The week Has gone to The Dogs!
It's FRIDAY!! I survived my first week of working full time - for the first time in three years! As you can tell I finally found doggie graphics I was looking for my blog! Aren't they cute!! I am searching for more and fun dog sites, so if anyone has any feel free to post them or email them to me!
I haven't been able to do much this week. We had institue again on Thur and we were quite intriqued by this week's lesson. It's a different way to look at the BOM. I miss Seminary - this is an EXCELLENT replacement and I really like Sis. Farnsworth! The Bishop actually came to this weeks class. We have a great friendship with them. I am so excited. It seems that for the most (with the exception of one) there has been wonderful friendships with Bishops and a deep connection. I am thankful for the leadership in our church!
The fulltime did not kick my butt as much as I was expecting it too, and I SOO don't miss taking the bus home. Especially since it's warmed back up to a 110 this week with no rain.
It's Stake Confrence this weekend and there have been rumors of reorganizing the Stake. They just reorganized most of our ward last Sunday. And Elder Pace will be speaking!
Other than that we are just crashing for a change. I am sure the dogs will be glad to have us home for a few days! They love Sundays! And we're not doing Sunday night dinner. Not that I don't enjoy it, we're just pooped! But it's been a good week!

Sunday Sunday
Church was soooo boring today. Bro Denten (the former 2nd counselor) spoke and put most of us to sleep. Even the Bishop was having a hard time staying awake!
I made my pizza again, we did pizza at Holly and Julie's and Ben and Inger and Zane. They also had the Sister Missionaries over. The pizza was a HUGE hit. We decided we are going to do the BYU/UTAH party there and I'll do my pizza again. The dough is so easy to do!I really need to get new baking things one of these days. A pizza stone would be good too.
I did take a few new pics of the dogs. Buster soo does not like his picture taken! He's like a little kid, but then Bilko does!
We also went to the temple on Saturday morning with Julie and Inger and Zane. We went at sunrise and I got this awsome picture of the temple. It has been a very busy weekend. Then after the temple we went to a bakery with them. We are trying to find a lot of local places to go to instead of just chains all the time. We took Carls suit to the dry cleaners, went to Costco, the bookstore and grocery store for the pizza stuff!!See it was a busy day!
I was soo tired when I got home yesterday that I actually went to take a nap and I NEVER take naps! I slept for two hours.
Oh and the short story for the lack of sleep - We went out with Zane and Holly and Julie the night before (friday). We didn't get home till almost 11pm. Well as I was straightening up the house, (because I knew I wouldn't have time to do it, Saturday) I just happened to notice the answering machine was flashing. So I noticed it was work. We have late night crops on Friday, I thought it was a little odd that they had called at 10:00 pm. So I called Michelle. She said I had left work in such a hurry after buying my stuff to finish a little notebook for Alexis, I left my wallet. Well, I could have picked up it up later the next day but it had my temple recommend in it! I needed it - since we we're doing the 7:00 am session.I was soo glad Michelle was going to be there till midnight anyway! So we drove to work to get my wallet. It was 1145 pm!! We had to get up at 5am!
But I got it and we were still able to go to the temple.
Later we found out it was a good thing we had gone to that session because Bro Denton mentioned that when they got there Saturday morning, the Chappel was full and they had to wait for the next sessions!
The dogs have been in the funniest mood lately! Buster just wants to play and Bilko just wants to sit right next to one of us all the time.
It's nice though - I've actually been able to do some scrapbooking and that's nice too!

The LOOOOONGER DAY!
HA HA! See I told you it was a long day! I just remembered, Carl
got his test results back from the doctor. He has a sprain, which is good, we'd rather have a sprain than Carpel Tunnel. He is being good though and following the orders to wear the brace the whole two weeks so it heals properly even though it's itching and driving him crazy because he's right handed!

