the front end on tonight thanks to Frank who sorted out the trees and top nut quicker than expected and to Caleb for helping me rebuild the lower legs on the 6 over 33.4MM!!! I still haven't cut the fat bob mounts off so the gas tank is just mocked up. Wednesday it goes to a secret location for bars...mids...tank/fender mount. Then its just wiring and paint right?!?!?!

Our mate Joey Castillo emailed me today with some random pics of a super sweet Van! Apparently it was spotted close to a venue in Graz, Austria where he was playing with his band, The Eagles Of Death Metal. Keep 'em peeled for a new section of this blog that will be called.... When we were in Japan a few years ago we went and visited Nutz, what an amazing bloke and a great artist too. Super nice guy. He's really intense, concentrates very hard and always works his, well, nuts off.....ahem.

Brand New SU Carbs!

Thanks to those lovely people down at Rivera Primo Engineering I now have a sparkling new chrome SU carb, intake and aircleaner on my Panhead aka 'Thunder Road Pickle Dog Cat'. Not only that but it was built to spec for a '57 Panhead...ready to go!! I didn't even realize that they have been making these things for years and they are available for just about any Harley motor out there! Seeing as we have come on all athletic like and its getting cold and we like to look good and we like the ladyeezzzzz we have these new hoodies. So once again we went for American Apparel because they are really fantastic quality. Y'know how those cheap sweatshirts go all out of shape and baggy after you've worn them for a couple of hours? well these don't do that, and they are nice and warm too. Ok, I know they are little more expensive but feel the cloth moth, yeah, thats right, no Chinese rubbish here.

I went by the shop today, always great stuff just sort of hanging around in there. That blue Pan was saying some rather naughty stuff to me too, like "Take me home big boy, you know you want to" and "yes, yes, yes, Oh god yes!" and "Just think how good we would be together, you can do anything to me, and I do mean anything!", stuff like that damn it!

Morris mag neat oh

I've had this Morris mag on the bike for quite a few 1000 miles, sweet as a nut, so much better than all that electric bollocks. However, in the pouring rain on the Gypsy Run, lost in CT, map turned to mush, it decided it had had enough and told to me to piss off. I stripped it down as far as I could and found the auto advance and retard had broken in 3 places and the body was cracked. So feet up in front of the fire for a couple of days in the Palisades while I waited for the chase truck to pick me up on the return loop. That top bloke Walter Gemeinhardt ran the busted mag over to Morris in NJ while I was on my way back to the other coast. Anyways, they fixed it, and they fixed it proper like

Thats right, its going to be a humdinger. The Black Tibetans are playing, Danny G on the decks, beer in the cooler, all at the 2 Roses which is a killer place. Lots of bike parking too. Yesssss mate.

We all have heros right? Bob Clark is one of mine, just look at this picture. Surfboard,check. Hot girl in a bikini,check. Crocheted blanket,check. The beach,check. Flake, crazy paint, molding, rake, extended springer, pull backs, Invaders,check,check and check! The bike is killer, but thats not all, just look what Bobs wearing. That suede and leather jacket is amazing, the trousers, the boots. In fact from the top of his head to the soles of his feet he is so freakin cool. Like I said, my hero.
