My quote of the day cracked me up! LOL! I am home with the flue/headcold today. Thank you Carl, and everyone who's had it at work! I didn't feel so hot this week, I just have been fighting it off and trying soo hard not to call in. But this morning my stomach was all messed up again. Fortunately Luis was pretty cool about it.

I do like the evening shift a little better, it's like when I was with Bayer. When Jen and I worked the late shift till 12:30am. I don't like the craziness during the day. We went for about half hour without calls last night after 6pm. so I just tried to finish my book. I really like this Catherine Coulter FBI series, I am reading right now.

It's been a busy news day. That's what happens when your home all day. I feel asleep watching the Warren Jeffs press confrence and then catching the latest on Hurricane Ernesto(however ya spell it.) I am going to call work in the morning and see if Luis still wants me to come in earlier and see if our Miami center was evacuated. They've down graded the storm so I don't know if they'll be pushin over time still. Although now it will be an extra hour for me, since I missed today.

It was one of those do much of nothing kinda days. Christy was supposed to come over but didn't. I won't even go into that, because it will just raise my blood pressure.

We were all gung ho to go to Stake Confrence and that didn't happen either. We just crashed. It's been so crazy the last couple of weeks, I think we just needed to hang out. Carl fell asleep earlier this afternoon. It was so funny, he comes in about an hour ago, just perplexed, he says "I am over stimulated!" He had James Bond, John Wayne movies, StarWars and Pirates and a baseball game on all at the same time. He doesn't know which to watch so he's watching all of them!! We found out today that popcorn is an approved snack for his cholesterol! It has 0 grams of fat and 0 grams of cholesterol! LOL! I think we can be pretty excited about that! (we won't mention the butter!)

Today was good, everyone is feeling a little better. Just tired. Buster is slowly getting back to himself. Bilko had his check up today. It was not the two usual vets we get, but some lady vet.
She said Bilko has a heart murmur!!? I didn't agree with her. I didn't say that in the office, but when we left. But then after talking to my mom she said Edie has one. But she was suprised as well. Bilko has been in excellent health. I am going to get a 2nd opinion from his real vet Dr. Noe.
I think he knows him better. Buster was the talk of the vet office. I guess he was a pretty happy
camper when he woke up in the recovery room! The nurses came in and asked how he was doing! They said how good he was and how funny his personality is and that he just rolled over and let them do their stuff! See he's a good dog!
I won't panic about Bilko until we see his regular dr!

Otherwise it's been a pretty relaxing day. We went and looked at camping stuff. I was tempted to buy the small dutch oven that they had a Sportsmans Wherehouse. But we are going to wait and price them out. Carl and I really want to learn how to do it.
Then we had an early dinner at Charlestons, this steak place we like. We tried to go see the new
Will Farrell movie or the new football one (I can't think of the name of it,) with Mark Whalberg but they were both sold out. So Carl bought a Star Trek series and we just crashed at home.

Tomorrow is Stake Confrence, so I don't have to teach. But I will next week. And next week we get to start going to church at 9am instead of 1pm!! YEAH!! We are so excited!!

I feel better at work than I have since I started. But I am still not sure if I like it. I also got my new schedule, 11:30 -7:30, not sure I like that, but we don't have to do weekends, so that will be good. Physically I didn't feel so good this morning. Lisa (one of the Superv.) was gonna let me go home after lunch because we didn't have any calls, but I stuck it out. Carls been fighting off a cold but he's feelin better today.

Buster had his surgery this afternoon. Carl dropped him off on his way into work. He's having his ear procedure done. The Vet said he did very well. Carl said he growled at the vet at first but he was okay when he left. The vet said he stayed pretty calm and let them work on him until it was time to put him under. I am glad they did the stuff to knock him out.Although that was more expensive than the procedure itself! Busters got a pretty mellow personality so he kinda just rolls over for ya if he's got your attention. He's still pretty sedated when Carl picked him up, then he picked me up. Buster had a little trouble walking in the house and Carl said he fell off the seat in the car twice. I feel so bad for him but hopefully now his ears will clear up and he can hear better and we don't have to do this every 6months or so. He's sleeping now.The funny part the 3rd prescription, we have to get filled at Walgreens! LOL! I wanna know if they can take our insurance! HA HA!

Bilko goes in in the morning to have his check up and his shots updated. I am just glad that now we can afford to take them in and getting them taken care of. They are our kids. Bilko did okay by himself today. We both agreed that we were almost more worried about Bilko being by himself today than Buster and his procedure. But we have the best dogs!!

What a week it has been. Sorry I haven't been blogging as much as I used to. I sort of felt like I had the wind taken out of my sails, with work. I am still adjusting. But doing better. I even compliment from a travel agent to my supervisor on Friday. So that was nice. I must be doing something right.

