Pickles group: Whole pickles: Pickle Chips: Bread and Butter pickles: Salsa: We (Kezri and I) spent this whole weekend bonding over the waterbath. We started with Saturday and doing the Salsa for this year. We were able to get 14 jard of salsa done and then on Sunday we ended up doing pickles. We weren't going to do pickles tillt he following week but the place I ordered the pickling cukes from got a box in early. We ended up with 5 quarts of whole pickles, 5 quarts of pickle chips, 7 pints of pickle wedges and 5 quarts of bread and butter pickles. (Mom, I think I found the recipe on my own. It called for celery seed and tumeric.) David loves them and hopefully they won't all be gone before you get to visit. Next weekend will be the apple butter and then I can put the canner away for the next year. I know every year I says this one will be the last but then at this time of year I can't help it.