The LONG DAY!
I don't know why today was soo long! Even at 10am it was LONG! Robyn and I were going over schedules. It's a big headache, with the college girls gone. That's gonna totally suck for a while, especially since they are going to start Sunday Rotations again till they can hire someone. But there are five of us that will be rotating so we'll only have to do it every fifth Sunday. I am going to full time for while. Mostly to help them out later in the afternoon. So I'll now be doing 9-6 everyday including Tues. The nice part is Robyn said on Days when we are slow and we have coverage I will be the first to go home. So it will be pretty flexiable. Or if I needed to come in later or earlier or something - she didn't have a problem with that. That's one of the BIG perks with this job as well.
Tonight was fun. We went to Institue. We had it at the Mtn. View Seminary building, or we were supposed to, but we couldn't get in, for some reason the key wasn't working, so we moved over to the Stake Center. As soon as we pulled up to the Seminary and got out. Sis Becky Ray said "well, look who's here!" She gave me a HUGE hug! She was my old mutal advisor, several times, and camp director, and I babysat her kids too. I introduced her to Carl. She said "so is it wierd being back in the Stake?!" I said "Yes, but very nice!".. She asked how everyone was doing, especially my mom.
After the class I talked to Sis Farnsworth. She said I looked familiar but she didn't know why and she didn't recognize my married name when we introduced ourselves. She asked how my mom was and how my siblings were. I apologized for playing golf in her hallway! She laughed and said her boys have done enough damage to have the wall replaced more than once! LOL! Her class was very good, I hope I can stay awake for the whole hour and half. I really enjoy it, but my attention span is terrible! LOL!

Oops forgot the title post today!
Ok I think I finally found a template I like! lol! We'll see, but look at my cute pooh counter down below!
Yesterday was funner than today! Is funner a word?! I went to the temple with my Aunt in the morning. We had only planned on being there maybe an hour or two at the most -3hrs later! But it was alright. Its peaceful work! Then she took me to Pei Wei's for lunch. She doesn't get to go there any more, since Dale doesn't like it so it was nice that I picked that place.
She wanted me drive the Jetta home, but I told her I couldn't live with myself if anything happened to it! (carl was not happy when I told him I didn't drive the JETTA. After all its a JETTA! lol!)
Christy was going to come over to highlight my hair but she got sick. I was soo SICK of my hair, I went to the hair cut place to at least get it cut.I am NOT happy with it! The girl cut it way too short and did not do any layers in it!
Hopefully it will grow back.

I got the photo CD's from mom, for my bday today! THANK YOU MOM! I will be busy for some time! That's really all I needed! And the lavendar pillow will be good too! Its also Michelles bday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLE yesterday!
On a funny note, we stopped at McDonalds for dinner, I wasn't feeling good (with an allergy headache). For some reason we thought the lids didn't seem right on our drinks! Well it wasn't until after I had finished my coke and putting things away, I took the lids off the cup to throw them away and this is what I found! Both drinks were like that! They each had two cups! We must have been tired because we thought it was funny!

The Good Day!

It was so nice - my birthday sort of lasted two days! Carl and I went shopping on Saturday and took the dogs to the groomers. It went REALLY bad! I feel so bad for Buster he has NO TAIL! And look at their poor ears! They aren't hot anymore!

On the uspide Carls doctor called. His Crestor is working, but he wants to try something new. The nurse wasn't sure if he wanted to both or just wanted to start the new so she's going to call back. His hand is still swollen and sore so he is going in this week.

I had an EXCELLENT birthday! Carl got me a REALLY pretty temple dress! It's very elegant but not too lacy and not to girly. It has a very simple white flower print on it and the best part was the price and that it's a two piece a skirt and button top. THe button top has white lace at the bottom.Julie his cousin is going to hem it for me. We also went shopping at Penney's I got some new shirts and one to go with my skirt for church. Then we had dinner at Vitos. That was yesterday.

Today we woke up to a little bit of rain and VERY overcast. It didn't do any thing, and was cleared up by the time we got out of church. I was kinda bummed. But on the plus side, it was A LOT cooler! Only 82!So that was nice! oh our church block has now been changed - we are going to the 1pm block! The good t hing about that is that we can still catch the Packer games in the mornings! So we won't miss too much of football My family also all called to wish me a Happy Birthday! That was soo NICE. It made my day especially to talk to everyone one on one! I miss everyone A LOT! I hope they come down here again to visit - especially since it's starting to cool off!

