Any idea what is this ??

well well...this was what my mummy used to hang my nappies
(& my younger sis's nappies as well !!)
was taken aback when she passed this to me today...
"nah, for you to hang your bb's nappies...very useful...no need any pegs..and the length is just nice..."

mmmm...come to think of it..this 'thingy' sure has a little 'history' huh..
looks like its really a 'hand-me-down'...and i have to tell our little precious...that mummy used to have her nappies hung on this too, you know =)

and the sales assistant knew just what to do to make me say "YES!", she unfold the bag and *ta-ta* a shopping bag !! oooo..couldn't resist the cherry prints..mmm..should i use it for grocery/swimming/for my weekend 'gai-gai'...???

**Frozen Desserts**
i have sweet tooth...and nothing beats watching my fav TV favourite programme..& a nice cup of dessert ! couldn't resist the temptation when my fren suggested "Island Creamery"...ahhhh...yesh...2 tubs pls..."Strawberry Sorbet" & "Chendol" to savor and enjoy with my dearest dar c",)

~A Weird Dream~
yesterday, i dreamt of 2 tiny hands 'emerging' from my tummy..and when i was about to touch them..they 'shy away' and return into my tummy again..then suddenly..
2 tiny feet 'emerged' from my tummy..wringgling...
tried to get hold of my camera to take a pic.. but before i could do it.. the tiny feet 'found their way' back into my tummy again...
i was pretty amused..and wondered..what a weird but endearing dream...
by then..i woke up.. its 4.30am..
and i'm hungry..woke dar up..
and he prepared a yummy sandwich for me..
thanks dar..mucks!
perhaps..its my little precious trying to tell me,
"Mummy, i am hungry!!"

~Something Sweet~
had been a pretty tough week...but @ least it ended with some very sweet moments...
(1) after blogging abt not having a seat...i was SUDDENLY offered seats on the train by GUYS..consecutively..yupz..every other time i was on the train..heee =)
(2) w my work load doubled (cos colleague on leave & boss on biz trip)..got an appreciation email from my boss for all the hard work..& a good job done to help close a few deals which adds up to a nice sum of revenue for the co. =) was surprised with the email (in a good way) & happy that all the hard work is paid off =)
(3) a nice home-cooked dinner @ a dear fren's place..so warm & cosy..so simple yet sweet..to catch up..to laugh, to giggle & talk about guys !!

The Libra Baby
~ well well, my EDD is 8th Oct..thus even if we do a little "+" or "-", our little precious will most likely be a Libra (just like the mummy..hee)..kinda having a "blogger diarrhoea" these days..thus did a goggle search..and here's what i found on the characteristics of a Libra Baby...mmm..we shall see how true are these when the time arrives!!!

~Another Typical Day~
yar... this below pic totally depicts what happens to me every morning... (on the way to work)~ left standing even though I AM OBVIOUSLY PREGGIE....

i guess, out of 5 times that i'm offered a seat - 4 times was offered by a lady..and what's the guy doing ???
::my observation::
1) Snoozing away... (but able to miraculously wake up @ the correct station ; looking all-so-refreshed..while i'm prob turning green !!)
2) Sms-ing (ya..totally engrossed in texting..like he is closing a multi-million biz over that 20 mins train ride)
3) Playing PSP (need i say more.. totally engrossed with the fighter aeroplane / car-racing etc)
4) Watching DVD (be it korean/HK/wateva..their eyes are stuck to the screen)
5) Reading the Papers　(and i mean..reading every single alphabet very carefully..and bringing the papers close to their nose..so that they are oblivious to the surroundings)
6) Blank Stare (ya.. like staring @ you.. wondering for the next 20 mins.. if the lady standing in front of them is pregnant ??)
7) Continue with their conversation with their other guy fren beside them....
all in all.. they are TOTALLY ENGROSSED in watever that they are doing..not sensitive to what is happening ard them...and when it comes to the station that they have to alight.. they will all "LOOK UP" and alight.. never a "oh shit, i missed my stop"..always soo alert to the destination 'station'..but not alert to the ppl who needs the seat more than them... of cos, by then..i would have to alight as well...boooo
jus recently, dar suggested that i do a "Care Bear Stare" - stick out my tummy & stare @ the guy (sending him signals that "I Need the Seat!!"

i was totally amused... yar.. care bear is my all-time fav cartoon !! i tried.. but it did not work.. hmph...tried again the next day.. still no change...i'm just afraid that by then i get a seat ... i would have suffered from a bad backache (from all the 'sticking out of my bump".. is causing strain on my back.. hahahha)
anyways, for now, we will just wake up a little earlier and take the early train / like what my fren suggests.. to look @ the guy and tell him nicely (yet firmly) "Excuse Me, can i have your seat, plssss... i am pregnant.." c",)

Week 24: Breathe baby, breathe!