Friday night was a blast! We had a ward Elders Quorum party. We met at someones house. They have a theatre in their basement, so we had a BBQUE and watched a movie. We were going to rent Church ball, but we couldn't get it, so we ended watching. Italian Job. I have decided is one of my favorite action movies. We had about 35-40 people come! It was a lot of fun. We sat with the Keelers and the Booths. Carl works with Bryce Keeler. Bryce is the Elders Quorum pres. and Carl is the seceratary. Bro. Ken Booth is the 2nd counselor in the bishopric and Janette is the 2nd counselor in the Relief Society. Their son Jayden is my class. Usually the three of us sit together at church functions. We are relativly the same age. It's funny because we are now calling each other by their first names, but it's hard because I know we have calling and are supposed to call them Bro and Sis - Janette told me on Friday they had the same conversation, but now we've decided unless kids are around (to show respect) that it's okay to call each other by our first names.

Then on Sat morning we went camping with Holly and Zane. That was wonderful! It was nice to get away from EVERYTHING for a little bit. Even if it's just for a day. It seems time stands still when you're up in the mountians. We went up to Woods Lake Canyon which is just outside of Payson. Holly and Zane went up on Friday to find a spot. We didn't go with them then because of the function Friday night. Christy met us Saturday morning and went up with us.

It was perfect weather. and BEAUTIFUL!! I'll post some pics here in a bit, I am still uploading
them. The funniest thing was though, we got to the visitors center to wait for Holly and Zane to take us up to the camp site. I somehow kicked the car door or got out wrong or something and smashed my two middle twos. I thought I had just jammed them. This morning I am learning they are broken!! They are nice pretty shades of black and purple all the way to the top part of my foot. It doesn't really hurt it's just complicated to walk, without putting pressure on it.
Holly had me bandage them, but it hurt to put the bandage on.
Bilko wasn't so sure he liked camping at all. He kept heading for the car. Buster would find the sunny spots or the camping chair and hang out or sleep he seemed to be enjoying the cooler air.
Zane is the pro dutch oven cooker. We had hobo dinners for lunch (yummy!) and then he made a whole chicken with potatoes and bacon and onions. It was soo good! Then we had the apple cobbler! I think that's also one of the best things about camping is the eating part! This morning we were up at about 6:00. It was chilly but it wasn't freezing. We expected it to be colder. This is NORTHERN Arizona mind you!LOL! It was a gorgeous camp site. We had two neighbors, but they were the perfect distance away.
We were in a canyon so sound echoed easily. It was a nice way to sort of recoop from a crazy week. Carls not feelin so hot and my foots really swollen, but our brains aren't going nintey miles an hour. We definately want to do more camping.

It's my Party!
It's my bday! So we got fed to the sharks at work today. We are still supposed to be 'nesting' for the next two weeks, and we have a choice to take calls or type and someone sits with us. We weren't able to actually do so today because there were only 3 group agents on the floor this morning. They had a whole bunch of people quit last week. INSANE! Once I got going, I was sorta okay. I just don't know the system well enough yet, so I wasn't sure on a lot of things. I was kinda ticked, one girl Kari is really cool. But Brandi, even though she was helpful, kept telling me "don't put them on hold, it's bad to put them on hold" when my trainer and even Louis our other supervisor said we could put them on hold all we needed to so we could get help if we needed it. So I was kinda ticked cause she was kinda rude about it. I told Carl, tomorrow, I am just going to tell her, that both Mary and Luis said it was okay to put them on hold. If she gives me abad time about it tomorrow. The Travel agents were very nice. Even one lady we had two different categories and sail dates, I was quoting her for two people (how we are supposed to) but she didn't tell me she wanted just one. I apologized for not understanding and she was really cool then. She totally said it's confusing especially when you have two bookings. So that was nice. Then I had a really funny guy who had three different things he was doing and didn't have a clue what HE was doing! But I helped them both and they were greatful. So I guess in all that's the good thing.Tomorrow I am going to see if I can sit with someone and have them point and just tell me where to go, so I can learn the system a little better. I am not sure if I liked work today!

Nobody at work knew that it was my birthday and that's okay. But after work, I stopped at Staples and got some stuff for my desk. They give us the basics, but I wanted to personalize it.
I didn't bring my pics today but I will tomorrow. Then we had dinner with Dave and Julie Kosta. Long time family friends. I think I have known them almost all my life. We knew them back in Utah and then they moved to Arizona shortly after that. We touch base with them every so often and they just got back from Utah staying at my parents house. They treated us to a bday dinner, compliments of my mom (since it's Dave's bday on Sat too.) THANK YOU MOM! THANK YOU KOSTA'S!! You guys rock! We went to this new yummy italian placeby work. We have never been there before called Caraba. AZ people it's by the Outback out by Superstition.
It's EXCELLENT!!
Then as we were driving home it started to rain!! Yeah! I am glad for that! It sounds like it's starting to thunder now. The last few nights we've had a lightening show. On night Friday or Sat I think it was is POURED! It hasnt done that in a long time!! It would be nice if it does that again.

