People ask, what do I love about Korea for a holiday?
Food, Fashion, Culture, Weather, Picture Spots
Food
Yes, the food does not look good on pictures, but I really really love how flavourful it is. You may find Gochujang paste in most of the food there (spicy miso). Most meals come in a huge portion (or min. of two portion, so it is great for sharing! Prices are reasonable too, the meals are on an average of KRW30,000 (~SGD35) for two in average restaurant.
1) Jjimdak
I had tried two of the more popular restaurants that serves Jjimdak before. However I still prefer the first one more.
The first restaurant that serves Jjiamdak is YEOLBONG JJIMDAK.
They have many outlets in Seoul all around the area where tourist will head to. I headed to the outlet around Ewha University area.
This is the logo of the restaurant, I remember it as the "chicken hug chilli logo"
Not of fan of super spicy food (although I take tomyum, curry, but not the kind of person who will add extra chilli) , I would take the less spicy option (Level 1). I had tried Level 2 but it was too spicy for my liking.
If you dislike to de-bone chicken, you may opt for the boneless chicken. The dish serves with cellophane noodles at the bottom of the dish and you could opt for it to be thick or thin. Personally, I love the thicker version it makes the noodles much more chewy and bouncy.
The restaurant serves this rice bowl as well. If I remember correctly, it was KRW3,000. I really love this so much! It looks simple but it is really fragrant. You just mix em' all together and eat it as a side along with your Jjimdak.
Address: 서대문구 대현동 27-4 2층 [27-4 Daehyeon-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul]
P.S. Do note it is on the 2nd level.
*Do google before heading there as this was based on my last visit in November 2015.

The second place that I had tried Jjiamdak was: BONGCHU JJIMDAK.
They have an outlet in Singapore Raffles City basement as well but I had yet to try it.
We went to the outlet in Myeongdong.
When I was there, I tried the one which had mixture of seafood in it. I am not so much a fan of this restaurant as I felt there were "too many" spices in the dish. Perhaps I prefer a dish that is less "messy" as there were huge chunks of chilli and leek all around. To be fair, we ordered a seafood and chicken and a normal chicken one. Seafood lovers will love this, however I feel it maybe a little too spicy and overly flavourful for me.
Address: 33-9, Myeong-dong 2-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul-si

Personal preference: Would still prefer Yeolbong Jjimdak over this.