This is another big week for your magical growing baby!
Just take a look at the checklist for this week: 1) ears: done; 2) fingernails: done; 3) (if you have a boy) testicles: taking their 3-4 day trip from the abdominal wall to the scrotum; and 4) lungs walls: secreting “surfactant”. What’s that? Well, surfactant is sort of what it sounds like: a surface-activated fat whose main purpose is to assist the your baby's little lungs during inflation (as in, filling with air, not getting more expensive). Just in case you’re curious, your submerged baby is still breathing in amniotic fluid, preparing and rehearsing the lungs an oxygen-filled life outside the womb. By the end of this week, your child will be weighing around 2 lbs and 14 inches long. Your cutie-patootie may even be a little more plump, but isn't anywhere near their full baby-fatted cute-self. Most of the “filling out” is coming up in that long awaited (and slightly dreaded?) third trimester. Woo-hoo! Get ready!
And how's mom doing?
Your little one is moving (spinning, kicking, pirouetting, shimmying, and maybe even doing a bit of the Can-Can) so much these days that if you invite your friends and/or family to touch your belly there’s a good chance they’ll get a milder sample of what you’ve been experiencing .

been a truly amazing experience..

so much to learn...so much to adapt to...

am glad that our little bb inside me has been good ..

allowing me to continue with my normal lifestyle (which includes eating, shopping, sleeping etc..)

'teaching' me to learn to appreciate the little things in life..not to take things for granted...

dar & i are counting down the days when we can cuddle & 'smell' our little precious (yup..bb's smell..nice!!)

praying for a happy & healthy baby......& a smooth delivery c",)

jus got 'pissed off' by a lady who came over to our place for a cleaning demo..

Background~signed up for a FREE cleaning demo @ Expo last week. Apparently, it helps to remove dust mites etc..and they charge about $50-$70 each time (to clean the mattress & sofa). Upon signing for the trial, get a complimentary "steamer" (can be used for ironing, cleaning the curtain etc)

The Demo ~cleaned the mattress and showed how much dust mites have accumulated after the past 1 year..the water turned colour..and there were little particles floating..yikes!

The Sales Talk ~ to buy the machine (which costs $2,000 + !!) or sign up for the cleaning service (for bed & sofa = $898.80 for 12 sessions, usual price is about $150-$200 per session)

The Pissing-Off~ the amount was totally not what we understood @ the fair..but we told the lady nicely that we need to consider..as she kept pressing us for reason..(is it cos its exx..we offer interest-free installment..etc) told her its not the product OR the price..just that we need to consider and discuss..leave your contact no. and we will call you...she continued to press for a reason..till Dar got irritated..and went to the room to get some stuff..
then the lady told me:
"since its not the $$ , that means your husband is not willing to pay. he dun love you and your baby. baby is gg to be out soon but he doesn't even care.." she went on and on..as she pack her stuff..and left us with a toilet bowl of the dirty water (which she din even bother to flush away)!!
Boy, am i cheezed-off manz!

seem soo much to handle at times..

mmm...my main priority now is my bb but i am only human..

how can i not be bothered by my surroundings..

i wish time will stand still..for me to catch my breathe...

perhaps..i have over-exerted myself...

jus back from a hearty dinner with 2 of my long-time dear frens..(yups, frens for 15 years!!) @ "Lao Beijing"..yummilicious food..but i think i over-ordered..having abit of indigestion now..opppss...and i've got a pressie c",)

when i flipped open...*alas*..its in mandarin...gosh..i've returned my chi-nese back to my 老师oredi...

trying to read very slowly..and found that the content was pretty interesting (with week by week pregnancy changes , wat to do as a mum-to-be, things to eat, things for hubby to look out for..etc ) plus picture illustration..mmm, shall get Dar to read more to me later..cos when i read..it will be "他们x x x, 我们 x x...etc"

Me : ok, just abit tired...
Doc : ya..cos as you get bigger..fatigue will kick in... so must rest more..dun stand to long and walk to much....(looking @ Dar)... so dun bring her go shopping huh...
Dar : *grin*
Me : *mmmmmm* (thinking: i can still do online shopping, heee)
Part 2
Dar : can she still continue to swim ?
Doc : sure..to dip in the water, rite ?
Me : mmmm..actually me will usually do about 4-5 laps
Doc : (looking abit shocked) wow, that is good..usually ppl will go for dips, maybe over time, you can cut down to 2-3..then 1-2 laps... dipping in the water is good cos you will feel lighter..etc...
Oppsss.. looks like have to slowly cut down on the laps & not to over-exert myself..
Always a relief to hear that bb is healthy....another 4 more weeks before we see him again!!

