We got an invite on our door at about 3 this afternoon, for a neighborhood bbque in the apart complex from people in the ward. We already dinner planned, so we just decided we go over and meet more people from the apartments and the ward. It was a small little gathering.
We were talking to one of the Elders Quorum teachers (that teaches the week Carl doesn't). I didn't realize that I was standing on an ant hill. My foot was crawling with ants. I had to stick my feet in the pool. It was the closets thing to water! lol! Carl got a few but not as many as I did. We didn't stay at the party very long. But it was nice to go.
I went driving again tonight. I am trying to get more comfortable with it. I feel like a teenager all over again. My legs still turn to jello, but this time not as bad. Carl and I found a really nice big business park I can drive around in. He said I was much better this time, because I wasn't as nervous. My right turns aren't so good. My left turns are fine, but for some reason I have trouble with my right turns. I just feel like such a kid, when I'm driving. It's so HARD for me. But I am determined to overcome this fear! It was a good thing we stopped when we did because it started to lightly rain when we were on our way home.

So today was all good and dandy. I got off on a good start. Well except finishing Harry Potter 6, The Half Blood Prince. (I'll go into that more later!) I start my head home. Now normally I pick up the #108 on Elliott and ValVista less than a block from work. I normally wait about 5-8 mins. Well 10 min late I start to wonder. 22 min late I start to panick.This bus runs every hour. It's 3:26 and my bus on Gilbert and Elliott, gets there at 3:36. I normally wait about the same time there. So I call the bus people. They tell me its running 20-25 min late. Finally at 3:28 it shows up. So I fiqured I could catch the one at 3:36 maybe if it's running late. Well wouldn't you know it the one day it's on time. So I finally get to the Gilbert stop it's 3:40. No bus. I fiqured I had just missed the 3:36! By this time it's a 112 degrees outside - and today no over cast clouds! So now I have to wait for the 4:06 bus at Gilbert. I see three buses within 20 min time period go the opposite direction. I thought that's odd - they run every half hour on this route. Well now it's 4:16 and I'm getting a little irrated. So I call the bus people. They can't FIND the 4:06 bus!! They send no replacement bus but say I've gotta wait for the NEXT friggin bus! That was at 4:36 if it shows up and it's on time! Oh and has air conditioning! Sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't That should be illegal in this state!!
FINALLY at 4:36 (the time I normally am home by 4:14).So I'm pissed by this point. and HOT. I had drank most of my water, but was tryin to save some because when the buses don't have air sometimes that's worse.
There was another lady with me, that was kinda laughin about how absurd it was that none of the buses in this town work. We get back to Val Vista and panick. By this time it's just me the lady and the bus driver on the bus. We had been talking about how we missed both buses. He informed us that the later bus takes a detour and goes down past the Williams Air Force Base and Boeing!! That was another 1/2hr!!!! I started laughing. I was talking to Carl and just laughing. Ya know when you get to the point ya just have to laugh! Yea I was there!
Carl beat me home - WITH the carpoolers dropped off and picked me up at the bus stop!!

Tuesdays are almost my favorite day of the week - next to Saturdays!
I actually got quite a bit done today.
I spent this morning cleaning and vacumming the house. Then played online for awhile and then tried to take some pictures this afternoon of the dogs. They don't like the flash!
Oh and the apartment people came over to help me fiqure out what the heck the knocking noise is in the office. We've been hearing for the last couple weeks! It's louder at night. And wouldn't you know it as soon as they got here the noise stopped. Well, finally after they left, concluding that 1. it was the air conditioner, something in the wall. 2. a gerbil or a hamster lived in the wall. Finally when they left the air came back on and the noise grew louder. If I turned the air down, the air got louder still. Which is why it's lounder at night!
I told Judy (the office manager, who came over with maintance). and she said the maintance guy thought the same thing! So I am glad to know I'm Not TOTALLY crazy! Hopefully it can be fixed!
About three or four this afternoon the big fluffy clouds came rollin in from the North East. Like they have every night for the past week. How they can NOT produce rain is beyond me! Just blow a lot of dust around. They sky gets really black for about an hour.
Bilko threw up again three times. So I gave him the rice again and that seems to do the trick. If it keeps up we'll take him in on Saturday. But he eats the rice and then seems fine again. I don't know if there is much we can do except the rice - for a stomach virus.
On a lighter note - we had dinner with Ryan and Becky Blake! They were in town. Carl forgot to mention - till yesterday afternoon! LOL! We were meeting them at Peter Piper Pizza because all the little kid cousins of Beckys were having a party there.
It was ok, we just sat and chatted with them for an about an hour or two. .