Christy made me dinner tonight and Holly and Julie were there. Julie took my dress. We are all going to the temple on Sat. morning. I'm really really tired! But it's been a VERY VERY Good weekend! THANK you every body! From the bottom of my heart!

TGIF!
YEAH! It's Friday!
I got another gift certificate from work for my bday! $25! WAHOO!
How cool is that. We got some really cute new papers and ribbons so I bought most of the line. I spent yesterday and today making cards! And I still have half of it left!
Tomorrow the dogs are going to the groomer and I'm going shopping. I might even get my hair cut, if I'm feelin brave. It always gets so long and full, but I am ready for a change! I think on Sunday (my actual bday!) I'll take some of that chunking stuff to Christy and have her do it again.
On the other hand. I am a little concerned about Carl. His left wrist is a little swollen and been bothering him. He won't tell me, but he's having a hard time lifting things. He had his blood work done for his cholesterol, on Mon. The nurse called him back today and said they wanted to talk to him about it. So now we're both worried. I'm sure they just want to get him to lower it a little more, before he's off the crestor all together. They don't know about his hand. He has a doctors appointment for it this week. Its just puffy and a little blue, I told him to ice it and take Ibprofren. That helps. He's going to try and call the nurse tomorrow,I hope that someone is there tomorrow.

Tut...Tut it looks like Rain!

Another Big Monsoon storm rolled in about 3pm. More rain this time. Most of the streets in Mesa flooded. I was getting a little nervous, the ground around us was filled to the curb. The thunder was louder this time. There was one, that shook the house. It scared the dogs more than it did me. The rain totals came in with Mesa at the top, we got a little over 2 inches!
I got a gift certificate from Herb and Janet today! Thanks guys! I'll probably go by me a new Sunday dress and anothe pair of capris.
I also made homemade pizza! It actually was very good. Carl and I, were pleasantly suprised! I actually liked this dough better than the dough recipe for my rolls. I had enough to do a large pizza. I even fiqured out how to get it round. It was really easier than it looks! I had enough dough left over - so I made breadsticks.
It was kinda strange evening, we were headed out the door to go to Target and I heard a crackling noise, the tree in front of our apartment, came out of the ground! It was a good size tree!Missed me by inches. I was waiting for Carl to lock the door! The grass area is flooded with all the rain and I guess the tree was a little water logged. There was no wind, just all that water!
The dogs went outside, which is unusual because when it rains, they don't. But when I went to bring them in, Busters butt was covered in black mud! I guess he had to find a nice dirty spot to sit!

Playing in Traffic!
I got to play in traffic tonight! By choice! Well sort of! We went out and practiced my driving. We go to this business complex, I think I've mentioned it before. It's good, because it has lots of stop signs and turns.
But Carl suprised me tonight and wanted me to drive out in traffic. He had me turn out on Mckellips first. (a main st we live off of). And then back in, then HE got brave and had me drive out on to Greenfield. He had me drive the other LDS stake center up the street on Adobe. I had lots of cars around me. But I didn't panic. My heart wasn't really pounding but my legs and arms still get really shakey and numb. But it's getting easier. My left turns are really good, but my right turns still need work.
It rained most of the this morning. At least in the east valley it did. Although I talked to Uncle Dale tonight and he mentioned they have been getting a lot of it as well over in North East Phoenix. Cassie moves into an apartment over by MCC next week, so it will be nice to have her a little closer!