Week 23: Dancing baby alert!
At this point you’ve pretty much adjusted to the fact you’ve got a moving little gymnast inside of you, but now they’re going to kick up the party a notch because they can hear and react to sounds from the outside world. Of course this also means that their little ears are picking up the sounds of your voice and those near you. So go ahead, sing a lullaby to your little angel—if they start kicking, it’s likely they just want you to stop… or maybe it was a kick of approval? You decide.
Your baby's tiny taste buds are still growing and their bones are continuing to ossify (harden), their tiny veins are visible through their translucent yet wrinkly skin. (Think of it this way: they’ve been swimming in the equivalent of a long hot bath for the past 23 weeks, so you can’t blame them for being a little prune-like.)
And how's mom doing? If no one warned you about the joys of the pregnancy-sleep-challenge, you’ve probably already started to discover just how difficult it can be to find adequately comfortable sleeping positions. Try to avoid sitting for long periods of time—and for the hundredth time: don’t forget to stay active! Plenty of good ol’ fashioned H20 (water) can help reduce swelling in your poor ankles and feet-- resulting from the pressure your now over-sized uterus is putting on your pelvic veins, thereby slowing fluid circulation to the lower half of your body. Keeping your fluid intake up is also good for your little resident swimmer as dehydration is frequently connected with premature birthing. Yep, it’s a lot of responsibility, but you can do it! You’re almost two-thirds of the way there already! Keep up the good work mom!

well well...i am getting excited again cos we are gg to visit the gynae later =) mmm..wondering how is the "little gymnast" doing?? indeed he has been doing lotsa somersaulting these dayz.....can't wait to see him !!

well....we've been eyeing @ this Havana Bench from Barang Barang (yesh, dar & i are HUGE fan of them) for the longest time... but the price was never right...
mmmmm...finally...there's a 50% slash in the price..we just have to buy it!!!
gonna place it next to the shoe cupboard so that Dar dun have to sit on the floor & tie his shoe-laces..c",)

dar & I are on leave today...and we are heading down to Expo for

& i'm slowly realising that my toes r slowly 'disappearing' under e sight of my bump..mmm..

Cos we were pretty early, headed next door for the JL Sports fair..and see wat he got..a new pair of shoes..couldn't even resist to wait till we get home, he asked the cashier to snip off the tag and wore his new shoes..(beaming with joy..jus like a little kid..hee)

Can you see the queue forming outside Hall5B..gosh..we thus decided to "have it our way" by sitting @ BK waiting for the crowd to disperse before 'chionging' in..hee=)

after about 3 hours..we finally left with our purchases & Dar's oh-so-aching hands!! (but after a quick bite..i 'psycho' him to re-enter again..Jus In Case, if i miss out anything..oppss)

mmm....neatly pack the stuff for bb in the storeroom & with hand-me-down for bb cot & pram..seem like we are almost done...just waiting for the arrival of our little precious =)

Love Daddy ??

bb has been kicking more intensely these days (harder but still gentle)

and amazingly/coincidentally..

2 incidents seem to show how much bb loves his daddy!

(1) Dar has been trying to keep up with his reading of
bedtime stories for bb...
But, with only 4 books now,
bb has been 'listening' to the stories over & over again..

Yesterday, dar told bb :
"Ton-ton, daddy is gg to read you a new story tonight.."

*kick*

& dar continued with his story-telling...

thru-out the story-telling...

*kick*kick* kick*..

only stopped when dar finished his short story!!!

Proudly, dar said
"See..bb loves hearing stories from his daddy!!"

mmmmm.....
(2) Was nagging @ Dar this morning abt some silly stuff..
went on and on...

and when i finally finished nagging..
i felt a hard *kick*

told dar and he was pretty amused &

claimed that bb is teaching mummy a lesson

for nagging so much @ his daddy......
mmmm....
am i seeing some kind of “alliance" forming now....

love the show!
love the walk-in wardrobe!
love the diff characters!

somehow relating to the very basic in our lives..

Friends/Love/Marriage/Sex/Individualism..etc

truly enjoyed the show..

~How time flies~

was just browsing thru my previous posts and saw this post on my little wish..brought a little smile after a tiring day @ work c",) to think that, THEN, i was oredi having my little one inside me (w/o realising) and now he is about 21 weeks old.....

While in the dermatology department: their thin soft skin is very red, rather translucent, and a bit wrinkled. Not to worry, it’s not a premature aging disease. It's just their clever little body setting them up with extra space that will smooth out once your little one starts packing on the baby-fat. That won’t be for a few more weeks, though. So for the time being, your munchkin is still a little lean mean growing machine!"