I'M DONE!!
I can't believe the four week training is OVER!! And I PASSED!! With flying colors there. I was worried there for a bit because of the 2nd test. But I got a 98% on the one a few days ago and then 97% on my oral. So I was in good shape! I was not nervous about my oral at first today, but then as we were sitting there I got REALLY nervous! I got really shakey. A lot of that was due to the fact that I was still fighting off another full blown migrane! Also part of the reason I haven't been blogging much this week! I had two full blown migranes this week. Throwing up and the whole nine yards. Yesterdays' kinda snuck up on me. Fortunately it was by the time I got home, but it was still lingering.

I was quite thrilled with my scores! They treated us to lunch at Chipotles. I rode over with Christina. Keith was supposed to go with us, but we couldn't find him. We found out when we got there that he and Kevin had gone together. They have become good friends. Christina and I have hit it off too. She's a little bit older than me, but that's okay. We seem to get along really good. And Sandy too. Christina gave me some medication that she takes for migranes. By the time we got back from lunch I was feelin pretty good. So I might mention that to the doctor.

The stress is pretty much gone. And it still wasn't as stressful as Bayer or Southwest. We even got our desks today. They are good sizes and we have PLENTY of room! We can spread out. I want to get some stuff for it this weekend. I also got my first real paycheck that I've had in a LONG TIME!!

This morning's football draft went VERY well. Christy came over just as it was starting so we could help get her going and get her players. I got everybody I wanted except for a few Seattle players. But for the most part I am all Green Bay. I may switch Brandon Stockley from IND with Ahman Green depending on how it goes with Green Bay! I am praying they have a better season than they did last year. I am hoping with the new coach and most of their players back in the line up, it will be good. I do have the Seattle defensive team. Just because I think I will get more points off it. I am not happy that somehow I wound up with Dallas defense as my reserve. I don't even want them in my lineup. But at least they are my reserve. Maybe I can trade them later on. Ok I won't bore you with any more football details. For now! The Hall of Fame game is tomorrow. It might be bad to watch it, I might REALLY get excited for football, more so than I am! I am almost thinking August/Sept is my favorite time of year for that reason.

oh, I did get a chance to talk to Kait this afternoon. She called me. It was good to talk to her and her that she is 'okay'. As good as she can be considering. She is very open about what happened to Duncan. It's so sad, especially when you do have a good support group and you don't realize how good you do have it. But I have been there myself, (I don't talk about it much with ANYONE) so I know it's hard not to get wrapped up in how you FEEL at the current moment. It's depression and it's hard to understand. Even to those who have it or have had itI am glad she can talk about what happened and be open about it.. My heart goes out to them. I hope that Kait has peace. It's okay to be angry and it's okay to be sad and it's okay just to be okay too.

On other notes, we did get a lot accomplished. We have been looking at furniture for alittle while just to get an idea of what we want. In the evening we went swimming at it was SOO nice. The water is like bath water! It was so funny in talking to Kait I was telling her we are having a 'cooling wave'. I said 'it's only a 105degrees today!' she laughed and said 'do you hear yourself!' LOL! It's crazy when we thing a 105 is a cool wave!

RELIEF!!!!
I can breathe easy today!!HUGE RELIEF! I thought I was gonna pass out at break today after our test, waiting for our test scores. I was really nervous. Then I was more nervous, because as soon as I sat down after handing her my test, I realized I had forgotten to change the code in my user notes!! I thought for sure I was doomed. I got a 92%!! YEAH!! So now my average is 90.4!! So I am passing! I could be a little higher, but that's okay! I feel a little better. It was so funny cause when we were waiting for our scores, I told I was having flashbacks of a Christmas story with the teacher laughing and writing his bad score on the board a bunch of times!! She thought that was pretty funny! Then we couldn't remember what score Ralphie really gets. Is it C-?! Does anyone remember?! So we were all feelin pretty good, till she threw us for a loop and started on Land Packages. We were supposed to do it yesterday, but anything that could go wrong yesterday did, and the system wouldn't work. Anyway we were getting Land Packages confused with Transfers, because they use kinda the same lingo. Pre and post and all that. But she wanted to finish it before the weekend so she wanted to make sure we understood it. I am still not a 100% sure, but she said we would go over it more on Monday for everybody.

On a really good note and another HUGE RELIEF - they caught the sniper (s). As we are finding out there are two! They are friends. One was doing the driving and one was doing the shooting. I don't get it. Apparently they are also linking them to the Walmart fires at the first of June. I couldn't figure out why we didn't hear about those but it was because we were on our cruise! They arrested the two guys less than two miles from here, late last night, early this morning.

Tomorrow - is our fantasy football draft! I am sooo ready for football. I think this weekend I am going to put my blog in Packer colors to kick off the season! I got Keith (at work) to sign up, so we were looking at players and stats on our breaks today. He's really cool, except that he's a Chicago fan! I won't hold that against him! LOL! Now if he were a Vikings fan that might be different!

He and Kevin and Danielle, keep us in stitches in class! The new thing is Skittles. They eat them for brain food! It's becoming a joke in class, so I think on monday I am going to take a big bag of Skittles.
