She got the job!!! Way to go Trina! I am soo thrilled for you! that is a perfect job for you for school and everthing! I am tickled!!

To my sister Liz: I am sorry things at work SUCK! That was more grief than it was worth and I hope things work out otherwise.

To my Sister In Law Michelle: hey Vegas HERE WE COME!!

1. Old men should not wear skimpy PINK swimtrunks or whatever they were and nothing
else but a pink hat! I truely don't need to see this on my way to work! Or anytime for that matter!

2. When the computer is broke it might as well be all the way broke, so we can close the store.
Which we ended up doing in the long run, our servers crashed today. We'll see if they are working tomorrow. Yesterday we learned that someone had cut the phone wires in the complex the store is in and the phones weren't working (I was off yesterday). Then today the server crashed "ran out of Memory!" How that happens I'll never know.

3. Wed. are still better than Mondays

4. Dogs sense things when there are storms coming in, they get stubborn about going outside. It hasn't even started to rain yet, no accidents they just don't want to do ANYTHING! HA HA!

5. Bus drivers should be more careful when turning the corner and not try to take out a pole. I guess it's better than trying to take out a car! I guess that's what happens when you're 10mins late.

6.Dogs are also just like kids, Busters hip keeps giving out on him. He's has arthritis in it, he fell going out tonight, one reason I think he's being stubborn (poor guy!) but as soon as we told him he was going to the vet, he tucked that leg in and pretended not to show it. Who says dog don't understand english!! LOL!

7. When things are bad it's okay to laugh. I got Teresa to laugh really hard when she looked like she was gonna cry about the store. I said "your screwed, and not in a good fun way either!" it was one of the Hallmark moments! LOL!

8. You can be the boss and still have fun. I told Robyn to stop being in a bad mood, she was had her grumpy pants on and I told her so. She started to laugh after that. Then she just bossed me around all day. I guess that's what I get for telling her she's got her grumpy pants on. I know that's gonna come back and bite me one day. But at least everybodys mood improved cause we just laughed about it. I'm still a 'boss'!LOL!

9. Fridays are better than Wed.

10. It's always good to have a vacation to look forward to.

SPRING!
1. Tulips
2. Easter Candy
3. babies (lots of them!) I know three people right now having babies in June or July (no
I'm not one of them!!)
4. It's almost Easter!
5. Sunshine. I think we went straight from winter to summer. Although now we're back to the 70's and 80's instead of the high 90's
6. Snowbirds are almost gone!!!! this is huge in Mesa, they are called winter visitors but everyone calls them SNOWBIRDS! The majority of them live in Mesa, almost next door! LOL!
7. Cool evenings. It's great to be outside especially at night and go for walks and not have to wear a sweater!
8. Everything is green again, from the palm trees to the grass!!
9. Did I mention Easter! It's my FAVORITE holiday!
10. The smell of the Orange Blossoms. It's one of those smells that stays with you. Even when we lived in Utah, you could close your eyes and smell the blossoms in your mind. It's a heavenly smell!

p.s. xrays went good, I don't have my follow up till the 3rd of April, it was the earliest I could get in - so I won't know the results till then.

tomorrow I am finally having my knees xrayed. It's been a problem for many years. I was in a serious car accident where I was thrown from the back window (long story I'll tell one day). I came home early from my church mission with the same problem 10 yrs ago, we just never fixed it, the surgery and recovery is always extensive. The glass will eventually have to come out. I went to the dr on Sat and they are both swollen and making funny noises. Enough to where the dr wants to xray them and see what the damage is. I am kinda relieved because when I went through the medical stuff on my mission and after, it was difficult to find the glass and if that was really what was causing the pains and swelling back then. Who knows, but now we can at least find out more. This seems to be the year for fixing things and finding answers. So that is good. Just pray it's an easy fix! LOL!

2nd thoughts - Ben and Inger are back from Salt Lake City, they've been gone almost longer than the time that Janet has been here. They almost traded places so to speak. So we had a 'welcome home' dinner for them on Sunday. It's nice to have them back. They got a new car. They old one was having problems on the road, it's been needed to get fixed, so they just bought a new one! Too bad I just can't get new knees! HA HA! see it's time to start fixin stuff that's broke.

3rd thoughts - Things seem to be smoothing out with both our jobs. I don't know if I mentioned, I've been upgraded to "Crew Chief/Assistant Manager. I take Robyns job when she leaves in the evening. I stay till we close, to make sure the girls are doing things. They are getting better, we had some issues (not me personally or on a personal issue with anyone) just things that needed to be better. I was a little uncomfortable at first. I didn't want to step on toes or hurt feelings. But it's going good now.
Even Carls job is working it's self out with the new boss. They no longer have to wear ties!! Which is HUGE for their office. They have been in ties for 18yrs (since Noels been there!) the girls no longer have dresses, but she is being strict and letting them know they still have to keep it professional and when they have OA (oral arguement days in the court room with the Justices) they have to wear them. They were just hoping to get business casual Fridays. They were happy with this decision just as well. She seems very nice and very friendly and wanting to work with them.