Sunday Suprises!
What an exciting day today! First we had changes at church. We had been forewarned - by Bishop Pothier that things were going to change, he just didn't say what. For a while I was worried that he was going to be released. He has been sooo wonderful and become a good friend. For that
I am so thankful! After we had met with him last week, he reassured Carl that HE wasn't going anywhere, but his counselors were changing.
So this morning - they released both our 1st and 2nd counselor. It was no suprise really of who did get the new callings.
We also are part of a new class for Sunday School - and I'm kinda glad. Gospel Doctorine, gets a little boring for me. We are now in Family Relations! HA HA! I don't know why I think that's funny!LOL! They called us on Tue and asked if we would attend. So we went to day and Sis. Bowman is the teacher. She used to be the Relief Society Pres. She is a very nice lady, she is the first person that came over and welcomed us into the ward, a year or so ago. So it was nice to have another familiar face. The class is small and mostly young couples and the Bradshaws and the Bowmans! Older couples! lol! I guess they want to mix it up. But it's nice!
More good news, Chris Im'd me this afternoon and informed me that Michelle is 'great with child!!!' I am EXTACTIC for them!!! I am a little shocked but I think it's WONDERFUL news. I think it's really cool that she and Angel will share some of the pregnancy stuff and have babies very close in age. Now most of the cousins will be close together! I think she's going to have a girl! I hope that's okay with you Michelle! LOL!
Btw - Angel I love the names you have come up with as well. Bella is my favorite, but of course we will love any of it! Boy,Mr Stork has been busy in their families! LOL! But I am soo excited!
I also made a fantastic dinner if I do say so myself. I am really enjoying cooking, especially baking. I made Baked Potatoe Soup. It was YUMMY. I added heavy cream to it, to make it creamy and richer. I also used green onions instead of white and it gave it a lot more flavor. I also made bread again from scratch. I need to get a really nice mixer and new baking tins. Stuff like that. I'd really like to take a cooking class. Maybe this fall. That would be a lot of fun!

A Peaceful Easy Feeling
It's been a good Saturday. We got up really early to do a 6:30 am Temple session. We met Karen there. I was a little nervous because it had been a while, but I was fine and remembered more than I thought I would. I felt bad for Karen. It's a lot further of a drive for her. I guess she hurt her back the night before, but she really wanted to be with us this morning. It was a wonderful time and experience. The only little problem was for some reason one room was extremely WARM. Karen said she thought she was gonna pass out at one point. Fortunatley it was just the one room.
I have developed an ear infection. I have tried to schedule a drs appointment for today so I could get my medication changed, but our dr has changed his hours and he's at the office further away more often. So I'm undecided there.
We went and saw Dukes of Hazzard this afternoon. I guess the only good thing about it was it was a totally brainless obnoxious movie.
We had dinner with Dian and Tish tonight. It was fun. We met them half way. They are the other side of the valley so we can meet in between. Now with the new freeway it's a little easier for them.
I am soo thankful for the friends we have! They are wonderful people!

and the Thunder Rolls...
WOW! We are getting quite the storm! Our parking lot is flooded and so is our patio. We have power, but the intersection above us does not. The thunder has been going for about an hour now. The dogs are a little nervous. For other reasons too. I'll explain in a minute. This was the storm we've been hopin for since we moved here! I am soo excited! I am one of the few people who gets all excited when there's bad weather!LOL!
Well, I was home today and finishing trimming the dogs and baths. They are feeling much better or so I thought. This eveing after Buster came in from being outside he looked like he was still trying to poop. He was having a lot of trouble, but tryin to come in the house at the same time. Not to be gross again, but I've never seen a poop so big! He was really blotted and clogged. I tried to clean him up the best I could. He was panting really hard and his nose was dry. His eyes didn't look right. It scared me. I've been watchin both of them the last couple days since they've been throwin up. Carl called the emergency vet. She told us to give him two teaspoons of pumpkin. All I had was pumpkin mix but she said it had to be the natural stuff. So Carl and I ran to the store. The dust storm came in and came in fast. All of sudden the tempature dropped.
We hurried in and out.
We got Buster his stuff . It was kinda funny I tried to give it to him but he wanted it straight off the spoon. He was trying to eat it off the spoon like a human rather than licking it off! He seemed to like it though. I just hope he'll go out later. He saw that it was raining outside and just looked at me and turned the other way! It might be a long night!
