Happy Belated Birthday Girlie Girl!!!

Image
I am a day late getting this one posted but better late than never. Kami turned the big 7 yesterday. It is hard for me to believe that it was 7 years ago that I was waiting very impatiently to see my little one. She is definitely my miracle girl. Kami wasn't due until January 12th. But she is always one to do things her way. Kami was breech at birth and had a knot in the umbilical cord. She inhaled amniotic fluid and needed to be intubated. She spent her first three days of life in the NICU. I am so glad that she stuck it out and graced our family with he grace. We call Kami our politically correct girl. She never wants to hurt anyone's feelings. She had the biggest heart. She cries at the animal shelter commercials. Kami also has says and does the funniest things. Around here we have started calling them Kamisms. You never know what will come out of her mouth. Even when she is sleeping she tends to be funny. She is always so full of life, yet she knows when to

Natvity Fetish

8 or 9 years ago I found a precious memories nativity at Goodwill. I loved that Nativity set. However, somewhere in our move from Moses Lake to Spokane the Nativity set went missing. Now I am VERY picky about my nativity set. I have certain ways I like them to look, plus not wanting to spend a fortune made finding a replacement was very hard. Well finally about 4 years ago I found this set. It is plastic even though it looks metal. I love that on this set the "angel" is playing a musical instrument and I LOVE all the animals in this set. Well last month we were out at the treasure barn (those of you in Moses, think bargain town but a little nicer) and in a very back room they had this set. Originally, I thought I would paint them white but after trying that I was not happy so I went back to the ivory and LOVE it. I am not sure why this one stands out so much for me but the people seem so calm and peaceful. This one is actually ceramic. This one also has a funny story behind i

Co-workers gifts.

I love working in the schools but I hate it at the same time. I work closely with 6 people in the front office as well as a special educaiton team of 15. So add that together and I am getting gifts for 21 people and that is not the teachers, aides and parents that I also work with. So trying to find something that is personal yet not bank breaking is so hard. Last year I did homemade hot chocolate mix in jars that I found at Goodwill that I etched. This year I was at a lost so I just picked up small chinese take out containers from the dollar store that had Christmas thing on them and filled them with peppermint bark. For some of those that are a little closer to me they also got a snow man in a jar. You should of seen the look on David's face when I asked where the baby food was kept at in the store. But hey when you don't have little ones around you don't buy it and a small glass jar was $7 and I was able to get ten glass jars for $7 by just getting them with baby

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEZRI!!!!!! Today is Kezri's tenth birthday. I can't believe that girl survived ten years. I remember when she was born she was the simplest birth out of all three of my girls. In and out. I had her on Friday morning and by Sunday we were at Grandma and Grandpa O's decorating the Christmas Tree. She was such a quiet and content baby. With a full head of hair and beautiful curls. She was the spitting image of her dad, as seen here with a comparison picture of her at kindergarten and her dad about the same age. She was so quiet and content that we often questioned her hearing. She would not jump or even flinch when a loud noise occured by her. She loved her travel bassinet. She would travel all over the house in that thing with me. It never failed where ever I sat her down Sabrina would lay next to her. She also always had such a serious look on her face. She was the one baby that as soon as I would hand her to someone to hold they would hand her

Okay so I figured I would get caught up on all the pictures that need to be put out there. So here they are. Halloween: Kami went as a baker and Kezri as a mime. Super easy and no one else was dressed like them. Got to love homemade. Girls newest pictures: Last picture is of a purse that I whipped up in 40 minutes for Kalaree to take to her YW gift exchange. Thank you mom for teaching me how to sew. I am so glad I got the crafty gene. Oh and Kalaree took this picture and left teh purse on top of the wrapping paper so you get a visually distracting picture. Sorry.

Weekend update

It was a very busy and productive weekend. David actually had both Saturday and Sunday off since he was suppose to go to the preisthood leadership training for the teachers quorum this weekend but it was canceled due to weather. So we were able to be like an actual family this weekend. Daivd and Kezri finished hanging all the outside christmas lights. We even got the music box out and now how our little light show. The funny thing is that in the apartment it looked packed but on our front lawn it looks little. What a difference a little space makes. Friday Kezri had her birthday sleep over. She had two girls from her class come and we made pizzas for dinner and then decorated cupcakes and they watched movies and did the typical fourth grade girl stuff. Like color mustaches on faces of celebraties in magizines and dance to lour music in thier PJs. They even allowed Kami to draw with them when they laid paper on the floor and colored with Kezri's new gel pens. Saturday, Kami

This little piggy went to sleep

I finished up the pig of the farm animal balls last night. I left it sitting on the entertainment center and this morning Kami was snuggling with it and fell back to sleep. My girls are going to have a hard time giving those up at Christmas. Kira is getting a well loved toy.

Christmas is coming

...and I am done with MY Christmas shopping. David still has a few gifts to get but all in all we are finished. However, I am getting real ambitious this year and decided that I want to sew. So I started out with an outfit for Kami for her birthday which of course meant that I needed to do one for Kezri. This is what I picked. Of course the fabric will be different but the outfit will be like this: Then I decided that they needed Christmas dresses too. So this is what I will be doing: Then I wanted to do something fun for the nephews and this is what I found: Which leaves something nice for my Niece. I thought these were too cute: I already sewed the chick last night and my girls keep fighting over it. I will be sewing every spare minute this month. But I can't wait to get everything done. Let me tell you that was a lot of fabric to purchase too. I even ventured to Fabric Depot in Portland. I took David with me for his first time there and he was so funny to watch as we walked