4th thoughts - VEGAS HERE WE COME!!! We finally booked our room at Circus Circus with Chris and Michelle. I was a little bummed that everyone else backed out and made other plans, but we'll just go with it and we are THRILLED to have Chris and Michelle and baby Annabelle with us. Annabelle will LOVE all the lights and the noises and the fountains. We're still gonna go see the Bodies show. That's the 31st March-2nd of April. We have to be home early for the 2nd of April. OPENING DAY OF BASEBALL! Carls Holiday! LOL! He always takes the day off every year. Last year I believe it was the 4th of April. Oh the 2nd of April is also Moms bday!
We're sooo ready for a vacation!

totally bummed about Amazing Race last night. We've grown to like Rob and Amber. But can't stand Myrna and Charla! It was quite the shocker ending. It was cool that they were at the southern most tip of South America, the End of the World! How cool would that be!

another note, I'm really excited I'm getting the house put together more. I am getting frames put up. I'll take some pictures here tomorrow.oh, speaking of pictures here are some pictures of carls hike on Saturday. They hiked Usery Pass. He, Sue & the boys and Keith and his mom went. I had to work Sat. morning.

if you haven't already. I won't spoil it for anyone, but even if your not a rider it's still really funny. We appreciated the humor because we've done Sturgis and many other runs. But the movie is pee your pants funny! LOL! Not to mention it's gonna have a great soundtrack.
In honor of the movie, I wanted to post a few pics of our Harley riding days. The first is my one of my FAVORITE pictures of my siblings and their wives and yes the girls ride too. (most of them). Mike and Jen are also in the background with little Austin. He's not so little anymore this was only a few years ago.
The other one is me and michelle, (kees in the background) not a great picture of me, because as you can see nothing fit!
I was wearing michelles leathers. I now have my own boots and jacket, but I haven't used thesince we of course moved!

So Robyn (my boss) was helping her girls with a school project last night. I guess in the Jr. High
they are doing the decades in history. Their assignment is to take one decade or be assigned a decade. Robyn's daughters have the 60's. Phyllis was tellin' us earlier in the day that her daughter got the 80's! They are talking about the 80's in HISTORY class!! Oh man! Does that age me, us! LOL! I guess she was looking for 80's music (her daughter was) online but she didn't want to pay for them. I told her all I have on my IPOD is 80's stuff (along with some country). I also have a ton of cds! I told her she's welcome to them. I still can't believe it's part of the HISTORY lesson!! LOL!

where to start?
We are home from the hospital. Janet had a few scarey days, but she's home and recovering nicely. She has an underactive thyroid rather than an overactive thyroid. We had thought the opposite. She is doing follow up appts. in Salt Lake City. in the next couple of weeks. She's on lots of medication and seems to be doing a lot better. She just has to learn to take it slow and let herself get the rest and recovery she needs and make sure to see the doctor about the test results of the nuclear test. We won't know for a couple of weeks. It's a new test they are doing so it's taking a little longer. The medication she is on is giving her some side effects but nothing major.
It's been a LONG HARD week. Herb made it on Friday and they will head back to Salt Lake tomorrow morning.
I have a class on Tues. which I totally spaced. I knew I had it, but but I thought I had another week. I didn't realize March 6th is Tues! But the plus is I have two more people in the class, so it was worth putting it off till the 6th and I already have two kits prepared. I just have to do two more, but I might do one more extra just incase. I can always sell it later.
Thurs and Friday were hard days for Carl with the retirement. The office was a lot more emotional than most of them them thought it would be. That's what happens when you become good friends not just co-workers. I'll post some pictures here in a bit.
For the most things will get back to normal for everyone next week. My family will possibly be here on the 12th. Instead of going to Vegas to see the Bodies show, they may see the one here in Phoenix instead. Shea wants to see it here and would rather come here, and it's his spring break. So I am hoping they decide to come here. It would be him and angel and the babies that stay with us. Which would be a blast!! So Shea and Angel COME HERE!!!! It's also Angels bday on the 12th, so it would a lot of fun!! Carl and I still might do Vegas on our own just because we NEEED a vacation at the end of March anyway. We have the time off. So we'll see what happens. Life changes in the blink of an eye sometimes and you never know what happens sometimes and sometimes that's half the fun! RIGHT?!!!
